First time eating here and F**K it was good! I had the Italian steak sub which is essentially a philly but with hot peppers and some sort of sauce and my boyfriend had the steak and cheese sub. Both subs were amazing! The quality of the meat was just to perfection, and both sandwiches were rich in flavor. The location is a little crappy and the inside isn't fancy but it is a great "hole in the wall" sandwich place. Highly recommend everyone try at least once. read more

I've ate at this place a few times. Guy who is usually on the front counter is very nice, I appreciate that. Food is good. Wings sold here are the traditional buffalo flavor that get gradually spicier, but no other types of flavors. The subs are good, and plenty to choose from. Pricing could be better, can be a bit on the pricier side for what you get. Wait times can be ridiculous. Phone ordered 2 subs, fries, and 10 wings. Was quoted 35 minutes which is fine, that's why I phone ordered. Showed up after 30 minutes, place was pretty busy but not packed. Waited in line 10 minutes while the front counter gentleman helped 2 more groups and served food to others who have been helped. Got to the front counter and he asked the cooks to get my to go order ready, which took another 10 minutes. Overall about 50-55 minutes from placing the order over the phone to actually having the food in my hands. Smallish restaurant. Only one projection TV which isn't great quality but big enough. Overall decent place to try if you're in the mood for subs/ wings. read more

So coming from Pennsylvania, I'm used to dive bar chicken wings. I moved to Vancouver wa and desperately tried to find what I never imagined I'd miss. Those crispy, hot, sexy wings. I spent 2 years ordering wings from every place I had them until I realized it's an art most cannot care to imitate. I moved to Roseville a few months ago and decide to try again to find a good wing. I walked 4 miles during the first day of closed shops due to covid19. I called ahead to put my order in and decided when I picked them up, I'm gonna have to eat them right outside on the curb. Man we're they great. Nice crispy. The hottest sauce adding to the heat of the California sun. I inhaled the entire order in about 3 minutes and started my journey home on the train tracks bound with heat and excitement because I finally found great wings on the west coast. The staff was nice enough, however, this restaurant was dirty! The booths look like they haven't been cleaned since they were purchased in 1974. The food was subpar to put it nicely. We ordered meatball sandwiches and when they were brought to us, the meatballs were cut into small pieces, there was very little sauce, the cheese was cold, and there was more bread than meat, sauce and cheese combined making it dry. I don't know the history--or if this was one of Sam Granite's originals, but it is so far away from the man we should intervene as to not tarnish the name of a local legend. Additionally, I don't like to give bad reviews on places I only eat at once. If I've had to write up on a restaurant in the past and had a bad experience with preparation, or food temp, or something not systemic, I'll go again and give myself a decent frame of reference. Here, however, it was product, ingredients and options. Sadly, if you wear the Granite name in Sacramento, you are held to a high standard. Even by low standards, this was a bad sandwich. Pretty sure they thought they were going to get away with super-cheap Velveeta knock-off on my steak combo. No garlic in the store (that's a dead giveaway right there). The fries were no good, crinkle-cut cheapies. Danielle had a polish. How they messed that up too, I don't know. But she gave it a thumbs down. This is a prime example of what happens when you save a quarter on ingredients, and lose thousands of dollars on unhappy diners. I near-ignore ambiance when it comes to sandwiches. You could dazzle me out of a sidewalk cart and get five-stars. The one star is for the cleanliness. You can eat your bad sandwich on a really clean table. read more

The wait was a little longer than I would expect, considering we were the only people in the place, but it didn't take too long to get to us. My sub was all bread. Very disappointed!! The bathroom was really dirty and the service was blah.

The sauces are great. But at 6 pm on a Monday, the chicken strips were dry, as if they'd been in a warmer forever. The taste wasn't bad, though. I imagine they would be quite tasty if fresh. The fries were pretty good and relatively fresh. Id like to try a sandwich before I make a final decision...perhaps check them out on the weekend. read more

I was hungry and decided to try it.. the sub bleh.. the bread was dry I felt like it was on their shelf for the last 2 weeks.. they cut the bread half way through so only half of the sandwich had any meat..
