This is one of the worst companies that has ever existed. They are full of liars and thieves. I always shop local and small business when possible and this company has all of the negatives and none of the positives. No accountability or ownership of mistakes. When I had our estimate we specifically asked if the baseboard needed to be removed and we were told no. I made it clear that I would remove them if necessary to ensure they could be labeled and reinstalled. We were assured the baseboards were installed at a height that enabled the installer to work with it in. When we proceeded with the proposal the installer showed up and removed the baseboards from my entire house without telling me. He broke them all, threw them in my front yard, and left my house a mess. I attempted on multiple occasions to reach out to the manager with my frustrations and he was never around, never called me back, or followed up. They cost me thousands of dollars and countless hours to stain, sand, refinish, and install new baseboards at the same time we were welcoming our first child. I will never forget the disrespect and poor service provided by this company. Please take your business anywhere else but here!!! read more

Not great, not honest, not customer-focused A week ago Monday I phoned Great Floors in Shoreline and ordered ~45 sq ft of Daltile. I had tried to purchase it direct from Daltile but they directed me to Great Floors or another supplier and said it was "in-stock" in Portland. I spoke with Jim Verdier at the Shoreline Great Floors on the phone and he took my money and said "Wednesday or Friday" from Portland. Tuesday Morning came and Jim V. Said it would instead be a week from Friday. This would put my project at a huge delay and he said his rep "was trying to drive it up to Seattle sooner". He also confirmed that there were 14sq ft in Seattle that were from the same run of tile as the balance of the stock in Portland. While waiting for the rep to respond, I tried to figure out how I could make it down to Portland from Seattle to get the tile so that my project could advance. Meanwhile, day by day, no answers came as to when it would be delivered from Portland and apparently no concern about my situation. I was the one calling or even driving up to Shoreline to try to get answers. On Thursday I finally phoned when no response came from my email it to learn it was Jim V's day off though there was no notice, no email out of office message and no follow up as to our urgent need to lock in a plan for delivery. Friday I called into Daltile myself and learned that the order was never placed to Portland. It was placed to California and arriving on a truck Friday, June 13. At this point Jim still insisted the rep was going to "drive it up to Seattle Monday or Tuesday but if he didn't have time it would be on a truck Wednesday and finally arrive to the store on Friday, June 13. I confronted Jim and shared what I learned and insisted that he fix the issue with Daltile and that I be able to pickup the tile myself in Portland on Monday, June 9. He declined since he "hadn't heard from the rep still" and I said I needed to cancel the order and get a full refund. We did drive to Portland, purchased the tile from Floor Factors and it's up and looking great. However, I have yet to get a phone call from the manager, Jim Dahl, as to my request to receive a full refund. Monday, he was already gone for the day and I left a voicemail. Tuesday, Jim V told me I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee. I declined and asked to speak with Jim Dahl. Never heard back. Wednesday, Jim V told me they were still "waiting to hear back from Daltile on taking the tile back" - different answer than the day before. Still no call from the manager, no apology, no resolution. I paid with a check to save the credit card fee otherwise, I would have canceled via them. And as slow as these guys are on helping customers, they aren't slow on cashing checks. read more

I cannot remember his name, but he was super helpful and helped recommend the right flooring for our needs. I was looking to have laminate flooring installed in my condo recently. There were so many choices of where to go to purchase it that it was almost overwhelming. While visiting the Home Show I talked with a representative of Great Floors. Based on that experience I went to the Great Floors in Lynnwood to see what they could do for me. My experience was great from beginning to end. The salesperson, Cathy, was knowledgeable and listened to what I was looking for. She was integral in helping me decide on the product and color. She then came out to my place and measured the space, quickly sent an estimate and helped schedule the work. When the installers came - on time! - they were very professional and hard working. Throughout the install they were attentive to keeping the space as clean as possible. They were very efficient and completed the whole job within 2 days. My overall experience with this company from beginning to end was nothing but outstanding. They provided wonderful customer service, did not try to up sell me on something I didn't want and were able to complete the job quickly. When I need to replace the carpets in my bedroom, I will be using them again. I wholeheartedly recommend this store - they were great!! read more

