He must be family, otherwise any competant business would fire him for his (lack of) customer service. He's the short bald middle aged guy that is one of their tire experts it seems. I've know them for over 15 years. I thought it would be nice to bring my tire here to get fixed with the same people. Originally I went because I got one flat tire. The tire wore out because of a bad alignment job done by this same shop! Turns out that all tires were worn out on the insides because of same reason. I had all 4 tires replaced here about 8 months ago. Owner had to tell me all my rims need to be replace because of a crack on each one of them?!?! Really???? He started telling me that I need to choose the new rims?!?! Well I told him I don't think so... After all these years relationship. I took my car to different tire place. They were literally done in 50 minutes, which was insanely fast compared to my past experiences elsewhere. They are professional and friendly and get the job fast. Today my son and I visited Grand Prix Performance to have them put on Michelin tires on his black HRE rims. My son had removed the wheel from the car himself and removed the wheel weights as he has had tire dealers damage his rims using a die grinder or sandpaper to remove the glue reside from the wheel weights. He had spent $30 getting special black wheel weights as the dealers just put on plain lead weights which is not correct for a black rim. My son is very knowledgeable and he inquired about the tire machines to ascertain if they would damage his rims. He then started inquiring about the tire balance options and this elderly gentleman who identified himself as the owner started screaming and waving his arms "you are a pain in the ass" and for him to get his wheel and get the "f . . . out there" out of there along with other profanities. He kept ranting, screaming and waving his arms. In my 64 years of life I have never seen an adult act with such anger and aggression, I was concerned about our safety and I can assure you we got out of there as fast as we could. I've seen young children have a temper tantrum but this was something else. I thought he was going to have a heart attack. All because my son asked a couple of question? The business has a right not to want to do business with someone, they do not have a right to behave aggressively, bully and scream profanities at them. Totally disrespectful and expensive services. At least that's how it was with me. I asked how much the service would cost. They didn't answer and said I should wait a little bit, then they started fixing my flat tire and said I would have to pay $25 bucks for it!! $25 for ONE FLAT TIRE??? OWNER IS PSYCHOTIC - NEARLY ASSAULTED MY FATHER AND I WHILE SCREAMING OBSENITIES Worst service I have ever had anywhere, ever. Never had anyone speak to me like the owner of Grand Prix did today.. My father and I both ran out of there as we were afraid he was going to assault us, not exaggerating. I wish we had a video of this psycho. Went to Grand Prix to get a new set of Michelin super sport tires for my bmw and despite me being extremely polite our business ended with the owner telling me I was a "pain in the ass and to get the f**k out of his shop." In fact he screamed the "F" word (and others) in my face as my father and I were leaving (running) out of his shop while carrying my wheels. What set him off is I, as I always do with any tire shop, went over the excellent condition of my custom HRE wheels to manage expectations and make sure they are careful with then. I also explained that my m3 is very sensitive to imbalances so I would like to do their road force balance (vs limit balance done at discount tire, etc). This must have struck a cord with the owner for some odd reason as it really made the guy come unglued as described above. I feel bad for his family and employees. read more

I've been going here since I can remember, and my mom has been going to Berj since she was 18! Needless to say, Berj knows me and my family and we'll never go anywhere else to get our tires. And let me note that we don't have fancy cars... my mom had a Chevy Astro Van, I have a Corolla, and my sister has a Jeep. You don't have to roll up in a Porche to be treated fairly. One good example of the excellent service they provide is when my sister had to get her car serviced up in Fresno. She had a feeling the guy was ripping her off so she called Berj to ask what he would charge her. Sure enough, the guy was charging her way to much O&P and labor for the work they were doing. Berj called the mechanic directly and demanded that he only charge my sister what he would have charged her. He ended up saving her a couple hundred dollars! How many of you have a mechanic like that... huh? Way to go Berj! read more

The owner and workers are incredibly friendly and welcoming and definitely the best experience I've had with car service (as it's very hard to find an honest car repair shop as a girl that doesn't know much about cars) I needed to replace a tire and they took me in right away and even switched at one of my tires that wasn't the correct size at no additional charge! Jerry, Berj and the Grand Prix Team were very efficient in replacing my 4 tires. They have a very cool lounge (waiting room) area with a MAC computer for customer use. I'm very impressed with the service I received here, some time ago I took my BMW 330 in to find a full size spare tire on a M3 rim and they set me up just fine with a slightly used tire and rim at a reasonable price. Very recently I took my vintage VW van into to check the balance of my oversized tires and I received excellent and fast service, they did a few extra things and I was out in less than an hour after paying a reasonable price. Since January I've had 3 nails/screws in my tires. Not only did they fix the tire, one had to be replaced because of where it went into the tire, but when I came back the second and third time they repaired it no charge and told me "to stop running over nail/screws!" Honestly, then completed the paperwork for me to turn into my lease company for reimbursement.
