I know weekends are busy, but the "hype" around this place doesn't match the actual experience. ​The Atmosphere & Service: The place was noticeably dirty, likely because they were extremely short-staffed. While the staff members were friendly enough, they were clearly overwhelmed. I had to ask for basics several times because the servers kept forgetting--it felt like they just couldn't keep up with the crowd. ​ ​Chicken and Waffles: These were just "okay." Nothing special or worth a trip across town for. ​Breakfast Burrito: This was the biggest letdown. It was small and cost $17, yet came with zero sides. No home fries, nothing. It's crazy considering you can walk into almost any standard diner and get a full breakfast with sides for less than $17. ​ If you absolutely have to try it, maybe go on a weekday when they aren't slammed, but honestly, it's not worth the money. I had one great experience, haven't been back yet, but if I do, I might upgrade this to 5 stars. Great music (Bjork was playing, and that's about as good as it gets for me). What I remember is very good, solid American breakfast and... what a surprise -- Brazilian Pão de Queijo! I can't understand why this hasn't caught on like wildfire in the U.S. (Bread baked with cheese! Come on, people!) Harry's does a version that presses it on a waffle iron, maximizing surface area so that the cheese browns slightly and gives an amazing flavor throughout. I don't see it on the online menu, but it was definitely an option on the printed menu (maybe listed as cheese-bread), not just a temporary special. read more

Dunno how I haven't visited this spot yet, but it's definitely quite the lovely lil local diner. Seeing as I got off a long graveyard shift, I definitely felt the need for some good breakfast foods and stumbled upon this place with some of my guys. And with friendly staff and good portions, who wouldn't enjoy a place like this? (Plus, there's ample free parking if you count the side streets). Anyway, aside from the bottomless coffee for those who dine in, this place has got a good selection of bennys and omelets. Ordered breakfast through Uber which gave me an estimated time of delivery. Time kept rising and breakfast order was still showing as "being prepared" for 20 minutes. Decided to cancel and after cancelling Uber informed me that it charged me $17.64 for a FEE for a breakfast! Uber flatly refused to refund any of it even though they didn't inform me how steep the fee would be. They told me to contact the restaurateur "for the food" as they would be getting the fee money. Called Harry's and explained. Asked if they could provide a credit or something since Uber told me they were getting the fee money. In response to my request they offered me a "free coffee" if I came in. Ridiculous and insulting. This, after paying nearly $18 for absolutely nothing. Won't be doing business there again. Needless to say also deleting my Uber account. Tired of getting screwed by companies I give my hard earned money to. read more

What could improve you ask? Have items that are popular in stock such as french fries and hamburger - both have been out of stock when I went there. Bring back Coca-Cola products like they used to have instead of Pepsi. Pre-pandemic and prior owners I often a interest restaurant three times a week. Post pandemic I no longer go there after being there a few times. Prices are high compared to other similar nearby restaurants. Good all American breakfast! Got the Irish eggs Benedict with corn beef hash instead of Canadian bacon. Love the home made home fries. They do have gluten free bread if you want a sandwich. I get the eggs Benedict each time so it's hard to review the other dishes. Order the eggs soft if you like them runny. read more

After doing some digging it looks like Harry's came under new ownership in 2024. It didn't feel like an American breakfast diner in the slightest. We had to wait 5-10 minutes just to get served coffee. Then we placed our food order and waited 20+ minutes just to find out the tablet didn't take our order in the first place so we left. Never had a bad experience at Harry's. You walk in and sit at any open table. Once you learn this you're off to a great start. The ordering system goes as such: you scan the QR Code at the table and it leads you to an easy to read menu. Food has always been consistently made so if you find a favorite dish, chances are it will always be made the same way when you crave it. Some popular items are the eggs Benedict w home fries. We just love the home fries! Another great dish is the steak bomb panini with peppers and onions. You can build your own omelette or order up a nice combo. One of my sons orders pancakes but I don't find them to look appealing as few have stated but he likes them. One major issue I have with this place is that if you have a party of 4 and the bill goes to $75+, they automatically put the tip in your bill at a high percentage. I told them that it is not a good practice and they screw themselves if I want to give more. It just doesn't make sense to me. It will not stop me from visiting but something to keep in mind. As far as interior space, I've never seen lines where you had to wait to be seated. They have quite a few options. It's pretty clean for the most part. Could probably use an update but it's homey. It's one of our favorite brunch spots. read more