I had floorte LVP floors installed through Costco, August 2022. I was very specific with my requests, I have kids and dogs and wanted durability. Boy, did I not get that. This floor sucks, so bad. 100/100 do not recommend. 1. It scratches very easily. I expressed this concern about 7 months after install. With my sales person via email and he had me mail in a sample of my floor, which I did. They supposedly did a scratch test with a nail and said it would not scratch... I 100% do not believe that. My floor scratches from dog nails. It is literally covered in scratches, a little over a year jn. 2. It looks dirty ALLL THE TIME. I mop and 10 minutes later it's smudgy and ugly just from being walked on by dogs. We do not wear shoes in our house. I literally have to mop daily. Anyways, I hate my floor and I feel like I was not listened to. And now nothing can be done. So moral is don't buy this floor or maybe don't even use this company. read more

I had a random request for a smallish piece of linoleum to use as flooring for our pet's pen. I went to a couple other flooring stores in the area and they all turned me away because linoleum is "phasing out". I mean, I still see them in bathrooms/laundry rooms of new home builds so they gotta have them somewhere! I went into this store and the associate Bobby was able to help me and offered a few options they had! We worked with the person who would cut the linoleum down to size (Ary) and he was also very helpful! I definitely got what I needed and appreciated the help of these two gentlemen. We have been updating our house for the last 4 months. We have added a new roof, skylights, gutters, exterior-interior paint, furnace, hot water tank, AC, bathroom remodel, finished a basement, new furniture and carpet ect... -The carpet experience was definitely the low point. Great Floors was the least expensive bid by 300$. I wish now I had just spent the extra 300$! (Our total job was ~ 8000$) From the start the communication and coordination was not great. Then on install day the carpet arrived for the lower level of the house and had been ruined by a forklift. This was almost 60 yards of carpet. It was torn in several places in 3-4 foot lengths. Great Floors wanted us to install it and they would order replacement pieces then come back out remove those pieces and patch in the new carpet. ((I said no.)) I was not going to get carpet from 2 different dye lots. I was insulted that they asked. I had already removed all our furnishings and taken a day of work. We also had out of state company coming in 2 days and as a result the old carpet (which was ruined from the construction in the basement) had to remain in place with the prolific paint and sheetrock mud spots and stains. For a week our company saw this in our beautiful new basement and we were unhappy. New carpet was ordered and were told that a rebate would be applied for our troubles. I took another day off work and anticipated installation on the estimated day. Less than 48 hours before the appointment after still not hearing if this date was going to work because of the shipping of the carpet I drove to the Lynnwood store. I was told no one could tell me if the carpet would in fact be installed on the proposed / estimated date and the installation coordinator was not reachable. I left not knowing what the deal was. I was called 20 minutes later by the installation coordinator and he implied that he didn't know anything about me going to the store and that he was just giving me a "courtesy call". They come out to install after I again took another day off work and moved all the furniture outside and again uninstalled the Murphy Bed and for all this effort and hassle I was offered $150 rebate off our 8000$ order. -LAME AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T PAID/CREDITED IT TO US! nor have they communicated... again. Do business elsewhere - I gave 2 stars because Jesus the installer was very good and a very nice man. (that's the only reason for 2 stars) read more

We went to the Lynnwood location after looking at several other vendors. We worked with Bobby Sajutie and had a great experience. We'd been searching for several weeks and were familiar with the process and what we were looking for. Bobby was well-informed and was able to answer some of the detailed questions that we had. We went in on a Saturday. He had our house measured Monday morning and turned a quote around very quickly. We ended up needing more product than they had locally but he had it shipped in from Georgia. I was honestly waiting for them to blow the window that they'd given us for shipping and install, but they beat the quoted timeline. Install was fantastic. Incredibly clean, courteous crew. They nailed the details around some difficult areas. We're really glad we ended up here and will start here next time. read more

