Howdy all, so this is going to be kind of long review on Gravity Bicycles and my experience on having my suspend tuned with Mike. If you want the shortened version. DO IT! It's worth every penny. So now some back story. I tend to be skeptical of having people do things that I feel I can figure out. So I do what most do and go on YouTube and look up DIY videos etc etc. I feel like I tried and tried to get my suspension dialed in but to be honest l, suspension confuses me. Lol. My feeling is that I judge what I pay for services by what it'll cost me an hour if I tried doing it myself. Well I can honestly say that I wasted close to 8 months riding without getting this custom tune by Mike at Gravity. It has literally made me more confident. The bike feels more planted and handles like no other. If you think about it, we spend thousands of dollars on our bikes. And yes I was skeptical, people were telling me for months and months to get the tune but I foolishly dragged my feet. After the appointment I went to my local trail and rode it and immediately noticed a difference and because o wanted to make sure it wasn't a placebo affect I rode a gnarlier trail at Oaks and WOW!!! Great mechanic, highly recommended. Craig is very thorough and understands how bike components should work (i.e. when replacing a chain the rear cassette should be replaced as well). Originally I just requested to have a couple of broken spokes replaced before my trip to Big Bear and before I could even ask Craig when I could have the wheel rebuilt in the future he immediately asked how many spokes I've previously replaced and recommended that it was likely due for a rebuild. Will be going back for a wheel rebuild for sure. In addition, I figured it was time to replace my chain (which he checked for tension and of course it was overdue) and had several chains in stock. While I was at it I asked if he had a new Maxxis Minnion DHR II tire and sure enough he had one in stock. He also had rear cassettes in stock but unfortunately my specific setup was limited to a 42 tooth which didn't match any of the rear cassettes in stock. Craig replaced the chain, replaced the two broken spokes with stronger 14 gauge spokes, trued the rear wheel, adjusted the rear derailleur for better shifting, replaced the presta valve stem, installed the new tire with the tubeless setup and made it solid (before it was slowly leaking after receiving it back from two different bike shops). His availability is much better than the local bike shops, labor prices are much better than local bike shops, and bike parts are not much more than ordering on Amazon. My Big Bear trip would have been dismal since all the bike shops were two to four weeks behind but Craig came through quick and improved my Commencal Meta AM V4 read more

Craig at Gravity Bicycles is such an amazing guy. He treats his customers kindly, respectfully and professionally. And when it comes to bikes, he knows what he is doing! I had a couple flat tires on the Fullerton Loop. I turned in my bike to him to see if I should go tubeless, but he said the conversion would be costly with new wheels, rims & spokes. He suggested another option is to just get new tubes, valves and inner sealant for a fraction of the cost than going tubeless and still confidently ride with less chance of getting a flat next time. He also tuned up my bike and fixed a derailer issue that bothered me for quite some time that a previous bike repair shop said the whole thing needed to be replaced. The front wheel on my Rattan LM500 ebike was making a strange clicking noise whenever I would accelerate past 10 mph. There's a reason this place has five stars and it all comes down to the amazing and personalized service you get! I dealth with Craig, Mike, and Vanessa to get my new mountain bike suspension tuned up. Vanessa was able to get me and my friend in back to back on a Friday which was perfect. Upon arrival, Mike was ready for us to start our tuning. I went first and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Mike not only set up the supsension perfectly, he did it in a professional and fun way. He also took the time to go over all the different settings and how playing with them will affect the way the suspension would function. This all took about 1 hour. After the intial tune we did a quick ride outside where Mike continued to watch how the bike was behaving. Everything went great. From there he pointed out that the new bike I had was Tubeless ready but had tubes inside. So while my friend started his 1 hour tuning appointment, my bike went into the extremely capable hands of Craig. Craig was just as friendly and professional as Mike and let me stand around while he converted my tires to tubeless. He also was willing to answer all the questions I had and even after installing the tubeless tires, went over the bike quickly to make sure everything was in great shape, quickly adjusted my shifter and seat and wiped the bike down. This crew really knows their bikes, especially their mountain bikes. I am so glad to have found a place that does suspension tuning along with literally any other service you can imagine. They also have a store right next door to their service shop. I feel confident I can bring any bike I have to them and know that it will be perfectly and competently taken care of. After all was done, I went out for a ride and set PRs on my usual trail on literally every single downhill segment. That's how much of a difference they made. I brought my two mountain bikes in to be serviced by Craig. He and Vanessa were able to check in my bike on Monday morning, bleed brakes, replace pads, deep clean one drivetrain and return the bikes back to me on Wednesday afternoon. I am impressed with their work, speed, and professionalism. One suggestion would be to improve on their communication. I initially contacted them over email but I did not hear back. After speaking with them on the phone we texted back and forth. For some texts, I did not receive any response until I followed up with a call.
