Hubby and I couldn't figure out what we wanted this Easter Day but we wanted crawfish so we picked this buffet. The price for a Sunday and a Holiday was only $17.99 a person which really is a good price. The crawfish and boiled shrimp were delicious. They were large size and seasoned very well. We didn't eat much else but there is plenty of yummy things to choose from. I always have to get some of the little cakes for dessert. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. It was very clean and not loud although there was as a lot of people here. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a Chinese buffet.

Went there for dinner at about 6pm on a Monday evening. Ambience of this place was ok, nothing special. Was clean and tidy and well lit. Service was great. Good parking also. The place was never more than 25% full. Food was similar to the ambience - nothing special, with American Chinese dishes. Their pizza was the best looking dish there (I did not sample). Really wanted to rate it 2.5/5 but half stars are not supported.

Fried frog legs, onion rings, pepper steak & onion, hot & spicy shrimp, and a sweet biscuit.

Service was good until our server took her break. The other lady was careless, she brought the watered down pitcher of coke to refill at the table. The food was a 7.5 out of 10, some items were cold and were sitting for a while. The seafood was good, not too spicy and not lacking flavor. I would stay away from their sushi. Definitely a hidden gem. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant. 9 people were in the entire establishment, excluding the employees.

An Asian buffet that gets a 5 star review? This one is worth it. Service is impeccable. Their hot and sour soup rivals any place in town. My husband says the crabs are a hit or miss but I've found the seafood, especially the fried calamari they have at dinner to be fantastic. Their sushi bar offers more options than I'd expect and the fish is fresh. There's plenty of chances to try something new. I always go for the lo-mein but there are many pasta dishes that hit the spot, even the American ones.

We knew about the dress code beforehand and dressed accordingly. We only waited five minutes before being seated. The parking lot is next to the building; it's small, but we found a spot. It took us a month and a half to get a reservation, so we were excited but ultimately disappointed. The restaurant's atmosphere was beautiful--very classy and elegant. The service was sometimes slow; it took a moment to order and receive our food. When it arrived, it was cold and not fresh. The Mamere's crab soup had very little crab, as shown in the pictures. The fried catfish was cooked in old grease, as was all the fried food we ordered, including the seafood platter, crab cakes, and oysters. The crab cakes seemed old in general. The person in my party who ordered the gumbo said it was okay but nothing special. The Louisiana redfish was tough--possibly overcooked--and served cold. The crawfish étouffée was also cold and lacking flavor. The French fries appeared freshly fried; however, the macaroni and cheese was cold and seemed old. The candied yams were the best side: they were cold but tasted like they were freshly made. For dessert, we asked which items were made in-house or bought. We were told the praline bread pudding and peach cobbler were made in-house. The praline bread pudding was hot and seemed fresh; one person in my party said it was good. Although service was sometimes slow, our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a friend, mainly because we traveled to New Orleans solely for this visit, and it wasn't worth it. The food, in my opinion, wasn't good and didn't justify the wait for the reservation. I left disappointed, and we didn't take any leftovers to go because the food was old and cold. Ultimately one star.

It's a mom-and-pop, carryout-only restaurant that serves traditional soul food. I've only had their breakfast so far, but it's been consistently excellent. My go-to is the fried fish breakfast, and it's amazing every single time. I haven't made my way through the lunch menu yet--the steak and cheese, chicken wings, and other options are definitely on my list to try. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. I've never had a bad meal here, and the owners are always friendly, which makes the experience even better. The only downside is the wait. This is definitely a place where you should order ahead. Even when you do, there's a good chance you'll still have to wait a little while after you arrive. That can be frustrating if you're in a hurry, but it's something I've come to expect, and honestly, it doesn't stop me from coming back. I just factor the extra time into my plans because I know the food is worth it. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot with homemade, soul food-style cooking, I highly recommend giving Norma's a try. Based on how consistently good the breakfast has been, I have a feeling the lunch is just as good. Once I finally get around to trying it, I'll definitely be back with another review.

The Real Deal - Still My Favorite After 9 Years…read more I wrote my first review for this place back in February 2017, and here we are in April 2026. After nine years of lunches and dinners, I just had to come back and say thank you. In a city that's constantly changing with fancy new tourist spots or quick grab and go windows, this place is a constant. It hasn't changed, and that's exactly why I love it. When I walk in and grab a seat, I feel right at home. It's casual, it's comfortable, and it's the real New Orleans. The food is just as good today as it was nearly a decade ago. I find myself constantly craving their po-boys and gumbo. Whether it's the hot fish, the stuffed peppers, or the mashed potatoes, you can tell everything is made with quality ingredients and a lot of love. The family that runs this business has a huge heart for the community, and it shows. If you are a local looking for authentic Cajun food that stays true to its roots, look no further. This is the kind of staple we are lucky to have.

I'm so glad I did. The guy working behind the counter told me they had just started doing something new. I don't know what they did, but it's absolutely astounding. Very rich (for a pho). TONS of beef. One bowl is enough for two people imo. The crawfish boudin is another standout menu option. When it warms up a bit I want to try their snowballs too!

This restaurant is located in a great location. In a large shopping center. So parking is not an issue. They have plenty of parking that surrounds them. They have bunch of handicapped parking spots in the front with ramp on the right side. They do have a few steps in front for easy access. As you walk in, you are greeted by the staff. They mention that someone will be with us shortly. We went on a Sunday before it got crowded. They said we lucked out. They usually get busy when local churches get out. We quickly paid for our table and advised us we welcome to sit anywhere we like. They said they offer many discounts available. Please ask before paying. We sat at a table near the front of the restaurant and easy access to the buffet. They mainly have large tables with hard wood seats and no padding. The waitress quickly took our drink order. Started out with an Arnold Palmer. Rare that they offer that. I don't know so far that another restaurant that offers this. And an ice water. She mentioned that they offer a small selection of beer? We declined. (Drink responsibly) The first plate was sample plate to get my lay of the land. Unfortunately my first plate was full. I noticed that they offer gumbo. So I had to come back for another plate. No offense, the cup was not enough. I was surprised that they served fried swai not catfish. The cornbread was delicious! Usually they are dry at most places. Maybe they been sitting out so long they dry out. This is not the case with them. The gumbo was seasoned just right. It is only chicken and sausage gumbo. Not seafood. Usually you can tell when it is freshly made. To me, it not only look good but taste great! Unfortunately they did not have ice box cake available. Few of the reviews mentioned to definitely grab a piece. However, they did have freshly made bread pudding and chocolate delight. Both were delicious! I could go on about the food. I digress. They offer free Wi-Fi but is password protected. If you are in the area and want some good food. This place does not disappoint. In my opinion.
