I went in for an oil change, and the owner, Lee, told me the oil used during my last visit was incorrect. Keep in mind, all previous oil changes were done at this same location. When I asked them to flush the system and put in the correct oil, the owner insisted I pay the full cost for both the flush and the oil change -- even though the mistake was theirs. Furthermore, due to the incorrect oil being used over time, my check engine light is now on. According to Lee, it even sounds like something may be wrong with the motor. It is disheartening to learn that these engine issues may be the direct result of negligence -- something I never expected when trusting Grease Monkey to perform routine maintenance correctly. We had two bad experiences with Grease Monkey over just a few months. The second one was at this location and was the most troubling. The first incident occurred at the Roswell Rd location in North Buckhead. My understanding is that both locations are under the same management. The incident at Roswell Rd. happened in March of this year. I was having my oil checked before going to visit my daughter in NC. The tech had placed a piece of equipment on my hood near the windshield and then went to open the hood and my windshield immediately shattered. It was so bad the car was not safe to drive on the highway. The tech was apologetic and they were going to cover the cost but the service could not be done on sight as promised and we were forced to make an appointment and take it somewhere else. It was a huge hassle and inconvenience to us. Grease Monkey covered the cost, paying for it directly, but our cost was the time lost and being jerked around. My husband had to leave work to handle. The second incident occurred in July of this year. My son was getting the car ready to head to a wedding in Mississippi for the weekend. He left Atlanta around 5 pm in the evening. A little over an hour into the trip he felt a drag in the car and pulled over to see the lining of the bottom of the car peeled back and dragging the ground. He was able to get to the next exit but nothing was available to offer him service. Everything was closed. The car could not be driven like it was back to Atlanta. After contacting our insurance roadside assistance we were able to get a tow but had to wait several hours. My husband had to drive to Bremen, GA (over a hour away)at 9 pm to get him and wait for the tow. They did not make it back until well after midnight. Luckily there was no bad damage to the car but the tow was expensive and we had to have our mechanic fix the cover. My son missed the wedding and we were put through quite a worrisome ordeal. At the very least we expected full compensation for our financial burden related to this matter of $555.19 after weeks of badgering, we finally received a check for $400 that did not cover all our cost, forget about the our time and hassle. We are grateful that this was not worse and there was no severe damage to the car and that my son was not hurt. I would not recommend using any Grease Monkey locations for service to your car. WILL RUIN YOUR CAR WITH A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE with a sprinkle of trash customer service Talk about a sh't customer and regular service. People answering the phone are absolutely rude, making stuff on the spot. When asked to talk to a manager, he made a whole thing about how they suddenly can't talk about any service they have done previously over the phone. Of course you wouldn't. F'cked up my car and wont take any responsibility. After doing oil at this place, I had to go to 2 different oil places who both said that they did a horrible job, the drain plug is rounded to the point where both places refused to take the liability of trying to do anything about the car and said the only option left is seeing if the dealership can help with that. (Both of them also said that the person who did the oil originally, definitely had no idea what they were doing) Never again. Save yourself from stress and extra wasted money, because these people have no idea what they're actually doing. read more

I went to this place once before and got such good service I decided to go back well not this time.. I came in to get an oil change just like the last time and presented the lady at the counter with coupons from the web that were from this specific location and I printed both of the oil change oils because I didn't know which one would be for my 2010 HONDA!!! She declined both coupons and I ended up paying $99 for an oil change for my HONDA keep in mind In only pay $60 at the dealership!!! It was just convenient because this is by my job but this isn't the kicker.. she than staples a coupon on the top for $25 off an oil change that expires in March!!!! If you have an active coupon for my car why not just say hey those dont work but Ill apply this one.. SMH horrible customer service! Never again! I had to take my first review down!! read more

Usually I handle car maintenance but this time my wife went in by herself. The request was for an oil change and brake light repair only. She was pressured that she needed all these additional services. She declined but pressure sell continues so she called me and I confirmed to her to decline. They called me and indicated I needed all of these additional services. The car had been 100k serviced at the dealer and all of these items were current. I drove up there to ensure we didn't end up with a high bill for unneeded services. We used to have a great experience. Makes it difficult to recommend. read more
