Terrific little cafe, lots of folks typing away, a brick interior hoop and vibe that's spirited yet chill simultaneously. I got their lemon lavender iced almond milk matcha , and man was that fire. Super cold faint lavender scented citrusy dreamy matcha that's the perfect balance of grassy and earthy--yummy. Loved it. Because it was a special, it comes in only one size, which was fine by me because though I drank half that day, I also chugged it the next day by adding more ice. Super flavorful. I asked the young woman working behind the counter which dairy free milk she recommended for optimal blending with matcha. She was adorable and basically said she didn't know! But it was the transparent t way she said it, where I felt the friendly warm open receptive spirit. The prices are decent and it's not overly loud, not deafening with screeching or banging music. Super chill and beautiful inside.

Walking around downtown Los Gatos, I stumbled upon Great Bear Coffee and decided to check them out. It is a nice, clean, spacious cafe. They have inside and outdoor seating. The customer service is so outgoing and friendly! I ordered their Famous Triple C drink! What is that? *Chocolate Coffee Cream: A perfect blend of Coffee, Ghirardelli Chocolate Vanilla Ice cream, topped with real whipped cream (like a milkshake) (4/5). Wow, this was thick, creamy, decadent, Chocolate-y heaven. I am so.glad I found this place. Support your local business.

A cute coffee shop right in the middle of downtown Los Gatos. They have a lot of seasonal drinks which is so fun- every time I go I order a different one to stay festive. Good atmosphere and working environment. They have a lot of seating so there are plenty of people sitting on their laptops or just hanging out. It's only a coffee shop, not a bakery, so they don't have a huge variety of baked goods. Still, one of my favorite coffee shops in the area!

Tried the Chocolate Coffee Cream or as they like to call it CCC, and it was delicious. It is more like a milkshake than a coffee drink, so if you drink it like that, it's wonderful. The staff was nice and friendly. Ambiance is nice as well.

Friendly service. I was in Los Gatos today and made a pit stop and discovered they sell Icing on the Cake banana cake slices (and if you know, this is the best bakery in the town!). Since the bakery wasn't open on Sunday, I felt it was meant to be so I grabbed a slice to go. I had an iced latte and they made it good, not too sweet.

Somehow, I didn't know this place existed. Was pleasantly surprised - this place is huge inside. They have all your standard coffee drinks and a HUGE selection of Monin syrups (including sugar free options). Friendly staff although they messed up our order, but it wasn't a huge deal. Will be back to try more.

Are you reopen for indoor dining yet?

At this time, the Great Bear is not offering indoor dining. We are looking forward to opening up to indoor seating once the county remains firmly in the Red Tier and then progresses to the Orange Tier at least (when we would be allowed 50% seating…

The inside of Moonwake is rather large for a coffee shop with plenty of seats and space, the outside has about 4-5 small "2 seat" tables. If you walk straight in "and keep walking" you will see their roasting room, that looks like a mad scientist lab with computers and beacons. It was pretty cool watching them proofing the coffee. I ordered a decaf iced Mocha with 1/2 & 1/2 and a Berry pistachio croissant, wifey ordered a regular coffee with room. Wifey's coffee had a delicate earthy flavor. "For regular coffee it was quite good" 4 stars My Mocha even with the 1/2 & 1/2 was good but did not have the body I like. 2.5 stars. "For said items $21.45" The Croissant was absolutely amazing, decadent, buttery, crispy, and chewy. Honestly it's the best one I've had short of Arsicault Bakery in San Francisco. Yeah man these are nearly that good! 5 stars for sure! The service was good and the employees were nice and helpful. Overall rating in my opinion, this place is solidly in the 4 star area. And I will be coming back for their croissants. :-D

With some coffees a second cup will give me a stomach ache (especially since I drink my cold brews black and bitter like my soul), but I had no problems with their cold brews! I also got the vegan stonefruit scone (baked by Sweet Dragon) and while a little on the dry side (common with scones), paired extremely well with the coffee and had good flavor. Husband got a cappuccino and a strawberry mini pie and was extremely pleased with his order. The service is friendly, but some things may have been new on the day we went. They almost forgot my cold brew until we asked at the counter, as well as stating that they didn't have anything to heat up my husband's strawberry pie (which seems odd, since a little toaster oven seems like a simple fix for that), but apparently it was fantastic at room temperature anyway. Seating was absolutely full when we got there and we were lucky to snag a table as another couple left, so it seems like a popular Saturday morning spot. Several folks were working on laptops, and it seems like a kid-friendly place. The decor is a clean and modern/trendy industrial style, which works well for the space, and the windows provide nice daylight. Overall, a good coffee shop and I am really happy to see vegan pastry options! My husband is getting into pinball, which was part of the motivation to come out and try Chromatic, so I am sure we'll be back again next time he wants to hit up Slingshot (in the same building), and I look forward to the coffee and treats!

The seating area is quite limited for the large crowd it attracts, making the atmosphere inside feel a bit chaotic at peak times. Fortunately, the baristas are super polite and work fast, keeping the long lines moving efficiently. The coffee menu and the retail bean selection are both impressive. I decided to try a dulce de leche coffee. While I was expecting a strong caramel profile of dulce de leche, the flavor turned out to be fairly subtle rather than prominent. It added a significant sweetness, but without knowing the order beforehand, identifying the exact flavor would have been tough. That said, the coffee itself was still refreshing The high quality of the coffee bean really shone through, delivering a rich aroma and the ideal caffeine kick for a breezy morning. Great coffee beans and fast service make it worth dropping in, even if the indoor seating situation is a bit tight.

The menu offering is limited but has enough variety to please most palates including kids as they do offer hot chocolate. The lavender latte was delicious. The coffee beans had a deep flavor reminiscent of Vietnamese coffee. The lavender flavor was unlike any other. It didn't have that artificial syrup taste. It wasn't overly florally, instead it just enhances the coffee without overpowering. Even more so, the vanilla latte was even better because that Madagascar bean flavor really shines through. I recommend getting this one if you're unsure what to order. We got to chit chat with the owner and he makes all the syrups from scratch. Both the lavender and vanilla bean syrup are homemade which is why you can really taste and appreciate the difference. The owner was very personable, open to criticism and all around a pleasant person. He seemed very knowledgable about coffee and clearly passionate about what he does. One thing I really appreciated was the temperature of the coffee. The lattes were served nice and hot. They prioritize the coffee experience rather than latte art which I appreciated.
