I think this place is going to pretty cool! We went during the soft open, and the official open is soon and will feature an expanded menu of more drinks and food than we were able to get, but that said, we enjoyed everything we *could* order and look forward to coming back soon. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We started with a whiskey-based drink for myself (DadBod) and a more tropical/grapefruit drink for my husband (Pink Power Ranger -- great name!,) and both drinks were tasty. I later got the "Gin Gin Hooray!" which I enjoyed even more than my first drink. The drink and food prices for the soft open were reasonable compared to similar venues, so I felt like we were getting a good value for our money versus places like my bummer visit to Mister O's. I don't know if the prices will go up come the grand opening, but let's hope they don't! This seems like it's going to be more of a tapas/shared plates place, but we ate a little more conventionally since we were just two people. We had the roasted almond Brussels sprouts (delicious) and patatas bravas as appetizers. This is a Spanish dish with roasted potatoes paired with a garlic/tomato sauce. It's very tasty. I've had patatas bravas before and a big part of the dish is the garlic tomato sauce (otherwise it's just roasted potatoes.) The sauce for this was very tasty, but it was at the bottom of the enclosed dish with the potatoes served on top, and not quite enough sauce so it was harder to experience it. I think they'd be better served pouring the sauce on top as I've seen before, since it wasn't easy to scoop it up with the potatoes. That said, it was still delicious. Then I had the hamburger (tasty) and my husband had the mac & cheese. He really enjoyed it, but found it too rich to eat as an entree solo, and felt that it would be much better shared (as they recommend.) The inside is stylish/fun, but the space is rather small, and the one thing I felt looking around is that they might be missing a few opportunities for more seating with the way their tables and chairs are arranged. That said, they're supposed to have quite a nice patio outside but it wasn't available today because of rain. So that patio will definitely help with seating. Looking forward to more. read more

She's been throwing up and had diarrhea 3 days and all she had was the burgers. Gave this place a try because they were participating in DineLA and I was elated that they did not disappoint. The deal was $35 for four courses and I'm sure my cousins will agree with me when I say it was money well spent. We tried the corn salad and the mezze sampler for the first course, mac n cheese for the second, tavern steak and lemon chicken for the third, and fosselman's ice cream for the fourth. All of the food from start to finish was well-portioned and the steak was cooked to the temperature requested. Didn't have a single complaint, but I did want to make a suggestion to management should they find themselves trolling around these parts: paper bags would make the to-go presentation much nicer than the plastic bags our food was packed in. We just had our first dinner experience. Went on a Saturday night with no reservations and they were easily able to accommodate. The drinks were well made and tasted good, but note that they use more lesser known brands as their well liquor. If you have particular tastes, you may want to specify. We had the crispy cauliflower appetizer to start. It felt healthy and yet tasty all at once. For entrees, we had the burger and the pasta primavera. First, the burger was excellent. It was a good size, but not so oversized that you couldn't bite into it. I ordered it medium rare and to my delight it came that way! The patty was really flavorful and the accompanying fries were to die for. The primavera was delicious, served hot right after being cooked, and they gave us chili flakes on request. It was as good or better than local Italian joints. Lastly, the service was good. The staff were polite and friendly, and it made for a great experience. We wjll definitely go back. Decided to try for DineLA and liked everything about the experience. For starters the seating is very spaced out and everything felt very covid safe. We had the DineLA meals and everything they brought out was very tasty and well made (grilled salad, French onion soup, steak, churros and creme caramel). Food was pretty good. The drinks were standard. However, this is why I am giving a one star review. They had a group of people who came in to do a couple songs and stand up comedy. We were not made aware that this was going on, and there did not seem to be any noticeable signage upon entering. My friends and I were sitting in the back of the bar just having a quiet conversation - not trying to be too loud but medium talking volume so we could hear each other. We were not told by anyone working there upon entering that we needed to not talk during the performance or keep a extra-quiet volume so they could record eachother. The group of people who were performing that night were constantly harassing us while we were enjoying eachothers company in the back of the restaurant. One of them stood up and walked to our table saying that we needed to be silent so they could record this performance for YouTube, and they could hear some talking in the background. At first we were just a bit confused because we were not being loud whatsoever, but the performers were acting as if they were employees and as if we were being obnoxious. Instead of them asking their staff to talk to us, they decided to handle it themselves. They were upset we were talking at regular indoor voice volume in a bar, despite being as far as we could physically could be from the performance. Mind you, this is a bar, we were just there for a couple drinks, this wasn't a concert hall, movie theater, or library. Personally, I am never someone who ever gets called out for being loud or disruptive, and we certainly weren't being anything like that. The problem was, nobody was at the bar because clearly nobody wanted to be around these people who were performing. It was not professional singing, it was clearly for fun - which is good for them, but that was a clear sign that this was not a serious event that required undivided attention. They were upset with anybody who was talking. We weren't at a concert; we were at a restaurant, sitting farthest away from the performers as we could. While one of the older woman was singing, she walked all the way up to our table which was 30 feet across the room and said, "these people are so f*cking rude!" It was so awkward and humiliating because there were only two other couples there who then left because of how awful and awkward the performers were to humiliate us. The stand up comedy guy was then making jokes about suicide that were really cringe and distasteful. When I glanced over at him from accross the bar, he stops his sketch and goes "oh, finally you are paying attention!" We had no idea that the performers there expected the few people that were there to act like it was a concert or show where everyone needed to be dead silent. If we had been approached by someone who actually worked there to let us know that they require a quiet setting, we would have totally been more understanding. They made such a scene out of us, and all of the staff just seemed to ignore what was happening. We were just sitting there having a quiet conversation and catching up since my friends and I haven't seen each other in months, but apparently we were supposed to be paying full attention to the drunk karaoke they were doing at the front of the bar? What an awful experience that completely humiliated us and ruined our night for no reason. I'm guessing they were so upset because we were one of three groups of people that were there. Clearly nobody wanted to go during this hour the bar was open for this reason - hence why it was completely empty. We ended up leaving with how unprofessional, antagonizing, and disrespectful the random people were treating us just trying to enjoy our meal and drinks in the back of the restaurant. Nobody who worked there was present to sort out this conflict brought upon us. I would go ahead and avoid this bar. read more

This place has potential but our service was not good. We went on a Wednesday night, literally we were the only people on the patio and we were there for two and half hours. I repeatedly had to get up and find our waitress or flag down staff. And a few times I could clearly see the waitress looking at her phone, so I know it wasn't because she was busy. But she was very nice. They overcharged us for our wine. There is only 1 option on their menu for each wine, yet we were charged for a more expensive brand. So I would say be advised and check your bill. Charging people for something that's not even on the menu is pretty shady. Now onto the food! Sliders, fries, flatbread pizza and cauliflower were all delicious. Nachos fell flat and were sent back because the cheese was not melted. My tequila drink was very good. I would give this place another try, however I would definitely sit inside at the bar in hopes of getting better service. read more

This place was great!!! My first time here. Took my cousin to dinner for her birthday. The atmosphere (patio) was so pretty. The food and drinks were delicious. But best was the service! We had Atticus who took such great care of us. He even paid attention to the hot sun hitting my back as it went down and kept coming by to lower the shade for me (without me asking!). Once he couldn't roll it any lower, he moved us to another table so I wouldn't have to keep sweating. He brought an extra plate of deliciousness for my cousin since it was her birthday. Again, without us ordering or asking for it. What a treat! He just made the whole experience that much better! Highly recommend and we will be back. Very soon! read more

All the drinks I've tried have been fresh and delicious, often featuring house-made syrups and infusions. But at the same time, they don't feel over-wrought or overly-complicated.
