It had been a while since I'd been to Granville. I don't remember loving it the last time, but I recently went back for a quick dinner and the drinks, food, and service were all great. They have a really fun cocktail menu with plenty of options for different tastes and preferences. For dinner, we had the Thai Ginger with mango, soba noodles, slaw, avocado, peanuts, candied ginger, tomato, and Thai sesame dressing, and the Angel Hair with artichoke, basil, fennel, tomato, garlic, parmesan, and white wine clam sauce. Both were delicious. Our server was attentive and funny and checked on us regularly without being annoyingly attentive, which is always the perfect balance. It was a little loud, but we were there right in the middle of the dinner rush, so that was to be expected. Really good experience all around. I definitely won't wait so long before going back again.

Came here for Dine L.A. Jazz, again, provided excellent and attentive service. Our starters were squash soup and grilled mushrooms. Both were really good. The mushrooms especially, as I had requested, were not overcooked, and they weren't. They were great. Sam had the grilled salmon on mashed potatoes with a corn topping. The salmon was a bit overcooked, which was unfortunate. That was the only negative item throughout the meal. My double pork chop, which I had requested not to overcook, came out absolutely perfect, juicy and tender. Mashed potatoes, as always, are good, and the sauteed mushrooms were just delicious. For dessert, we ordered a budino pudding and olive oil cake. Both were really good. The budino pudding was outstanding. I really want to give this place only four and a half stars because the salmon was overcooked.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, big portions of delicious food. Kind of all you really need to know. We ordered mostly breakfast dishes and they were all great. I wish the eggs in my shakshuka were cooked with a more runny yolk, so I could dip my bread in it. I also wish it came with something else to kind of cleanse your palette like olives, but other than that, it was great.

Starting at the beginning, welcomed by 2 young ladies at the front with no reservation. After inquiring which would be better to be able to have a conversation with my guest, they indicated the outdoor patio would be better. Kudos to them since the indoor got real busy and a bit noisy. Next greeted by Mariah with a smile, she ended up providing outstanding service all evening. No pressure from her to be rushed out. Onto food, starting with the Grilled Mushrooms. A delicious appetizer consisting of mushrooms in an organic blue oyster & king trumpet prosecco vinegar with lemon butter-and garlic oil. For the mains, Caesar Salad with jumbo shrimp and homemade croutons. Angel Hair pasta with white clam sauce enhanced by Jumbo Shrimp. All in all a wonderful restaurant experience all around. A definite recommend and will go back.

My daughter suggested that we eat here as she's enjoyed their food. I do have to say that everything that we had was very good. Service was excellent but I will usually save a five star when I have a dish meal that is exceptional. I feel the best thing we had was their Mac and cheese with chicken. Their ice cream trio was also a nice way to end our meal.

Kayla was a great server and the food and vibes are always on point and consistent. I think I ordered one of the new menu items; double chicken breast over bok choy and sautéed mushrooms, it was delicious.

The four of us went on a Saturday afternoon. We found metered parking on the street and had a short walk in. It wasn't a long wait but the hostess gave us a heads up that reservations are best on weekends. Inside is pretty inviting and the decor is elegant. We started with the sourdough bread and butter, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms. Hands down the bread was a table favorite and to my surprise the kids killed the mushrooms. For dinner the kids had the Mac and cheese and bow tie pasta. We had the prime skirt steak and jackfruit taco trio. The steak was perfect, the kids tried to steal my entire meal. The jackfruit tacos were a little mushy, next time we'll order them well done. The only hiccup was the service, it slowed down noticeably and our server seemed a bit overwhelmed. The table next to us was comped their entire meal for the wait time. Lesson learned, we'll make a reservation next time. The food was so good it made up for the service so we'll be back.

Came here for lunch with a friend with a reservation, we were seated right away and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant feels a little modern rustic with plants and modern decor. It's very bright, tall ceilings, large atmosphere. I had a hot English breakfast tea to drink, they brought out loose leaf tea in a beautiful steeping pot that allows for multiple refills. For lunch I had the Ahi Poke Bowl and sweet potato fries. The dipping sauces (blue cheese sauce specifically) with the fries are delicious. The poke bowl has a slaw and spicy noodles with these crunchy coconut crisps on the top that are such a great flavor add to this dish. It's a fresh new take on a poke bowl and I really enjoyed it! Highly recommend this place!

I love everything about Granville!!! Each location has proven to be equally fabulous on all levels. Service is literally always outstanding. Our server today was Davis C. 10/10 for service! Thank you Davis for recommending the Pasta Alla Vodka!!! We ordered the Pasta Alla Vodka and a Poke bowl with no red onions. Both dishes were fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Lovely interior and they also have an outdoor patio which is pet friendly. I love that they take lunch reservations too!

