I really enjoy this place. It is nicely decorated and they play Mexican music. The outdoor seating area is especially pleasant. The staff is excellent and friendly. The food is not super authentic, but delicious American Mexican. I love that they give free chips and salsa. My favorite dish is the pork pastor fajitas. I'd also like to give a shout out to our waitress last time Gaby, who took especially good care of my son and I. She even offered to bring extra limes and tomatoes for my son since he enjoyed them so much. read more

TLDR; Jumbo Margarita unclear price tag; lack of alcohol, waste of $@ I really wanted to love this place as it's a chain and I figured they must be amazing to be able to open multiple locations. It's alright. We made reservations for a large party and when we got there, they didn't have our table ready. What is the point of making a reservations if you don't have your act together? The staff had to ask a couple to move over so they can fit add another table. I felt bad as it's not their fault that they came to enjoy their meal and mid-meal were asked to move down. I hope they got some kind of compensation for their kindness, though I doubt it. I started with an order of the Jumbo Diablo Spicy margaritas for my drink. I ordered tacos and they were fine. I asked for a side of jalapeños, didn't realize they'll charge me $1 for 4 small slices, I don't mind paying for it, but a heads up would've been nice. We got our bill, well, we had to ask for it, but boy was I shocked when I realized my Jumbo Diablo costed $30 Please take a look at the picture, but the menu is not clear at all. It has the list of margarita and their description. Next to it is a price of about $15. But on the top right hand corner, it says Small $9, Jumbo $10, and $30 Pitcher. If you wanted to add flavors it's an additional price and it's listed. So here I was ordering a Jumbo, thinking it was $15, as I don't want a small for $9. The mistake was they should've added language that says an additional $15 to the price tag that was there. Anyways, you can imagine my shock when I saw that my two jumbo margaritas costed me $60. For that price, I better be drunk, unfortunately, I wasn't so it also made me suspect there wasn't a lot of alcohol. Overall, this place has left a bad taste in my mouth, from the "reservation" of our party to the misleading menu. So Adios! read more

It was just ok. We got there at 2pm on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. There was no designated bartender at the time, though we still chose to sit at the bar because it had a nice view of the place. I am sure we would have gotten better service had we chosen a booth. Chips and salsa came quick but it was slow to place our order. The food came out quick and was ok, but it was nothing special. I had the enchiladas Rojas and Dave had the tacos el alambre. It felt like something was missing, maybe we should have asked for 'spicy' or seasoned. We had high expectations since the Tyrone square location is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. I pass by this place nearly everyday, so I figured I should drop by and give it a try. Overall, a pretty solid place for Tex-Mex food. I decided to try the Birria Tacos and thought they were pretty decent. They were pretty generous with the meat, and the meat itself was tender and flavorful. However, I did wish they went with the traditional method of dunking the taco in the sauce and searing it on the flattop, along with giving you a serving of the consommé on the side for further dipping. Service was pretty decent and the restaurant itself was quite spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, a decent place I don't mind coming back to with friends :) read more

I love this place because of their giant margaritas. You can get jumbo size and say you're only drinking one margarita. I also love how you can add flavor to any margs. I started with the Hacienda-rita. You will taste the grapefruit juice and it made me feel healthy. I would definitely get it again. The second drink I got was a skinny margarita with mango. I found the mango to make it overly sweet, so I'll only get it again if I want a sweet drink. I got the shrimp salad and I'm not the biggest fan. There looks like a ton of other great options, so this is just for future me to know to try something else. Our server was so nice and friendly. We came here for my birthday with 14 women total and the service was top notch. I love the ambiance of the place, it's so colorful and happy. They let you bring in your own cake, which my friend did for me, and then they give you a sombrero when they sing you happy birthday. I would recommend that everyone check this place out. We enjoy coming to Grand Hacienda whenever we crave Mexican food. The margaritas never disappoint. This location is less than five miles from our house. The atmosphere is usually upbeat and fun. Excelente We were in Tampa for an infrequent visit. My wife had done some research and came up with a handful of restaurants she was interested in that were close to where we would be, including the Grand Hacienda. Based on the menu, price, and some of the more positive reviews we decided, and we were not disappointed. Everybody loved their food, including me. For dinner, I had their Carnitas, a pulled pork dish from an award winning recipe with typical sides. This is where I say Mexican food is not one of my favorite cuisines, which I don't believe is true any longer. Regardless, I picked this meal because with the pulled pork it sounded closer to a BBQ dish, which I love. The meat was exceptionally good, the rice, onions, and my choice of refried beans also good. As a big flavor guy, I particularly liked the pickled jalapenos. My wife loved her Pollo Camero, and she doesn't always love the food when we eat out. Service was fine, no problems. Other reviews talk about how their service was outstanding, ours may have been that too had we made an effort to interact more. The meals took just under 10 minutes to arrive after we ordered. We liked the place, definitely a Mexican themed décor, the energetic music a little too loud. read more

I dined here for lunch on a Saturday with my husband and my son's family. For an all ages restaurant, there was something for everyone. To start, the hostess was very accommodating in giving us a large booth that we could get a booster seat and an infant carrier in as well as 4 adults. They had a nice kids menu and a very large menu with options for a lunch menu or dinner menu and brunch on the weekends. We started with a basket of complimentary chips and a thick salsa. It says on the menu that there is one free basket of chips per table which we didn't finish before our meals arrived, but they did give us a second complimentary salsa.Oir table was checked on a few times which was nice and our waters and soda never sat empty. I had also asked for a spicier salsa and Oh Boy, it was really spicy! Our entrées were brought out hot and with huge portions. They even brought the kids meal a few minutes before the adult meals so it would cool and we could all eat at the same time. The kids cheeseburger has two kinds of cheese, and the burger was a nice sized portion with lots of fries and a few ketchup packets. The food was really delicious. I had the slow roasted brisket tacos that came with a little avocado, tomato salad, and rice. It had some cooked onions pompano peppers with melted cheese. The Enchiladas had a nice green sauce on top and a good portion of rice and beans on the side. The quesadillas were filled well and melted perfectly with a side of sour cream and lettuce. Overall, we all enjoyed the meal. There is both inside and outside seating, and the decor inside is great to look at. Parking is plentiful which is also a bonus. read more
