All burgers are the same right? Hmm, gotcha thinking didn't I? There is a difference! Both in taste and fat content. No growth hormones or antibiotics in the feed either. So a regular burger with fries and a bacon cheese burger (there goes the low fat) with sweet potato fries. While the regular burger was good it was dry and overcooked. The chipotle mayo, veggies & mustard helped. The bacon cheeseburger was tasty and thanks to the fat moist. Be warned other than water & ice tea there are no other lo-cal options to drink. Lived up to the hype. Now we know why they were awarded best burgerd *and* best fries in this year's Albuquerque the Magazine. The regular and sweet potato fries were both great, and the bacon cheddar burger was delightful. I was impressed with the addins available, as well as the options for turning burgers into salads or bowls. There also seemed to be a good selection of interesting sodas, though we both had unsweetened tea. In all, my only gripe was that the bottom bun of the burger was slightly soggy, and cool. Seemed like they might pre-make all the bottom buns with the chipotle mayo on them to speed up assembly. The tops were toasted and warm though, so it was a small flaw. In all we were happy and left full and delighted. Will definitely be back! read more

So as I was driving to meet my sister for lunch at Rusty Taco off coors/montano, I noticed a place called Grassburger. So we decided to try that instead. It's a cute place. They have different kinds of burgers from green Chile jack cheese, bacon cheddar, turkey burger etc. they also have burger bowls if you don't want the bun. They have vegan and gluten free buns too. I ordered the green Chile jack burger with sweet potato fries. It was delicious. My sister ordered the bacon cheddar burger. The reason for the 4 stars is its pricey and the burger is kind of small for the $8.50 price. Plus everything extra like green Chile, guac, extra sauce or any extra toppings are 1.00. I also ordered the lemon berry drink which was very good. I would return here eventually but it's not some place I would frequent a lot. read more

Man, fuck Grassburger, seriously! My buddy and I are on a green chile cheeseburger trip, and I was incredibly excited to try out Grassburger and see how it stood up versus the rest of the burgers we had. I picked up the phone and called to place an order to pickup and was greeted with an automated message stating that due to "overwhelming demand/covid/blah blah" that they were accepting orders online only. Ok, fine. I go to their website and place an order for 2 burgers for pickup. Placed the order at 6:38pm and said that it would be ready by 7:08pm. I get my email receipt and my text message with instructions on what to do when I get there. My buddy and I head out and drive out here and arrive at 7:08pm, exactly. I text my name, order number and where I am located to the number. 7:13pm, still sitting there. 7:18pm, still sitting there. 7:23pm, I get out of the car to just go inside to pick up my order. I walk up to the counter, inform them that I had a pickup order for 7:08pm and was here to grab my food. The cashier goes back to the grill cooks and asks for an order for "Timothy". They inform her that the order isn't even on the grill yet, and that it would be ANOTHER 10-15 minutes. Know what? That is some BULLSHIT! I asked for my money back. The cashier went back and got the manager to come give me my refund. She processed my refund and handed me back my money for the order, MINUS the tip I added on! I showed her my cell phone screenshot of the tip amount and she reopened the register to get my additional money. No apology, no offer of a free drink or a bogo coupon or SOMETHING for wasting my god damned time. I wasn't the only one, either. A guy was at the counter bitching about how he ordered over an hour ago, checked in 20 minutes ago, they told him it would be awhile longer, and they still didn't have his food. Their excuse, "There were a lot of online orders ahead of him". The kicker, after we left and are driving down the road, I get a text at 7:29pm letting me know that my order is now ready, lol. How do you make someone prepay for their meal, give them a time to pick up their food, 30 minutes later, then not have it ready for an additional 30 minutes after they arrive? Either overestimate and fix the timeframes, hire some more people, or at least apologize and offer up something for wasting peoples times. That's what I am pissed off about the most. We drove down here specifically out of the way, to try their burgers, and they failed miserably. Super shitty first impression and I would never come back, no matter what. read more

Between the Chedda Burger and the perfectly fried fries, it simply didn't stand a chance (devoured in minutes). They might as well drowned the burger in chipotle mayo sauce because I JUST CANT GET ENOUGH!! I was getting hangry, but Grassburger had a swift wait time! I'm giving 3 stars because even though the food was okay, I was disappointed in the lack of variety on the menu and I thought the prices were high for the quality of food. Also, since the tables are directly next to the kitchen area, we had difficulty having a conversation over the excited conversations of the staff. I may be alone on this but I think a restaurant that's dedicated to a specific menu item, I.e. the burger, should offer more than just your standard bacon or green chile cheeseburger. We've had them thousands of times, they're everywhere. Honestly I could've gone down the street to Blake's, had just as good of a burger and saved quite a few bucks. I had an amazing Swiss Burger with 1/2 fries and 1/2 sweet potato fries. Strawberry shake to top it off. Quality and fresh food. Prices are decent and the staff friendly. Their soda machine was out so our only options were bottled drinks or a shake. Bummer. I wanted a glass of water to accompany the shake and would have to buy a bottle. Whenever you're craving a burger and can't thing of where to go, this is your place! The service is usually quick, even when they're super busy. I got a regular grassburger with sautéed mushrooms, green chile, and guacamole. I also ordered a side of regular fries with green chile ranch and chipotle mayo. The fries seemed like they had been there for a hot minute and were a little old tasting, but I don't really care because I cover everything in the dipping sauces. The burgers are always fresh, juicy, and flavorful. They have dairy free shakes, which is the original reason I came here. When you order online, they make the shakes as you get to the restaurant so they aren't melted. I definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