Terrible experience, sales people try and scam you for personal gains aside from delivering a sub par install and then instead of acknowledging it, tell you that you'll love it and to trust them as it's good. This was the most surreal sales interaction I've ever been a part of....I was told my home would require 2 days for install, instead it took over 5 days which was delayed multiple times and when it was completed it was done so half ass that I had to tell them it was unacceptable, which the sales person would not understand and kept saying to "trust him" and it would be fine. I literally told him I didn't trust him and his service was not to expectations and he told me I was offending him - at great floors the sales people's egos are more important that customer satisfaction or good work. Saleman also omitted two major things while we worked out the price which was only acknowledged after the fact, the first required me to spend hours of my own time to paint trim, the second omission led me to have to pay the sales person directly an additional $100 to remove my hot water tank which he advised had to be done the night before the floors were to be installed, leaving me no time to figure out any other solution as I don't know how to uninstall a hot water tank myself. All this being said, after the failed install that didn't cover the entire floor, great floors said "for the missing area that we didn't have enough carpet to cover we can get another carpet that looks similar and install that.....or you can wait 3-4 week's for us to get more carpet shipped to you..." they refused to express ship the carpet and made every one of their mistakes my problem. In the end I had my floors delayed being completed by over 60 days from the initial date provided, was ignored by the sales person multiple times and constantly was told I should just accept the poor job they did and also that is wasn't poor that it was actually good. What a complete joke!! After the carpet was reinstalled the installation guys broke off three pieces of trim that had been installed during this job, I send pics to the sales person and he never acknowledges them. I'm seriously not sure how such a low integrity person could be employed, which I told him and he said he'd been there for many years which leads me to believe great floors Lynnwood likes to employee these types of low end sales types. It also means if you go here you will be scammed or let down or probably both so I would recommend avoiding this place. The one thing I did learn from all this is to never pay any installation deal 100% upfront, I only paid 60% upfront which the sales person said would be hard to push through but guess what, he was able to when I said I wouldn't pay it all up front. This was likely the only reason I got the floors redone because I still owed them 40% which I refused to pay until the floors were done right. Additionally I finally got so frustrated with the salesmen not resolving anything that I went to the store manager and he got the reinstall taken care of. The sales person never did anything right, but did claim to do everything right even as he ignored my calls for days in a row. As a new home owner this experience delayed my moving in by over 60 days and showed Great Floors true colors - they're nothing more than con men who leverage people's desire to move in quick to deliver sub standard solutions and less than what was agreed upon. Luckily enough for me I was able to wait the 60+ days and because I hadn't paid in full was able to find someone in management who had a shred of integrity left in him. I asked for great floors to compensate me for the two months of storage I had to pay for because of their delays, poor installs that led to longer delays in uninstalling and then redoing the installation a second time, and the sales person told me he could do nothing, blaming the carpet manufacturer and also myself. I took the same request to the store manager and he conceded that I was owed some sort of compensation but only to the tune of 30% of the two months total storage cost. At this point I wanted to be done and move on so that's what I decided to do. Never go here and if for some reason you do, don't pay in full and never trust the sales people - the guy may seem like your friend but he is far from it!!!!!!!!!! read more

Sure they have a nice looking showroom, but working with them was a nightmare after they screwed up. Avoid! We needed ~18 sq ft of tile to fill a space on the edge of our existing tiled floor. My wife went to Great Floors in Lynnwood, about 6 blocks from our house, with written tile measurements, and a whole sample tile to match the size and color. My wife felt Joan was immediately dismissive of her, merely pointing her in a general direction, but otherwise not willing to assist, despite the store being mostly empty. After finding something similar in color, and reiterating the dimensions, Joan ordered us the tile for about $110. Around 1 week later the tile arrived, and the real problems began. The GF tile was almost 1/2 inches too big. Right on the box it was clear this was not the size we needed. We went to the store, new tile in arms, and talked with Joan about the issue, hoping for an exchange to rectify their error. She confirmed the order was correct, saying something to the effect of "that's just the way tile sizes are", and we'd have to talk with manager for a return. We left our info for the Manager, Jim Dahl, to call us. Over the next week Jim never called, despite us calling a couple times. We eventually went to the store one morning and were told that we just missed him. I requested he call me which he of course never did. I instead returned to the store later that afternoon, and finally caught up with Jim. Immediately he seemed defensive, saying they can't do returns; we literally argued in circles about this, with me pointing out we did everything we could to get the right size (a full sample, written measurements), and the error was Great Floors', not ours. Finally he angrily conceded he could refund me, but not himself, but via corporate instead. A couple weeks later a check arrived in the mail, inexplicably short by ~$10. Seriously? This is a store that is surely doing $1000's or 10,0000's regularly (daily? weekly?), but couldn't stand to refund petty cash for their clear mistake. Especially now being a new home owner of an old house, I've never encountered a business with such terrible customer service. I'll never return and I find myself regularly sharing this story with friends to encourage them to shop elsewhere. We did find our tile eventually after this debacle at a much more modest store near Everett, and they even had the tile right there in stock. I asked to look at their in store specials, and the sales person showed me a stack of unmarked carpet scraps in the back on a folding table, and wouldn't give me a straight answer on the prices and differences. She wanted me to dig through them. It was like shopping for carpet out of a dumpster. She kept making random judgments, like "you must live in a split-entry", insulted me several times in front of my wife, suggesting I couldn't have as much bedroom space as I had, and made derogatory and ignorant judgments about what kind of house I must have. I don't know how anyone could actually buy carpet from this store even if they wanted too. The woman was incapable of telling me how much it cost to install 1000sq ft of carpet in our three bedrooms, or give me an estimate price for any of the samples she gave me. She told me I should just pick one and buy it. I asked for price estimates on one of their in stock carpets, and she never gave it to me. I even got the "we have to make money too" line. She kept coming back with samples of ugly yellow carpet that cost 2-3x's any of the in stock carpet. No wonder the place was empty. After about an hour, I just said goodbye and left. She didn't take my contact info, or give me any information on the carpets we looked at, or contact information. I would blindly order carpet and pay twice as much before buying anything from this lynnwood location. read more