Popped in during Dine LA and took advantage of their specially curated menu. Lovely interior and airy atmosphere. Appetizers and main courses are on the larger size, so sharing is certainly an option. The housemate lemonade was bright and flavorful. Mac and cheese was solid. The grilled mushrooms were fantastic - a nice variety and perfectly grilled. The lemon wedge elevated the dish nicely. The Granville salad was average; The grilled salmon we added was a large piece and well grilled. The poke bowl was delicious with a terrific variety of components making each bite flavorful. We didn't care for the cherry ice cream and the chocolate cake was okay; the whipped topping elevated it.

Tres tacos (chicken, steak, shrimp) and Butter Lettuce cups. Both Yum and great appetizers to share

Located in Sherman Oaks... so street parking can be a challenge. We lucked out with a short walk parking in the residential area. We had reservations so getting in for lunch was no problem. The restaurant is fairly busy for a weekday, so I'd recommend making reservations. We chose to dine indoors, which nice and bright. We ordered butter lettuce cups and tres tacos for appetizers. Both very tasty. For our lunch, I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich and my SIL ordered the trout plate. All in all food and service was excellent.

It's become so much more than just one of our favorite bars and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The biggest reason, though, is the people. Hospitality is something that's hard to fake, and the team here does it effortlessly. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted like an old friend. Over the years, the staff has created an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely personal, and that's something that's become increasingly rare. Matt, Sabrina, and the entire team are all such gems. Scott also deserves special recognition. He's a huge part of what makes The Rendition Room such a special place. Whether he's introducing a new cocktail, sharing the story behind a spirit, or simply taking the time to check in, his passion and care for every guest shine through. It's people like Scott who transform a great bar into a place you truly feel connected to. On our most recent visit, we tried the new Decade & Debauchery cocktail, celebrating The Rendition Room's 10 year anniversary, and it's phenomenal. Balanced, and beautifully executed. In a city full of great bars, they have managed to create something much harder to find, a sense of community. After all these years, it still feels just as special as the first time we walked in.

Although it didn't really necessarily show up as "the best food in LA area" but all the reviews were so good so I became curious to try. Mainly the reviews also raved about the vibes, services, and live music. Well, they were not wrong! It was fairly easy to make a reservation through Opentable, and I made a reservation for two people for my birthday dinner on Sunday night. I put on the notes that it's my bday so it'll be nice to get a nice table near the stage. I didn't have a high expectation, cos I'd never been to the place and I didn't make a call or anything. But wow, they definitely gave us a great table at the very front! As many reviewers had mentioned, the acoustic of the restaurant is really great. You can barely hear other people's conversations. There's a live jazz band playing, so you can really enjoy that. Although it made it slightly hard to hear what other nearby people say to you either, haha. Our server Dawson was a really great one! Very nice, very informative and just has a great vibe that made you feel comfortable to converse with him. We also asked if he could take a picture of us and he went above and beyond with taking our pictures haha. He took the table lamp as our additional "lighting". Such a great service! Dawson also made a few suggestions on food. We ordered the milk bun (so great!), the tiger prawns tostada (omg, my favorite of the night!), braised lamb pasta, pork belly risotto, and roasted broccolini. Everything was really good and really filled us up! We also got the "smokin old fashioned" and "Wake up and repeat" cocktails. It was plenty of food for us so we asked for a check. Dawson asked if we wanted a dessert but we were already full. He asked if it's ok to give us a lil treat for my bday. It was a really nice dessert :). Oh I forgot to mention that they also put a small bday card on the table for me. The prices of food and drinks are on the higher sides, but I feel like it's worth it due to the live music and the vibe. It easily covers the entertainment part. We definitely will go back and recommend this place for anyone who's looking into a nice date night or to celebrate something special. I was informed that Friday has more of a "party vibe" here, although it's still a jazz performance. Sunday feels more laid back :) Overall I'm really pleased by this place. I used to think that I don't care that much about excellent service as long as the food is great, but I was wrong. The excellent hospitality just made the night even better than expected. Thank you for making my bday dinner memorable.

Definitely swanky but down to earth vibes. I got the rasberry beret cocktail and it was different but fabulous. Not sure how else to describe it. It was refreshing. We got the tiger prawns and it was presented as a toasta, which had a great flavor and texture. The apple salad was also refreshing and a good portion to share between 2 people. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and my favorite after the tiger prawns was the Dungeness crab pasta. It had uni on top! The uni elevated the dish, and honestly there were a good amount of crab meat in the dish. Overall well balanced and creamy. The 2 of us left full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place for a date night. There's also plenty of street parking when we went but there is also valet for $15.
