We called ahead to make a takeout order and no one answered the phone. We got there and it took 15-20 min for them to make a couple of sandwiches. My BLT toast was way over toasted to the point of being like a hard pretzel and the bacon was also over cooked.

Stopped in after a fishing trip. They close at 2:45/3pm and we arrived around 2. Only a couple pastries left in the pastry case. Lunch specials were yummy, bread was nicely toasted and fries were crispy. Bummed that we couldn't pay to upgrade fries to a cup of soup as a side - we were told that wasn't an option. I got full off my lunch special, hubby wished there was a little more food for the price but wasn't bad. Pro tip: you can order breakfast all day!

We arrived at 2:30 and were told they close at 3:00. We ordered anyway. My husband got a Turkey Cranberry sandwich and I got a Swiss Mushroom Burger. The restaurant is a cute woodland theme, but dark. The food came to the table at 2:50. The burger was good. It came with fries that were very good. The Sandwich didn't seem to have anything to do with Cranberries, and was Turkey and mayo on very good bread. It was good. The waitress was very kind. We left at 3:18.

What a find! This is one of those eatery that it's on my road trip worthy of places to eat. You ask why? First the food! My friend ordered Grilled cheese and tomato soup with fries. I ordered the fish taco. I was craving for it, since been out of San Diego for two weeks, and my fish taco was decent. And my bud's food was good, service was efficient and very friendly. So come on in. They will take care of yeah!

Busy for lunch on a Wednesday.

We were stuck behind a traffic jam and running late to get to our whitewater rafting reservation (I know, first world problems) so my daughter and I were looking for something quick to grab and eat in the car as we drove from Bigfork to West Glacier. We had noticed Grateful Bread when we arrived the previous day and thought it sounded like a great place to pick up some sandwiches to go. They did not disappoint! This cute little cafe is more than just a sandwich spot. While definitely heavy on the baked goods, they also offer tasty-sounding breakfasts as well as beer and wine. I was sad we didn't get to stay and linger over some biscuits & gravy, but rafting awaited. So I ordered a curried chicken wrap and my daughter ordered a chicken caesar wrap. Before ordering, I let the lady at the counter know we were in a bit of a time crunch, and she said our wraps would take about 15 minutes to prepare. They were busy, so the wraps took more like 20 minutes and the staff seemed pretty harried, but eventually we got 'em and bolted out the door. I nibbled on my wrap as I drove, not an easy feat as this baby was stuffed FULL of chicken and a curry salad mix featuring lettuce, grapes, almonds and a delicious curry sauce. I was a little disappointed that the chicken was not mixed in with the salad - a minor point, but it didn't have any of that delicious sauce on it. My daughter enjoyed her caesar wrap, and we were pleased that each wrap came with a small bag of Tim's potato chips (which we enjoyed later for a rafting snack). I was sad we didn't have more time in Bigfork, as I would have loved to go back and check out Grateful Bread's yummy-sounding breakfasts!

The Chicken Mulligatawny soup is the stuff of legend. And the only gluten free bread I ever found that tastes decent. Thumbs up!

The service was excellent, Niko was our server. I enjoyed the caesar salad. Several people ordered the short rib and really liked it. The presentation of the food was good. The filet was really good. I really liked the 1/2 potatoes, it was really yummy. The portion size was good and the prices were as expected. Since we were in a side room, it was a bit quieter and had soft music playing.

I decided to try the Lychee Basil Martini- not too sweet or dry. I recommend this if you like a refreshing cocktail. Then I was torn because I had to try the poke! It just sounded delicious so my friends said they would have some too. 3 of us shared this and my picture was after we all took a little. (Oops) This was so delicious- don't miss eating the seaweed too! It was perfect pairing. I decided on the chicken because of the starter. And my friend said it was so tasty. My friend didn't lie! The spices used were outstanding. I normally don't order chicken in a restaurant but this is a definite thumbs up! Finally for dessert - the huckleberry Oreo mud pie. Pro tip: let it sit & melt for a few minutes because the flavors really come out the longer it sits! Dinner fabulous We didn't make a reservation & got lucky they had a table open. Wait staff was very helpful and nice. Prices - very fair especially for a fine dining restaurant. I hope to return the next time I visit my friends. As my first trip to Montana I loved it and can't wait to return.

When we arrived we were seated fairly quickly and attended too pretty frequently but not overly done. The beer variety was good, they had everything from pilsners, stouts, pale ales, etc. I grabbed a burger and my partner had fish and chips. Both tasty and good sized portions. I would recommend coming here if you happen to be in the area.

Flathead Lake Brewing is another Montana brewery I got to check off my list and I felt accomplished…read more in doing that die to my last Montana trip was all about the breweries. For Flathead I had their Centennial IPA which I really liked a lot. I can get burned out on IPA'S pretty easily as they are everywhere but this summer (summer of 2025) I have had a hankering for IPA'S off and on. The Centennial proves to be a refreshing one for me the few times I have had it and firs the bill quite well for that occasional IPA hankering I've been having. Flavor highlights in this beer are hoppy, malty, floral and sweet (naturally sweet tasting). It's a very well balanced IPA with these features. The beer is also smooth in body. I look forward to returning as Steve and I are bound to pass through the area again but more for the purpose of sightseeing on that trip.
