Thanks Volt! I highly recommend this roofing and solar company. Buck and his team are great: very…read moreknowledgable, hard-working, and have amazing attention to detail. On top of that, they're just good down-to-earth people. We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. All in all, if you need a new roof or solar system or home battery, or all of the above, call Volt. They are a competent and professional group of local people who are really f**king good at what they do.

He came in $20,000 lower than one bid and at least half that on another bid. He finished the job a week early and under budget. His men were professional and very knowledgeable and were very careful with my property. My new roof looks amazing! I simply can't recommend this company enough.

I had solar installed for my home several months ago after finding Sunwave Energy on Google. I…read moredecided to wait a few months before posting a review so I could get a strong understanding of the level of financial savings I would experience over several months time. I have to say, I am so happy with my decision and my savings even slightly exceeded what my projected savings had. When I began shopping for solar I was pretty new to the concept and really needed to work with a company who was willing to educate me and walk me through the entire process. I contacted three companies and received consults/quotes from each of them. I worked directly with the owner of Sunwave, Jose Alvarez. He was knowledgeable, professional and detail-oriented and he clearly enjoys what he does. That was a huge determining factor for me in making my purchasing decision. I also found his price to be very competitive in comparison to the other estimates I received. I am very happy with my decision to give this locally-owned business my support. I would highly recommend considering them for your solar project.

Outstanding Service & Professionalism - Highly Recommend Sunwave Energy!…read more Working with Jose and the team at Sunwave Energy has been an incredible experience from start to finish. From our very first meeting, Jose was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping us find the right solar solution for our home. He took the time to walk us through every step of the process and made sure we understood all of our options. The installation of our brand new solar system and backup batteries went smoothly and was completed on time. The crew was respectful, efficient, and clearly experienced--they treated our home with care and kept the worksite clean throughout the project. What really stood out was the level of communication. Jose kept us updated every step of the way and was always available to answer any questions, even after the system was up and running. We feel confident knowing we have a reliable and responsive team behind our energy system. Now that everything is up and running, our energy bills have dropped significantly, and we have the peace of mind that comes with backup power during outages. It's a great feeling to be more energy independent and to know we worked with a company that truly cares about their customers. If you're considering solar, do yourself a favor and call Jose at Sunwave Energy. You won't regret it!

From the start, the process was confusing and did not inspire confidence. We were initially told the HVAC system would be replaced, but later informed that the space would not accommodate it as planned. The scope of work seemed unclear and ultimately was not completed as originally explained. Since installation, we have continued to experience significant temperature imbalance throughout the home. The living room becomes very cold, while the bedroom remains warm and uncomfortable--especially at night. This has been a consistent issue for the past year. Additionally, the system appears to be oversized for a home of this size. Installing a three-ton unit in a 972 sq ft space raises concerns about improper system sizing, which can lead to short cycling, poor airflow distribution, and uneven temperatures--exactly what we are experiencing. Communication has also been extremely frustrating. We have struggled to get clear answers or meaningful follow-up regarding these ongoing issues, despite raising concerns multiple times. We were recently informed that the project passed inspection, but passing inspection does not reflect real-world performance. A properly installed HVAC system should provide consistent comfort throughout the home, and that is not happening here. After a full year of unresolved issues, incomplete work, and lack of communication, we cannot recommend this company.

These rebates were promised to be sent to me within 60 days after installation. I have still not received them and today is February 2026. This company installed my HVAC units in December 2024 (total $17,000+ ) and also promised rebates totaling $10,000 to be processed and sent to me within 60 days. I accepted a 12 months no interest loan. My plan was to put the $10,000 towards the loan and payoff the remaining balance in its entirety. I have reached out and communicated with the owner Jesse on a monthly and sometimes weekly basis to no avail. I've only received excuses as for the reasons rebates hasn't been processed. Also, I must mention I referred 2 customers to Clear Efficiency and their installs were completed in approx February and March; they BOTH have received their rebate checks. It is now February 2026 and the loan is no longer no interest a the monthly payment is astronomical and not in my financial budget. This long process has stressed me out, caused emotional harm, and the inability to pay the huge monthly payment. ~signed a very frustrated customer !

Is this company even still in business or do they just have a zombie voice mail system that…read morepretends to take messages but doesn't really? They installed my system back in 2016 and now that it's not working (again!) I can't seem to get anyone to return voice mails or emails. Needless to say, no one ever actually picks up the phone when you call. I had initially resisted the impulse to leave a bad review because, as of the last time I had a problem, they at least made it right after much fuss, but this time they're not even pretending to care, so here goes: 1. Initial installation: While both SMUD and the City of Sacramento passed the work they did in my panel, an electrician I hired later for unrelated reasons found they'd left a dangerous rat's nest including multiple instances of "double tapping." I paid him to clean it up and, in Sunfinity's defense, they reimbursed me (I had photographic evidence). But had I not had that other work done, I'd have been left with a fire hazard. 2. Some time later I began getting faults during the hot part of the year and went quite some time without it generating. They were still returning phone calls back in those days, but I got a lot of nonsense about simply needing to power cycle the system and the like. Obviously, that was ridiculous, but someone finally did come and figure it out. 3. They promised 24/7 monitoring via the Internet, but this is either a complete and total lie, or they do indeed monitor but never actually do anything with the information they receive. They never noticed the above-mentioned fault and they never noticed when the system was unable to communicate for MONTHS (due to something *I* had done and easily fixed, once I noticed) some time later. Likewise, now that I'm having faults again, they've never attempted to contact me about them. 4. There was a different Internet communication issue very early on and they put a lot of work into trying to convince me it was due to something I was doing wrong. Uh, no. I don't know everything, but I'm a major computer nerd and knew the problem wasn't on my network. Someone finally reluctantly opened the inverter and found the real problem. 5. The system has never produced as much as they claimed it would, but I pretty much expected that due to lots of trees. Still, it would have been nice if they had not over-promised. In fact, two other companies I'd talked to first declined to install a system at all due to the shade issues. Maybe I should have just let it go at that point. 6. I bought the system outright for well over $20,000. At the time I really thought I was doing the right thing, but I regret it now. 7. Don't take my word for it, also look up this company at the BBB website. If someone from Sunfinity gets in touch with me to work this out, I will happily update this review. But, based on my experiences and the experiences of others who've posted here, I suspect that they won't. In fact, I've already begun the process of contacting another company to see if they can help me...which of course means I'll need to pay even more money to someone else to fix the problem Sunfinity doesn't care about.
