Came here on 10/9/22 with 4 people and ordered 4 breakfasts, 1 coffee, and 1 orange juice for $70 after tax and tip. Pretty full after, portions are big enough, being full for less than $20/pp in 2022 is an automatic good end result. Free parking in a pretty big nearby lot too. Pro tip: as of very recently, this place now has Yelp waitlist! Check in on this page before driving over to see if you should join, you'll feel like a king cutting the line of chumps who drove over before waiting. This place is more or less just a classic no-frills American diner - eggs, toast, waffles, French toast, etc. Yes, you can make almost everything at home, and yes, it's nice for someone to make it for you. The thing about these places though is that it's really just alright in terms of food - what makes these places special is the homey environment and friendly staff (though actually, the bread used to make the toast is definitely well above average - just the right amount of heartiness to it, would recommend!). Didn't get too much of that experience this time, I felt a little rushed with getting the check and a side order of toast was forgotten after being asked for twice (though to their credit, they did remove $2 from the bill - but like I said the toast is yummy!). I think I'd be back - none of these things are huge deal breakers, with a little bit more service tidying could be a perfect spot! read more

Solid breakfast spot! Lots of menu options and reasonable prices for a lot of locally sourced food. We ate outdoors which was nice with an umbrella. Indoors definitely has less ambiance like another reviewer said. I got Nutella and strawberry French toast (had to sub chocolate for Nutella) and my mom got the classic breakfast. A horrible experience today for brunch/lunch. The waitress and kitchen messed up my meal twice. I am also gluten and dairy free and the second time, after waiting for 15 minutes for a new meal it arrived covered in cheese. I had told the waitress about my dairy allergy and she came back telling me that goat cheese isn't dairy. The salad wasn't credited off our bill and only a $5 discount was applied. Watch out if you have any food allergies and don't expect if anything goes wrong with your meal that the manager will do right by the customer. We eat out a lot and have never experienced such terrible customer service, especially with an allergy and it being their mess up. I will never go to this restaurant again and will be sure to share my experience with my friends and family. read more

I've been here a few times and it is by far my favorite breakfast restaurant to go to. The food was delicious and the portion size is excellent. I ordered the big rig which is their large breakfast with pancakes, bacon, sausage,2 slices oftoast and potato's. The potatoes have delicious seasoning and typically at other restaurants aren't my go to breakfast but here they are delicious every time. Eggs are cooked to order and I highly recommend the specialty pancakes options you can add. Wait staff has always been friendly and kind and service is prompt. The carpet doesn't match the drapes. The outside appeared to be a cool urban/ suburban upgraded diner experience. The kind we hipsters flock to. walking through the door we expected old school charm, like worn floors and a counter by the kitchen . Instead we got ihop style interiors, and better than average mediocre food. The worst part is that the menu read "delish" and we were excited. But the "meh" at best in reality. My order was about ten dollars and I handed a twenty... She left and I waited and waited... I ended up saying to another person behind their register that I was waiting for my change. I ordered the cannoli French toast Awful... I think cook forgot to dip bread in egg? French toast looked just grilled toast ... absolutely no egg . Then a pile of stale crushed up cannoli shells on top... best French toast to me is bread soaked well in egg... wasted my money 13.54 plus 2.46 tip.... Should have ordered omelet instead... The skin-on home fries in particular are well-seasoned (garlic salt, maybe?) and nicely fried, and the breakfast sandwich was excellent (could use a smidge less fig jam and it would have been perfectly balanced). The worst thing about this place is having to pick only one of the many delicious-looking options on the menu! I had the French toast with fig and brie, which was absolutely amazing, and something I haven't seen in any other breakfast places. Everything that our group ordered was wonderful! This is also a family friendly spot so a great place to meet up with our friend and her young daughter. We went to the Grateful Dedham Diner for Sunday brunch. It had to be one of the worst dining experiences I ever had! The service was very disorganized and, generally, non-existent. We'd ask for things like silverware or ketchup, and wouldn't see our "waitress" again for 10+ minutes. The staff was too busy chatting at the hostess station instead of checking on their tables. We had to go to the kitchen door in order to get anyone's attention. We also had to use plastic utensils as there was no silverware available. Do adults work here? The food was sub-par. The avocado toast tasted stale, and the spread had no flavor. There's a lot of room for improvement! It's a real shame. One star is too high of a rating. read more

It's a step up from the usual one-star breakfast options in the area. The server was extremely nice, but not extremely attentive. I had to ask for missing items, and refills on coffee and water. The quality of ingredients actually seems good, but the execution is really bad. Everything except the coffee, butter, hash and eggs was served cold; the bacon was cold, the toast was cold, the potatoes were cold, the pancakes were cold. I sent the poached eggs back because they had been poached with such an excess of vinegar that they were wrinkled like prunes. The over medium eggs were undercooked. The pancakes were heavy and had an excess of baking powder; you can taste it. The bathroom is unclean: there is dust on the top of the tiles and grossness on the floor. Will I go back? I could eat breakfast any time of the day and this menu does not disappoint. There's a wide array of pancakes, French toast, waffles and more. For those who aren't breakfast types there's plenty of other selections. When we were masked and eating outside, my friend Joan and I ate in the hot sun, the wind of fall and for as long as the diner was open. The servers are very friendly and if the food happens not to be the right temperature it is taken back with with no hassle. The coffee is great and plentiful. There's a tea drinkers' selection too. On weekends, though, there is often a line around conventional brunch time. And it's a shame they close at 3 (at least I think that's the time. If not, it's 2). I salute the diner for staying open and serving us and am thankful that it was able to survive. read more