Stopped by Harry's for a late breakfast/early lunch. Ordered the turkey club on pumpernickel with coleslaw. Sandwich was excellent, likely as good as you will find anywhere. Cole slaw was equally good, although cut with long cabbage strands, which were a bit clumsy. Set at a street corner, parking seems to be on street only, of which there was plenty. We just had lunch at Harry's and the food was good and affordable. My meal was their delicious chicken salad wheat wrap crammed with cranberries and walnuts. My husband and I have been to Harry's a few times so this was not our first experience, but this will be the last. Service was very poor. We were served coffee which we asked for but the waitress disappeared and never came back till 20 minutes later to take our order. people who came after us were being served. At that point we decided to leave and we paid for our coffee which was unfinished. Terrible, terrible service if I could rate you negative 3 I would. Server could have offered us the coffee for free. First time at this spot we found using our google maps app. We traveled from the Hyde Park Commuter Rail Station and found this little gem. Breakfast is served all day from 7am -2pm Mon-Sat till 4pm on Sundays. Nice looking spot with plenty of seating for couples and a community table for groups. The menu is great with breakfast and lunch specials, nothing over $10. The wait staff struggled with getting the orders correct, not just ours but folks around us were missing items and getting things mixed up. Oh boy but when the food came it was spot on! When we arrived, we were greeted and noticed several open & clean tables. Waited for 10 minutes to be seated until we were told to seat ourselves. Noticed a waitress rubbing her nose piercing with watery eyes and immediately going to her tables. Pancakes arrived without syrup, no cream cheese for bagels, etc. We were not checked in on or presented with an opportunity that we could have voiced our issues. The manager was very passive and rude when we were finally able to speak to them. This entire establishment needs a crash course in customer service and cleanliness. read more

However, it took nearly 15 minutes to be seated, and there were plenty of empty tables. There was a party in front of us who also weren't even acknowledged. Very poor first impression. Harry's gets: 5 stars for friendly, attentive, competent wait staff. 4 stars for being light-filled, clean and comfortable. 5 stars for being one of a paucity of restaurants offering a low-carbohydrate option (grilled vegetables) to substitute for hash browns or French fries. 2 stars for not actually grilling the grilled veggies, instead, apparently, steaming them to strip them of flavor and joy, sending happiness up to the heavens and leaving patrons to drink their own tears. 2 stars for what appears to be a strange aversion to fat, which leads to flavorless omelets stuffed with flavorless fillings. They're like the ghosts of omelets. Thus, mathematically, Harry's is a solid 3.5 stars. The food will take up space in your stomach, but it will not fill you with fond memories. You will not yearn to return. You will not tell your grandchildren how much you loved dining there. 8/16/2024 was my 1st visit to Harry's, I've been wanting to try Harry's for some time now. It was my 1st and last visit. The biggest issue was the MOUSE running around the dining area. Staff caught it in front of guest and Only offered an apology. The food also was Not good/fresh. The home fries tasted as if the were old and re-warmed. My pancakes were flat, tough and hard to cut not fluff at all. The meal upset my stomach for the rest of the day. Very very disappointing and concerning experience with the Mouse! read more

I am appalled! I've ordered here many times and everything has been fine. I will not order from here ever again. With delivery and tip I paid $35. I ordered for my son- egg, bacon, hash browns and toast meal and asked for an extra egg for $1.00. Look at this picture. Not only is it not 2 eggs, it's barely one egg! My meal is called 2's company which is 2 French toast, 2 bacon, 2 sausage. Look at this picture. One sausage and one bacon and the eggs look like egg whites. I called the restaurant to complain and since I got it through Grubhub I have to desperately find a way to get my money back. Ridiculous. And crazy my order has the receipt right on the box and they literally didn't fill the order right. Someone must be in a bad mood over there today or something. read more

I just received my order from Harry's All American. I ordered sausage Benedict. It was awful! The eggs were extremely over cooked, the Hollandaise sauce was obviously from a package and tasted off, and the English muffins were not toasted. In all, it was inedible...well not totally, the dog ate it. Several days ago I ordered a Mexican omelette from Harry's and was served a Denver omelette with two pieces of jalapeño. I have observed that recently the quality of the product served at Harry's is rapidly becoming worse. In a city like Boston that offers so many restaurant options a person does not have to accept bad food quality. There are too many other places to choose from. I hope that this is only a bump in the road for Harry's but I will not be returning to find out. read more

This is my 2nd time here a local breakfast spot. Breakfast was excellent me & my mother. I got the 3 eggs any style with bacon, sausage and home fries, grilled English muffin and a side of corn beef hash. I asked for a hash brown instead but they messed up my order and gave me the home fries instead. The food runner brought our food and I told him I asked for a hash browns, he said I will bring that out sorry, but never got it and our server was MIA never checked on us and asked is everything alright or good, sometime later she finally came by I told her about it, she said she would take it off the bill. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the corn beef was so good, I tried the home fries was excitedly surprised they where delicious and seasoned just right I ate all of them! So it was a good mistake because I enjoyed every last one! The sausage was very good and eggs where as requested over easy. The English muffin was so good grilled. Great and attentive service staff makes the experience very pleasant. Food is very basic and plentiful.

Very solid local breakfast diner. VERY slow to get us seated (many tables were available). Once seated the service was friendly and very attentive. Omelets we're large and home fries crispy. Patty Melt was excellent. Outdoor tables were very nice, but not quite pleasant given the location. Overall, we lover our local breakfast joint. read more

It didn't bode well that the cook was loudly venting on & on, to one of the waitstaff about how the other girl never shows up on time. Not sure what that accomplished except annoying the patrons.
