This is my second time here and it impressed me so much on my last visit that I decided to try it again today. This restaurant is family owned and operated so it has a small town feel which is nice to see, especially in a corporate area. The staff are welcoming and make you feel comfortable. I accidentally interrupted them as they were having their lunch break, but they didn't act as if I bothered them. Instead, they quickly got up, washed their hands and welcomed me and took my order. Service like this is sadly not common in this day and age and they were so welcoming- I will definitely be here again. This time I thought I would try something different from their menu so I also ordered a cup of their corn in a cup. Normally this comes with mayonnaise, cheese and spice however I do not eat anything with mayonnaise but they made that change for me and it looks delicious. I just tried it, and it tastes delicious, I think I might add this to my usual order. I ordered the milanessa torta because it reminds me of the tortas I had growing up. I just found this place by my office. I got the Cubana torta because the guy behind the counter ( Eloi) recommended it. He also talked me out of getting my sandwich to go. Right choice! My Torta experience has been taken to a new level. The bread is so good it's almost criminal. I had the 'Special' with a little Diablo sauce on the side. That sauce is beyond spicy. I'd driven by here for years thinking this was just a standard deli but they sell Mexican food! I had a half torta (love that you can buy by the half!) and a watermelon agua frescas. I would say the food here has a California fresh twist to it---think less sugar in the agua frescas and an emphasis on fresh ingredients. The restaurant is family owned and operated and you can tell they take pride in their food and customer service. Their patio is very dog friendly and they even brought out fresh water bowls for the dogs that came through. This was not what I expected based off of the name. When I think of a gotta shop I don't think fresh fruit and fancy coffee, but that's exactly what Green Deli has. We got there and were surprised to see all the options outside of just Tortas. They had açaí bowls, smoothies, a full coffee bar, and other sandwich styles as well. I had the breaded steak torta, my wife had the ham and cheese torta. One of the best parts was the kids meal! We got a turkey and cheese croissant kids meal and it comes with the whole croissant as a sandwich AND a fruit smoothie of your choice! The bread was strong enough to stand up to the torta but still soft inside to give way. I got a side of "Diablo" sauce and the owner warned me it was hot. He was not kidding! Use caution with this sauce. The torta comes with meat cheese lettuce tomato jalapeños and some come with a sauce. Looking to find something new in the Temecula/ Murrieta area for a family lunch or dinner. This is it!! Scrolling on Yelp for some options and this Green Deli Torta Factory pops up as an option. We all agree it's worth a try. Head over to a small corner shop across the street from the Olive Garden off of Overland Dr and close to the Red Lobster. The Deli gives off a cute and healthy green vibe. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. The family and staff were welcoming and very sweet. They went out of their way to help personalize everyones choices. They have so many wonderful options. The food was amazing! We tried many options and my favorite was the milanesa steak Torta. It had the perfect spice ratio with the Jalapeños, but it was not overwhelming. The bread was a large, fresh and toasted to perfection bolillo type bread. The veges and avocado were fresh and delicious. I have had many Torta's over the years and in different countries and I think this is now one of my favorite's. This Torta seemed like a bit of a gourmet type sandwich and less like the normal Torta you find at other Mexican restaurants. Nothing against the normal Torta, I love it as well. But this was light and had a perfect blend of ingredients that were fresh and seemed to blend together perfectly. They also had so many great hot and cold specialty drinks. We ordered quite a few options and they were all made fresh right there as you wait. This place is so good. I've ordered at least once before (through GrubHub) and this time I actually remembered to take pics before I ate all of my food. First of all, they give you a lot of food so you can share or eat it throughout the day as multiple meals. Today I got the "corn in a cup" which I think is called Esquites in Spanish. It's wonderful. They put just the right amount of Mayo and cheese and seasoning (I think Tajin). It was delivered piping hot and it was a great way to start my meal. I also ordered the veggie torta. The half size is perfect for lunch all by itself because the bread is pretty big. Speaking of the bread, it's really good. It's nice and fluffy and chewy on the inside and crispy / crunchy on the outside. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. I also got the fruit with cottage cheese. I really like that it came with honey and coconut and raisins. It also comes with granola and some kind of nuts but I didn't order those because I'm allergic. I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of fruits in the salad. I got some pear, banana, strawberry, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberry and pineapple!! That's a lot of fruit!!