GROSS INCOMPETENCE. We ordered carpet and had specific installation instructions. We went over them MULTIPLE times with the salesperson, Joan. She said she understood, would have their best installer assigned and it would be done as specifically requested. She even had to verify it could be done as we requested before we ordered and paid for carpet. She confirmed it would be installed as we requested. On the day of installation, a crew arrived different than she had said and the carpet had been cut completely wrong which resulted in multiple seams that should not have been. As it was raining, all our furniture was outside under tents, and we had no choice, they went ahead with installation. We were given an approximately 25% refund because of their screwup but our beautiful expensive carpet looks awful because there are seams in highly visible places where there were supposed to be none. He was really nice but I still haven't heard from Great Floors - no call, email, letter, follow-up whatsoever. As far as Customer Service is concerned I think that's a No-No and a definite sign that 1.) they don't want my business or 2.) they don't have enough people. We took a chance and drove up to Lynnwood after absolutely terrible service and a snobbish attitude at the SODO location on 1st Ave. BOY WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Cathy gave us great service from the start. We knew sort of what we wanted - a combination of luxury vinyl plank and carpet to replace the seriously old wall-to-wall carpet throughout our condo. Cathy walked us through several options and was very clear that supply could be an issue with some products because of the COVID renovation boom. The carpet was no problem, and she was able to get the LVP we chose from another Great Floors location. The quote was spot on what we were hoping for and she even provided additional product details our HOA needed to approve the project. I want to give an extra shout out to the installation teams. These aren't your average Home Depot/Lowes labor-for-hire teams. The LVP installation was complicated because the previous owner had glued cork under all the carpeting on the first level. (Seriously, glue was slathered everywhere.) It was a mess. It took extra time and a lot of cleanup, which we were prepared for, but Greg and his team did a brilliant job AND got done within the construction window for our building. The carpet installation was one-day breeze in comparison. To top it all off -- Cathy found us some extra savings at the end of the project! We love her! We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Lesson learned: If you use GreatFloors and want to be treated like a real customer, avoid the downtown store and drive out to Lynnwood. read more

I am really confused by the low ratings here and can only assume they are fakes. I have been to several area stores and am delighted with this one. The quality is MUCH better than Home Depot, Lowes or Pro Source at better prices.. They have a good showroom. They have some flooring, etc in stock and Ibrahim went very far out of his way to help me with vinyl flooring. I had already bought my carpet at a well known store (I just moved here) and then saw a better quality carpet at a much lower price at Great Floors. That wasn't fun. I was hindered somewhat by the COVID rpoblem and couldn't get into all places. I might add that I was a property manager for 20 years and know flooring! read more

I went here shopping for hardwood floors. The store was absolutely messy with many samples scattered on the floor and no organization. It seemed there was plenty of people working there, I counted at least 5, but felt they were avoiding me. I had to wait 20 minutes for one staff to be finished, with only 2 other customers in the store. There is little pricing on their products (just a couple with stickers), and to get pricing you had to get sales person to check the computer to make quotes. The pricing was cheap for some floors (Mirage), but checking reviews online, the brand is rated very poorly. I didn't want to come back to dig through piles of wood on the floor again. read more
