We stopped in for lunch. Was in a great mood. Ordered our food. During the wait, my daughter called to talk to her son (we have custody). During this facetime call, my grandson's grandmother shared that his great-grandmother had passed away and was now in heaven. While trying to console him, the lady bartender came and asked us to turn down our phone. Now, if the place had been silent, I would have probably gone outside in the first place. However, we were in a booth, and fairly separated. Needless to say, we turned down the phone and had a hard time hearing due to the loudness of everyone else talking, who were not asked to be quieter. No matter if we liked the food or not, we will not be back. In an already sad situation, moods to eat and move forward in a positive manner were completely ruined by the female bartender. read more

Went to Grahams Landing last night for dinner during our small family reunion in Pawley's Island. Our son had the ribs, which he enjoyed. Our daughter had she crab soup and fish tacos. She loved the soup and thought the tacos were good. Daughter-in-law ate a crab cake sandwich, which she thought was outstanding. My husband and I both had flounder. He liked his twice baked potato a lot, and my sweet potato fries were good. Getting a handful of brown sugar on top of the fries was a nice touch, I've never seen that before. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed in the flounder. In both our dishes the fried flounder was limp, lukewarm, and somewhat tough. The staff was great, except for our hostess which is unfortunate since she was the first person we interacted with. In fact when we left at the end of our meal, she totally ignored us as we walked past, no good bye, or any other kind of acknowledgement. Would we go back? Maybe, but we sure would never order the flounder again. read more

Had the crab cake sandwich, it was good but not something I would have again. Had onion rings with my sandwich, very good and made fresh - not frozen. I've heard about this place for years now and my parents have been and enjoyed it. However, last night was quite disappointing. We started off ordering half a dozen raw oysters. While the oysters were good, the cocktail sauce was frozen and we could barely get any use out of it. After that we waited about 40 minutes to get our food. Our waitress told us at least 3 times the food was almost out. Never once apologized or acknowledged the ridiculously long wait time. By the time we got our food, it was cold. My mom and I got the stuffed shrimp and it was swimming in the juices from the side of vegetables they give you. The shrimp and crab meat was cold. The other meals were cold as well. Overall a pretty disappointing experience. I don't know if it was an off night or bad wait service, but it was not a good meal. I hope they can do better in the future. read more

Unfortunately, this place did not live up to its reviews. The cocktails were mixed a little too heavy handed. Additionally the food flavoring and seasoning was overpowering and downright unappetizing. Fair warning, you will be annihilated by bugs should you choose to sit outside. We by-passed several seafood restaurants to come on down here and try it out based on reviews. I loved the rustic quaint old house. When you're new it's hard to see the hidden front entrance from the parking lot--all the more quaint. I wanted she-crab soup, it was out of this world with Sherry added, I'm pretty sure. A small side salad came close to filling me up. But I had room for REAL Key Lime Pie which they had and it was dreamy. My husband had a cup of Low Country Seafood Stew (big chunks of everything, a bit of hot), flavorful plus a half salad with grilled shrimp. He was full but he ordered the grilled bourbon something cake (can't find it's name and forgot). It was huge and "to die for". Be sure to open the "wine list" book and watch it light up! Fun!! Came for lunch with our puppy in tow. We sat on the back patio and were greeted with a fresh bowl of dog water and water for us. Robert took great care of us. I loved the she - crab soup, it had huge chunks of real crab and was reasonable priced. My husband's burger was huge, he could hardly finish it. No draft beer, but a large selection of bottled was available. View of the marsh was partially blocked by the high top counter but not an issue for us. Large fans helped to cool us off. read more

We keep coming back for the shrimp boil! It is delicious! The patio dining is also very nice. Wait staff are very friendly and attentive. The only complaint I've ever had is occasionally flies are very annoying on the deck but we were warned by the hostess when they were particularly bad one time and we chose to sit outside anyway. The shrimp, flounder, and scallops were delicious. We had green beans as our vegetable with a baked potato. My concern was the baked potato was hard as if it had been reheated. The grit cake was also delicious. Many of the strand restaurants tend to serve hush puppies with honey butter, or different sauces. I missed hush puppies but I didn't miss the Merle's Inlet cluster of crowds. We will be back. read more

We decided to give them a try again (three years later) and I am so glad we did! I don't remember exactly what all we ordered- we kind of just got a assortment of items- but they were all awesome. The waitress was super helpful and recommended some great drinks to go with our food. The view of the marsh is one of my favorites, too. read more

To finish the dinner we shared a homemade bourbon pecan pound cake that was grilled , drizzled with warm Carmel and chocolate sauce and two dollops of fresh whipped cream. We went 6-25-20, for dinner, I ordered the catch of the day, grouper grilled. The fish was fine, served with a caper sauce on the side. That as a good idea since the sauce was to salty. The twice baked potato was dry, must have been left over baked from last week. The corn was good, a 1/4 of an ear. Salad before meal was in a small plastic bowl. There was no room to cut up the salad without it sliding out onto the table. The meal cost $26.00, very disappointed in the meal. The service as great, everyone was very pleasant. I think they need new ideas in the kitchen. My husband and I were with our friends and his food was served in a small plastic basket. It wasn't our first time there we went last summer and it as great. We ant be going back until we see improvements, which means we will review ratings and checkout the inside appearance.
