A quick Yelp search suggested Grease Monkey locations scattered around Denver, similar in style to the Jiffy Lubes I'd frequent way back when. I felt confident with Grease Monkey, and overall I'm satisfied after one visit. I arrived as soon as they opened (maybe even a few minutes before) and had an attendant come up to the car within seconds. It started off a little rocky since he couldn't find my car in the system? Eventually we progressed. Oil change and tire rotation, let's go! You get what you pay for here. Around $100 for an oil change and tire rotation sounds a little high, right? But did I mention your car is done in about 30 minutes? That's crazy fast and I will pay for quick service! Plus, if you check in on Yelp you can use their $10 off deal. I'll take it! The two gentleman who worked on my car and rung me up were extremely professional. They even showed me my air filter to express how clean it was. Anything car-related, I'm sure we all appreciate not being sold on crap we don't need. After one visit, I'm buying into the Grease Monkey philosophy. Don't forget your mask!

Well turns out, the water pump needed to be replaced, so I had that done, as well as the timing belt. First sign of shoddy work was the fact that when I drove home, the car started losing power to the radio and dash lights. Thankfully, I lived very close to the shop at the time and was able to get it home, at which point I discovered that the alternator wasn't re-connected after the work done. Easy fix for even someone like me, but c'mon, how do you overlook this? Fast forward to a little more than a year and I come to find out that the car is leaking coolant again, and was told by another mechanic that the water pump is leaking again. So either they used a cheap part or didn't put it in properly. I don't have the time to take this car back to this shop to have it done, so I'm just going to have the pump replaced by someone that knows what they are doing.

Being in nursing school, I finally made it back up after five months to have them answer why my emergency brake lights were coming on. They said it was my wheel hub. I already paid 1200 and now they want 1000 more to fix this with little resolution to my questionable brakes for the last 5 months - death wobble included. I went to a friend and it was a $100 tie rod and my 4x4 had also been severed. Cut and non-working on top of that. I had to drive my ruck back to the mountains with hazards on and under 45 mph terrified. I got it fixed for $250 - not a $1000 like they quoted. And now I have to fix the 4x4 they severed and my ABS and emergency parking lights that they screwed. Horrible. Untrustworthy. Scam.

Simply wasting my time…read more Went in today with my partner to get our oil changed on the car. Before arriving we setup an appointment the day before. We got there 15-20 minutes early since we had another appointment set later on for the day. Technicians had a lack of care for our time. When It came down to getting the replacement air-filter we told them we were ready to leave but insisted on continuing to work on our vehicle. The technician offered us a "20 dollar coupon" for our time, however that was the discount coupon we got before even arriving to get serviced. Then when trying to leave the technician leaves the keys with themselves having me run back to get them from him. Honestly, If I could give 0 STARS I would they do not care about your time.

Joe quoted 180 for labor, flat rate. He said if we get the car in by 9:00 AM the next day he'd make sure it was the first thing worked on. We did, and he did. We paid the quote price for labor. They all turned towards me as I was driving up the bay and threw their arms up in the air in disgust that they would have to do some work. I was so annoyed by the reaction that I turned around and drove away. As I was leaving the parking lot, one of them who looked to be around 18-20 years old waved at me. They probably get paid by the hour so me leaving doesn't mean anything to them. But now I know, I'll just go some place else that actually wants to do their job.
