Crispy garlic chilly chicken with side of rice

Teak House has excellent broad noodles that they sell under the item Teak House noodle , you can choose chicken beef shrimp to go with it. It's basically a bunch of rice noodles, flat and broad, over a bed of lettuce like salad with the meat mixed in. All you need a nice hot sauce ... I used a red pepper powder , an Ethiopian variety called meetmeeta made of tiny red peppers that are crushed with the seeds ... on heat scale of 1 - 5 . It would be a 3.8.

Best pad Thai I have ever had in my entire life. Love the owner she is so sweet! She is very fast paced. Food has never ever disappointed me. Only Thai food I will ever eat no matter how far the drive is I always make this commute.

You know what ? I wonder why I didn't want to try this little Thai restaurant when I've been in Burien for years now. The hostess/waitress asked me the same question. Haha! I usually go to another restaurant in Tukwila, but I honestly wanted to see how this nearby Teak House Restaurant would be since it's like 1 minute from my place. I ordered Thai basil fried rice and Pad-See-Eww [SP]. The portions are great, and the taste is awesome! Now, I have a go-to Thai restaurant for take-out food. I am not so sure about the restaurant interior as it is outdated with furnitures and small. I would prefer this place to be a take-out option rather than actually sit there and have food. The interior reminds me of a Teriyaki restaurant, which is typically bland, old, and simple. Anyway, don't let the restaurant interior discouraging you from entering the premise. The friendly and funny hostess/waitress won't bore you. It'll be a quick place for a bite with your friend(s) or take-out spot for dinner time in Normandy Park/Burien area. You won't regret it!

    Curry beef $24

Holy cow - to go beef curry with rice for lunch is $24?!?! Better be good! Prices gone up definitely!

Receipt for Pad prik khing, Veggie garden delight, and Garden fries rice w/ shrimp.

We ordered Pad prik khing, Veggie garden delight, and Garden fries rice w/ shrimp. The total came to $60 which is almost twice the amount you'd expect based on their menu prices on Yelp. And with that outrageous price, it didn't come with rice - so we had to make our own.

The interior has been beautifully refreshed. It's now bright, cozy, and inviting, with new chairs, tables, and tasteful decor that make the space feel warm and welcoming. We were greeted warmly by the waitstaff and seated right away. We ordered the papaya salad, stir fried seafood with curry powder and Panang curry. Every dish was absolutely delicious, well-seasoned, flavorful, and packed with taste. The portions were generously sized for two people and we even had enough leftovers to take home. We'll definitely be back soon and will be recommending this restaurant to friends and family. Highly recommended!

Rice is a basic part of Thai cuisine, just as rice is commonly served with many Chinese dishes. If I order an entrée at a Chinese restaurant, I would normally expect rice to be included or at least reasonably available as part of the meal. Having to order rice separately makes the meal feel incomplete and adds an unexpected extra charge. I understand that restaurants have different policies, but for a Thai restaurant, especially on a weekend, I think rice should come with the entrée. Hopefully, the restaurant will reconsider this policy.

This was during a Saturday evening close to 6pm and I got in to a fine-dining and casual mashup of an interior, where lights hang above the booths. Service here was on point, and food came out within 10 or so minutes of ordering despite the place filling up fast sometime after placing our order. Overall, food quality was just okay. Breaking each one down: - Tom yum: the soup was far more sweet than it was salty or even sour. The balance among all three of these was uneven, and the condiments inside didn't help. - Papaya salad: overall dish didn't taste too fresh and was oddly sour. There wasn't any sort of flavor kick in it and just tasted like regular salad at times. - Thai basil fried rice: the dish oddly didn't come in as hot as the other two. Flavor profile was bland, and rice was dry and a little hard. From previous visits I would recommend their pad see ew, since I don't remember any other dishes I've gotten from here besides that. One of my friends also recommended their duck curry, so I'll give that a try on my next visit here when I can.

Vermicelli with pork and egg rolls (5/5) The pork is very tender and tastes delicious, the sauce that comes with it is not overly salty and you don't need to pour so much since the noodles and ingredients taste very flavorful already. The service here matches the amazing flavors. They are very attentive and always make sure we are happy the entire meal. The place looks very clean and well decorated. I would definitely want to come back and try everything on the menu!

Both chickens were cut nicely and I liked that the fried chicken was not overly breaded to maintain the balance. The rice tasted as expected with the slight hits of umami. The dipping sauce was nice and I left no leftovers. The broth was extremely bland and felt watered down and had a strange taste to it.