This was definitely a solid burger!!! We did the 1/2 pound green chile jack burger and swiss mushroom burger with fries to go. Looking forward to returning and eating in, because I was traveling from the other side of town to pick up the to go order and by the time I got home I knew that for as good as the meal was (which I inhaled by the way), it would have been even more enjoyable hot and fresh off the griddle in person. Okay... I have said this elsewhere but have to say it here... GRASSBURGER IS THE BEST BURGER IN TOWN. I have ordered every type of burger they have and love all of them. The quality is consistent which means no matter when I order, it is going to be amazing. Someone should give the chefs/cooks, kitchen staff a raise because they kill it every night. My kids love it too. I order the way they want (usually just pickles) and one burger and one order of fries fills both of them up. Order from here, no matter your side of town, it's worth it. Always delicious. Always made correctly. I ordered the Durango burger and added Swiss cheese. Oh my gosh. Yum!!!!! I asked for sauce on the side. They did not forget! The black bean patty wow. So much flavor. The burgers are always so good. Serrano sauce always get on the side for the mix fries. Yum! I also never order shakes but my wife talked me into trying the dairy free milk shake. I wish I had read the reviews before I tried this place. I had a similar experience as Jereme. It was kind of busy when I arrived so I expected a slight wait. When I finally ordered and paid by CC they flipped a screen and told me Tippings is optional, but that still makes you feel pressured so I tipped for basically ordering fast food. Sat down and then had to wait 40 minutes for cold food! I told them that I wasn't happy to wait as long as I did for cold food. The fries were just awful at $4.00 a bag? I was going home to eat so I just Microwaved our food there. Will not be returning and I suggest trying Numerous other options in Albuquerque. To think I left a tip before my experience is appalling. Grassburger serves up a really good hamburger. You can eat in, take out, or just go next door to the brew pub. This is a good summit symbiotic relationship as Grassburgers doesn't sell alcohol. They do have craft sodas that are good though. It's order at the counter type service so there's not much to say about it or the atmosphere. But the burgers are very good. read more

I ate here while in town on business. It was a Tuesday right around noon, and the place wasn't too busy. Whenever I'm in NM I always try to have at least one green chili cheeseburger, and I was working in the area this place is located so thought I'd give them a shot. The inside was very clean and new looking (they also have an outside patio section you can eat at). I ordered the double (half pound) green chili jack burger, and also a side of French fries. The beef was the star of the meal, as you'd expect with the fact their whole shtick is good quality beef. It was very juicy and flavorful. The burger was very good. The fries were also above average. Crispy and seasoned pretty well. I can't say this was the very best green chili burger meal I've had in NM, but it is very good. We ordered together and I came over here to get a table. It's Tuesday night. We got here around 6. Wanted to go to the Rusty taco but they were closed for maintenance. So we came here again. This is my 3rd time eating at this Grassburger location, but the first time that I have been super disappointed in my burger. My son and I ordered our burgers at the counter for delivery to La Cumbre's west side taproom next door. Our food was delivered quickly, so no complaints there. The problem was, I ordered my burger with no onions. I really don't like raw onions and when I have to take them off of a burger, I can still taste the onion. Now in the case of Grassburger, maybe I wouldn't have still tasted the flavor of raw onion had my burger contained the chipotle sauce inside that the menu says it comes with. I thought maybe I was supposed to ask for it when I saw that my burger was dry, but nope. I checked the menu and the sauce was listed as an ingredient for my burger. I am hoping that this is a one off, but sadly, based on today's visit, my previous 4 star review for the Juan Tabo & Montgomery location has been knocked down to a 3 for the west side location. I will probably be back because we love La Cumbre and Grassburger is convenient. But where I would almost always get Grassburger as my go to to have with my Elevated IPA, I am thinking that I may want to try some of the other nearby restaurants that deliver to La Cumbre. This last time our food sat at front door for 40 minutes because they did not knock or wring bell even though I asked them to in description. Shake melted, food cold and a burger missing. I see this place all the time because I love getting Kung Fu Tea and it happens to be in the same shopping center. I decided to try it as it had good reviews on here and it seemed like a nice bite! It is actually located in a very smart spot as there is a bar that does not sell food right next door, so business is always booming I assum It's a wonderful little place that is very environmentally sustainable which is a nice touch. I ordered two burgers, both meals, and it came out to around $30 so it is not a cheap option. I got a green Chile jack burger, and my brother got the bacon and Gouda burger. They have some different types of sodas. They're not your everyday Coke and Pepsi products, the brand is called Stubborn sodas. They were all pretty good and is a nice twist from the regular sodas that are always at restaurants. There is a lot of seating and there is some patio seating which was very nice if the weather allows and that's where we sat. The burgers were out relatively quick and looked fantastic! First bite is really nice but in my opinion the bun is somewhat disappointing. I think it's just a personal preference but it needed a little more toasting to get a better crunch for it to be acceptable. My burger was cooked to nice medium, only thing I would say is that it lacked a little seasoning. But the burger did have good taste too it. They use leaf lettuce which I prefer over chopped iceberg lettuce. It was a decent burger and the fries were okay. I personally like a little more crunch to them as well.
