I took a gf/neighbor for lunch today. Nice ambience! It's my 1st time to visit this place. I believe there was only 1 waitress who was very sweet and welcoming. But when she handed me the menu, I, right away, was so surprised and disappointed that it came in photocopied papers even the list of wine and drinks they had. Being a previous hotelier, that was highly unexpected compared to the beautiful interior decor I admired. Another reason I chose this restaurant because I wanted to try their lamb chops which I read on the menu online. That made me feel bad and because I wanted to have some meat, we both asked for New York steak which was so big (but honestly, tasteless). Both my gf and I just had a few bites and we asked them for "a box to go". Our bill came to $128+something which shocked me because we only had water for drinks (no alcohol at all). Why isn't this place packed? Ok. It's a Tuesday. I concede that. But the food here is so INCREDIBLE that I can't believe we didn't have to wait for a table. I had the seafood diavolo pasta and my husband had the chicken parm. Yum! We also shared a fruit and cheese plate and Caesar salad. Everything was super fresh, crisp, beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and seasoned perfectly. The seafood was on point. Our server, Rudy, was a gem and helped me pick out a great bottle of wine to take home. Looking forward to patio weather. We'll be back. We were drawn to this restaurant by the mussels in marinara on the menu, and absolutely our East Coast hearts were not disappointed. Though, and this is an incredibly difficult challenge, the bread was not as amazing as what we're used​ to in NJ. Our server, John, was lovely, offering guidance and suggestions from wine to pasta. We chose linguini and (white) clam sauce, and it was AMAZING! So good I could have eaten two servings. There were many inviting and intriguing other entrees, but I needed something light, so I chose a Caesar salad with what I thought had been billed as "grilled" shrimp, but which John said was blackened shrimp. Good, but super spicy, so, be prepared. The Caesar dressing was delicious, though. We're waiting to be less full before we try our take-away tiramusu, but I have no doubt it will, be awesome. This is a great spot if you want a quiet spot with great food that adheres to social distancing practices. I love this place, and happy hour here is fantastic as you can split multiple dishes on their happy hour menu and chill out with some drinks. I usually split a few appetizers and a pizza, and I still end up with left overs. The BBQ chicken pizza is savory sweet with a good crust to boot. Wash it down with some sangria and good company, and you will probably end up returning here like I did. Fun Facts: -You can bring your own large container and buy a jug's worth of sangria to go. -Order ahead and pick up from their pick up parking spot. I went to Grapevine tonight as a single diner as I have been there approximately 5 times before. I ordered wine, water and my foodI. It was really busy, only 2 waiters for entire restaurant, a really attentive busboy and I noticed owner running around as well. Took my order, served wine and water somewhat promptly. I was sitting there watching the cooking show they always have on and I noticed that all tops greater than one got their bread right away. I do believe I waited 15 min after ordering to get mine (possibly a single person there will not order enough to get bread). I ate almost all of my bread, waiting, waiting on my appetizer. I finally said something to the waiter after noticing people (bigger party than one) were getting their salads, wine, and appetizers. On second glass of wine, very long time, asked where my appetizer was. Was told that it takes a long time. Really? Approximately 35 minutes in at this point. My problem is: just say you forgot to put my order in or that it is really busy and kitchen is backed up. Do not lie to me. Owner removed appetizer from bill Stuffed shrimp with crab stuffing: over cooked and pulverized with crab topping floating around in butter. My warning, if you are a lone diner do not go there for dinner. You are not important!!! People are ordering bottles of wine that you cannot possibly drink on your own as you have to drive home. Go if you are in a group and are ordering bottles of wine. Quite frankly that is where the money is for them. Single diners beware and stay away. BTW I am a 30 to 40 percent tipper, their loss. Also do not order delivery from this restaurant as I have had a wrong order times 2. Not delivery persons fault. read more

I absolutely love linguine and clams I've had very very good linguine and clams at another restaurant in the Las Vegas area which is all I ever order there however after having the linguine and clams here they are by far the best I've ever had the flavor of the sauce is perfection there's such an abundance of clams it's well worth the price! I think this is definitely a hidden gem--it's such a great romantic spot or a great place to take the family. They have a vast selection of wine and robust menu. We had the chicken Gorgonzola and the manicotti with Alfredo. Both meals were delicious and great portions! We scheduled a late dinner (7:45) after having a large, late brunch earlier in the day. Even though it was 102 degrees outside, we decided to eat outdoors on the patio. Music over the speakers fluctuated between Sinatra, Dean Martin and other legendary artists to current The Weekend, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. Rudy, our server, and all of the wait staff were very attentive, as we were only one of a handful of customers so late in the evening. The caprese salad was refreshing and delicious as an appetizer. But consider me a convert, after ordering take-out from here one late weekday evening. Beyond an aroma that will take your breath away, the contrast of the explosion of salt and texture from the chicken is the perfect pairing with the bright, tomato-and-pea-accented Alfredo sauce that they serve it over. Paired with a side salad, it was a veritable 2-3 meals in its portion size, not including the bread -- which was the true disappointment of the meal. It's possible I came here on an off day -- and in a follow-up take-out order, I entirely forgot to eat the bread before I was stuffed -- but this was some