HUGE battered mushrooms!!
Steve B.

What can I say!? This place is amazing. The portion sizes are insane! The prices are great! I had the battered mushrooms which were a meal all by themselves! We also had the mozzarella sticks. The marinara is to die for. The meal comes with soup AND salad!! The homemade bread and the Johnny cakes were very good. Make sure you are hungry when you go here. We were almost full when our mains came. I had pork chops "Tom style". My wife had the chicken tenders that style as well. You can see from the photos that you will not leave hungry!

Chicken Strips Dinner

This is a good place to get a good old fashioned home cooked meal with ample portions. Even though we went to eat on Friday during peak time, service was pretty fast and the friendly waitress took our orders accurately. The dinning room gave a very casual, come as you are, grandma's house vibe, from the retro furniture to the bticks and dark wood all around.

I got "Tom Style" fish and chips. Excellent. I wanted baked potato but the waitress said they were coming out slow tonight. He got walleye. The breading was heavy and a little greasy but the fish was excellent. Soup, salad, bread, veggie, and entrees. Perfect service too. You can't go wrong at Grandma's!!

Combination breakfast. One of the best breakfasts in Flint.

I had the combination breakfast. Came out hot and fresh. Good portion size to. My server was friendly and attentive. The ambience is casual. The bathroom was clean. My first time but definitely not my last. Highly recommend.

No lemon, but they do have squeezy

Great food always polite and fast service. The country fried steak is my favorite, and the shrimp dinner is really good too.

All servings are ample and their chicken noodle soup is great. It's not the greatest neighborhood but worth the trip.

We were here on a Thursday night. The restaurant was between 1/2 and 3/4 full when we were there,…read morebut there was not a wait. We ordered around 8:15 PM, a Cuban Crush and a Margherita Pizza, and got our food around 8:55 PM. Between the time we ordered and when we got our food, we did not see our server, Erica G. When we saw her 10 minutes after that, we let her know that some of our food came out cold. Her solution was to reheat the cold food or remake it. After being there around an hour, we really did not feel like staying, so we asked for neither. She sent her manager to talk to us. We did not catch his name, but he was wearing a University of Miami polo shirt. He offered the same solutions. When asked why we didn't have food for 45 minutes, he said a pizza can take up to 15 minutes to make and they were very busy. When I asked what he meant, the restaurant was not full, he asked if I wanted my food or not. I told him no, that I didn't really care for cold food and I was not sure if it was safe to eat. When I asked him that why we had not seen a server from the time we ordered until then, he said "What? Because your drink was empty or something?" At that point, I did not really want to argue over cold food and a waste of time, so we paid for our food and left. It was pretty disappointing to wait 40-45 minutes for cold food. It felt like our server went on break and no one covered for her, or noticed that some tables were going without service. I hope this is not what we should expect from Hamlin Pub. Hard to say if we will return. Picture of Margherita Pizza for posterity.

Not one to give 3 stars... but, wasn't great. Now the staff- wonderful. Friendly, checked on us…read more But it was shift change, and we could feel the rush. I get it- past server, understandable. But when my side salad doesn't come out (when server asked if I wanted it first) and my friend's burger came without onions.. or pickles (she requested both) and cold fries... when it's a slow Monday, or lax nature tends to wane a bit. This was my first time, so willing to give it another shot but.. sadly, not too impressed.
