You know, you could be content providing a quality office park with Class A buildings and attractive landscaping. You could even be proud of placing a good hotel and convenient varied-pricing dining options within walking distance. Or you could be Granite and add a way-cool boardwalk with great dining options and amenities that scream come here, stay a while, enjoy the day and spend your money. Yes, yes, yes, yes and thank you. I love the Boardwalk and I love this part of Plano.

Absolutely love this park - it has all things and everything you need for the perfect day. I've been here a few times over the last few years. We decided on Easter brunch in the area and got great parking. The day we were there they even had a few vendors outside and a DJ playing some music. I am not sure if the local outdoor vendors is an all the time thing but I really want to come back on a day when I'm in the mood to do some shopping. The boardwalk is perfect to take photos, or just come out here and relax while sitting on of their colorful lazy chairs. All of the restaurants in the area have outdoor patios so you can dine while doing lots of people watching. Park in the parking garage since it is free. Walk around and just enjoy the great outdoors! You could likely bike or run in the area as well since where is lots of space to move around. I love how easily accessible this area is to the major highways so I'll be back and soon and bring buddies.

We love going to Granite Park now that they've added so many great restaurants. It's a great place to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. There are plenty of chairs by the water, if you're just walking and not dining, too.

The whole ambiance was amazing. Beautiful lighting, soft music and very clean atmosphere. We will be back!

The Boardwalk at Granite Park is a hidden gem nestled in a secluded area and it's going to get popular fast. In a city as busy as Plano, this concept was needed. The Boardwalk connects the office buildings to retail, hotel and dining. Seems like local businesses will bring in the lunch crowd and the weekends will bring in families. The Boardwalk was relaxing especially sitting along the pond. We were not ready to leave this peaceful hangout. I personally look forward to this location offering special events suitable towards the theme, maybe some live music, especially around Christmas. This will quickly become another new exciting dining destination in Plano. Looks like a few restaurants have been open for a while like Chip's and a few will be opening soon like Union Bear. We tripped across one of the newer restaurants recently opened, Hook Line. We loved everything about this place! Hook Line is located within The Boardwalk. Plenty of parking, spacious patio area (my favorite place to sit if the weather's nice), and their indoor seating also opens up to outside. We look forward to coming back and trying more restaurants..

Adorable area in Plano filled with some of the best food you will ever have. The lights are on until midnight every night and there is a fire pit that is always lit. I went during the weekday and it wasn't crowded but I can imagine it getting crowded over the weekends. There is parking as well. It is walking distance from the Hilton.

Always amazing service and food, plus you'll be happy to know they replaced all their booths within the last 6 months to a year, so seating is cozy as well. This is hands down the friendliest and most accommodating diner in the area. The employees seem genuinely happy to serve you in a friendly (but non-fake) atmosphere. If you haven't been, you must try it. Order whatever modifications you may like to any menu item, or just make a meal up in your head and I guarantee they will delight you with the result. My personal favorites are the chicken fried steak, with hash browns, 2 scrambled eggs, and 2 biscuits; as well as the double cheeseburger with fries. The delicious food, wonderful staff and personalities make this place a rarity in North Texas, especially Plano. Almost never a wait, but if so only a short one. They're open 7a - 2:30p but we've never felt rushed to finish lunch. I highly recommend giving Eddie's Diner a try!

I paid almost $5 for it -- the same amount of fresh squeezed at other places like Starwood or Pancake House. I would not get the orange juice again here. I got the Sundae Waffles and I overall enjoyed them. They're a sugar overload, but that's practically implied. My gripe was that the vanilla ice cream tasted odd and I actually pushed it aside. It didn't taste like vanilla at all. Bf got the Country Omelette and he enjoyed it. I had a taste and can vouch that the sausage gravy was very good and he got a very large amount for his buck. Overall, I think I would return, keeping in mind the quality of a few of the things we tried today.

Ohhh buddy, let me tell ya--this place is an absolute beauty, eh!…read more So I popped into the Maple Leaf Diner down in Dallas, and I gotta say, it felt like I'd been teleported straight to the Great White North... just with a bit more Texas sunshine, eh? First up, the pirogies--holy moly, these little pockets of joy were just unreal. Perfectly soft, stuffed to the brim, and fried up just right. I'm pretty sure if my tasted these, she'd give a polite nod and say, "Not bad, eh?" Then came the pot roast poutine, and let me tell ya--this isn't just food, it's a life experience. You've got those crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds (as they should be, eh!), and gravy so rich it could probably pay rent in Toronto. And then--BAM--tender pot roast on top. I nearly stood up and sang "O Canada," no joke. Now the Canadian Eggs Benedict? Ohhh, beauty. The peameal bacon was thick, juicy, and cooked just right, sittin' pretty under those poached eggs with hollandaise sauce that was smoother than a fresh sheet of ice. Absolute perfection, eh. And don't even get me started on the everyday breakfast. Classic, hearty, and no funny business--just how we like it. Eggs done right, toast that actually tastes like toast (imagine that!), and portions big enough to fuel ya through a full day of shovelin' snow... or, you know, strolling around Dallas. All in all, Maple Leaf Diner absolutely crushed it. Let me tell ya, the service was so fast and smooth, I thought I was dreaming eh. Great food, friendly vibes, and enough Canadian charm to make ya wanna say "sorry" when someone else bumps into you. 10/10, would recommend--now pass the syrup, eh?

I always get a little envious of how every suburb of Dallas seems to have such a cool town square,…read moreand Plano is no different. Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

The baristas are all super friendly and were happy to answer all my questions. It's also super cozy with dim lighting, and the music isn't super overpowering or loud. There's mostly comfy couches but also a few tables and high top seating. Just a little chilly, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. I was able to comfortably complete some work on my laptop, with working wifi. There were also people here socializing in the morning. They no longer serve breakfast tacos, so I opted for a bacon cheddar scone at one visit and a lemon blueberry scone on another. They were both delicious! The baristas told me that their chai leans toward the sweeter side versus the spicier side, so I opted for an iced sugar-free vanilla latte, which was not overly sweet. I also tried the beez neez (latte with honey and cinammon) another time and enjoyed it! They offer 2% milk, which I don't always find at coffee shops. Since it's in downtown Plano, there's street parking, which wasn't difficult for me since I came at 8 AM. I believe there are parking garages located nearby. Overall, I've greatly enjoyed 1418 Coffee and will most definitely be visiting more throughout this month while I'm working in the area!