truly bad Italian restaurant bread. This dog friendly restaurant is great if you are traveling with your pet. The patio is completely covered so there is shade and plenty of spots for them to lay down. They even bring out a little water dish for Bob. Although the service was good, their food wasn't. Nothing tastes like it was homemade or doctored up with store bought items. Salad: the house salad that came with my entree looked a little sad because it wasn't bright green. Instead it was the iceberg lettuce that you can get in a bag at the grocery store for $0.99. They sprinkled some sort of vinaigrette but I didn't really like it. There's also chopped apples in it, but ehh. Bruschetta: I love that they add a lot of tomatoes and basil, but the goat cheese kinda threw me off. Shrimp cocktail: the shrimp were pretty big and juicy. It was the cocktail sauce that I wish was better because if tasted store bought. They also added more of that ugly light green lettuce in the glass. I should've asked for horseradish, but I was half way done already. Seared ahi tuna: I wish I read through the menu lord carefully, but I didn't remember seeing that the tuna would be crusted with sesame seeds. I'm not a fan of sesame seeds, but I ate them anyways because it took a while to serve us. I tried to cut around the sesame seeds, but I was wasting a lot of fish. . read more

I am so bummed to report this was underwhelming and expensive. We did get a nice little bottle of Duckhorn but everything besides the complimentary bread was simply just underwhelming. We had the caprese which just had no flavor due to lack of balsamic. We also ordered the penne vodka which instead of a pink vodka sauce was more of just a lighter tomato sauce. My friend had the fettuccine Alfredo and the same thing her sauce was just not flavorful. We decided to do the fondue for dessert and the chocolate was luke warm and again.... Just really underwhelming. That's pretty much the only word I could use for our meal. The ambience was great and so was the service tho. One of the BEST dining out experiences I've ever had! Chelsea, our server, was awesome in how she attended to our subtle cues and magically appeared at just the right moment : ) Chelsea suggested a Pino Noir which was perfect pairing with our mushroom ravioli which was to DIE for! It has been a very long time since my wife and I have been here, which was a perfect excuse to take a friend to dinner for her birthday and revisit a old favorite. Please note that face coverings, temp checks and other current COVID regulations are being enacted so please be kind to the staff. Straight up the food was amazing, our friend can be a picky eater and she was very happy with her food. My favorite go to is the chicken chopped salad as a entree as the portions are quite large. The menu has a great variety of dishes for everyone's taste buds and even have some of the best French fries I've had, so the kids are covered. I also really enjoy their pasta and chicken dishes, just full of great flavor. The ambiance reminds me of our trips overseas eating at local cafes with plenty of wine offerings. The restaurant staff even brought our friend a Sundae with a candle which was an amazing touch. All in all, we have missed this restaurant and look forward to our next visit. If you are not white American, you should probably reconsider supporting a business such as this. We were not greeted or acknowledged by the managers walking the dining room unlike the other white patrons there. A man, who I assume was one of the managers, spoke down to a Latin man working there in front of the guests. This really upset me as almost all of the wait staff and kitchen staff is Hispanic. The chicken was dry and the table bread was dry and hard. The restaurant was pretty empty when we ate there. It's such a shame that the managers are not very professional or inclusive based on me and my family's experience. I will NOT be coming back. If you want amazing authentic Italian food with great service and ambiance, I suggest you try Roma Deli Restaurant (any of their 2 location). I used to frequent this establishment when it was the original Grape Street Cafe. Some things never change, not only does it look pretty much identical, it also has some amazing Italian food. It doesn't disappoint. The baked Brie is a must. Not only is the presentation amazing but it also is a very good dish. We shared a few apps and all of us ordered something different. Grape Vine Cafe (nee Grape Street). Though the restaurant has changed names slightly (and owners, too), this place is still recognizably a nice choice for a casual yet sophisticated meal. I've had dinner here a couple times this year and both times have left me happy and sated. Big wine menu, and for good reason, too. They also sell wine here in a retail setting. (It's a little like Marche in that regard). We shared a Kim Crawford Chard, and even though I generally prefer to stay with Cali or other West Coast wineries, it's tough to argue with Kim. Caesar Salad: Do it. Crisp and just garlicky enough. And, feel free to speak up if you'd like it a little less-dressed. A few of us at our table had the Caesar, and the kitchen had no trouble pulling back for one who requested it. Also, speak up if you like anchovies. I do, and often ask for them when I do a Caesar -- but most places can't accommodate. Grape Vine can and does. To the entrees: I had a special: Bone In Ribeye. Nicely prepared with a peppercorn sauce. 22oz, so it was perfect to save some for the next day. I can't say it was the most amazing steak ever, but it was very good, and at a very decent price point for the cut. Someone else at our table had the salmon (which they frequently enjoy here). Another had the veal parm - another winner. Still another tried manicotti for the first time ever - and they really enjoyed it as well. Portions are big, so be prepared for some possible leftovers. If you can save room for dessert, get what we always get: The Chocolate Fondue. Depending on the size of our party, we might get two -- or bulk up on the cake part if we're just getting one. It's tasty and just sweet enough. A fine way to finish. Grape Vine is in a Shopping Mall but don't let that throw you. Once inside, you'll hear good music (perhaps Frank), and your eyes will settle into the dark, attractive venue.
