Fresh food. Chips (Free) are tasty and they have great salsa ($3). Get extra napkins, they give you one paper napkin and Mexican can be a little messy. I got three tacos on Bibb lettuce and they were good. The portion size for the tacos are a generous size. My husband had a bowl and it looked like dog food, but tasted good. The frozen $13 margarita was wrong (we said no salt), but it took a while to get so we didn't want to have to wait *again*. Fun vibe inside, service was a bit slow and patchy and unenthusiastic. Great food! Parking was tough but I got lucky. There are a couple of parking lots for the restaurants nearby but not many spaces. Service was decent. Not the friendliest service but not rude. This is my go to place for Taco Tuesday!! Their tacos are $2 on Tuesdays. They also have a dj which is nice. It gets pretty busy on Tuesdays so you either have to get there early to put your name down or just wait for a seat by the bar. If you are not a fan of fighting for a seat or waiting a long time for a table then I suggest you don't come here Tuesday nights because you are going to end up pretty disappointed. Now on to the food!!! I usually get their trio dip, margarita pitcher & 3 tacos. Their queso is *chefs kiss*. My favorite tacos are the KFT & Shrimp. All of their other tacos are VERY GOOD too but those are just my favorite. These are not traditional Mexican tacos but they have a nice twist! We were there on New Year's Day for lunch. The place was very busy, with live music and a bowl game on tv. I would say the majority of the diners were young professionals and they were a lively and loud group! Between the music and everyone chatting and socializing it was a little difficult to communicate with the server. We started with and order of chips and lime salsa. Very generous serving and free refills! There were three of us and we all ordered 3 different tacos. I enjoyed the shrimp, tuna and chicken tacos with a cucumber tomato salad. The other sides we tried were the black beans with rice and the plantains. Again everything was yummy and prices were reasonable. The tacos were good only thing I have is I'd go with beef the pork tastes off but other than that they were awesome the fries were some of the best I ever had they were super crunchy and I ate them until I couldn't anymore. Chips and queso was not bad but the cheese was kind of cold when they came out. The scene was cool it had murals inside and it has some LED's and cool lighting, it was definitely different from your average restaurant. Honestly incredibly dissatisfied this time around. Second time there. Prices are pretty good. Food was overall disappointing. The streak was weird flavor today. The KFC had no corn salsa. The mahi was dry. There was no verde or any salsa with it I guess unless you pay extra? So it was very dry. The asked for my ID when I picked up. I came here on a trip to Tampa. My experience was great. They offered outside seating with a great DJ and great service still. I love that they even have a set up there so the waiter doesn't have to make as much trips inside. I ordered the Shrimp Taco Bowl. Loved the portion and good taco bowl. I picked this bowl since it offered guacamole, black beans, tortilla strips, corn, Mexican rice and pica de gallo sauce. Very fresh. For my side, I ordered elote (corn). Best elote I had in a while. It didn't have the mayo taste. The cream used was so good. I almost wanted to order another one. I would definitely come here again. We came a little after 6pm on a Friday and it was an hour wait but my husband and I found a spot at the bar easily. Unlimited chips and salsa are just $3 and come out very quickly. Great prices on large margaritas during happy hour. We also got the happy hour tacos (3 for $10) and loved all of them. The tuna was my personal favorite. As it got closer to 7, it did get quite loud and crowded so avoid after a certain time if that's not your scene. read more

Finally tired Green Lemon! Went around 5:30pm on a Tuesday and only had a 10 minute wait. My husband and I were seated In the front next to a window. The music was good, food came out quick and our server constantly checked on us. The nachos were definitely my favorite, the best I've ever had. So much flavor! The only down side to the whole experience is there were a lot of flies. We were constantly fanning our food to keep them away, which quickly became annoying. Everytime I come I leave extremely full lol I need to learn to order less food. I love coming here, their food is always delicious and consistent. I'm only giving it 4 starts because their service is also always consistently not great. I keep coming back because the food is really good, but service could definitely improve. Everytime we come, we have to wait by the door for 5 or so minutes for someone to approach us and sit us somewhere. Just there on Friday for my birthday Brunch. Parking was very accessible. The atmosphere was pleasant. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable on what's on the menu. The salsa, guacamole and queso dip was great for starters. The Mango margarita was on point with the flavor and just enough liquor... I got the fish (mahi mahi) tacos on a lettuce wrap was ok. But, would have liked the fish a bit thicker and not as dry. I did try the tuna taco... and I highly recommend it. But in all we had a blast... Did not feel rushed. Such a fun name to start. This was my best friend Chad and I's first stop on our Tampa Nacho Tour. Together, we are the Nacho Bell Brothers. Prior to our visit, we did a little research on line and from what we read, Green Lemon's breakfast nachos were high on the list on things to try. We arrived at the restaurant the day before New Year's Eve which made it a Monday. When we walked in, they had just opened. We got sat right away and it wasn't long before the restaurant was packed with patrons! We had a great server. He asked us if it was our first visit. We explained that we had come from Hartford, CT to try the breakfast nachos. He let us know were only a brunch menu item and might not be available on a Monday, but they are basically their Loco Nachos on the regular menu. Bummer! He went in the back to the kitchen and checked with the chef. He came back out and said without eggs in house, the chef couldn't make them...but that the chef would go next door and purchase the eggs to make them for us. WOW! Talk about an awesome guest experience! When they were placed on our table, they looked amazing! Seasoned chips loaded with queso blanco, guacamole, jalapeño, cilantro, sour cream, pico de gallo, black bean puree and of course fluffy scrambled eggs! There are five major categories that we look for when we are reviewing nachos. 1. Presentation/Size (When it first arrives to the table, wow factor) 2. First Bite (Overall taste, spice, heat, uniqueness) 3. Cheese Factor by Alex (The more cheese the better!) 4. Chip Quality by Chad (Does the chip hold up?) 5. Service/Location (Staff, décor, ambiance, drink) Each of these categories will be rated with one or two maracas. In total, a nacho can receive up to ten maracas. A maraca, sometimes called rumba shaker, chac-chac and various other names, is a rattle which appears in many genres of Caribbean and Latin music. It is shaken by a handle and usually played as part of a pair. We thought maracas would be a great symbol to show the excitement in each of the above five categories. 1. Presentation- check out the picture..wow! Definitely two maracas there! 2. The first bite was great! It had a little bit of each topping on it and looked very consistent as each bite after continued. It didn't crumble or fall apart. All good signs of a great nacho! It had a great spice with the jalapeños, pico and cilantro. Since it was breakfast for us, the eggs made it such a delicious way to start the day. Two maracas! 3. Down south, it's less about the melted shredded cheese and more about the cheese sauce. The queso blanco at Green Lemon was perfect. Thick, creamy with a little bit of a kick. I love cheese and there was queso blanco right down to the last chip. Shake those maracas if you have them. Definitely need a pair for this queso blanco! 4. Chad loves a solid chip. One that can hold all the ingredients and ultimately stay that way until the last bite. These chips did just that. Seasoned, solid and strong. A great crunch and flavor. Two maracas for sure here! 5. Local art, live DJs, and house made margaritas. Bright, vivid and fresh are all words we would use to describe the ambiance. Check out the pay phone by the bathrooms and the ceiling art is amazing! I tried the margarita and it was so thick and ice cold that is was giving off steam. Couldn't ask for a better margarita at 11:30 AM. Hey- we were on vacation! The fact that the menu item we were looking for wasn't available and the chef made it happen--bust out those final two maracas! Our lunch ended with a visit from the manager checking in about how our first experience accompanied by a complimentary churro dessert. Could it get any better?! Overall, this was an amazing way to start the day and the first day of our vacation. You have to try Green Lemon when you are in the Tampa area. Parking was easy in their side lot. Service was fast and friendly, and the breakfast nachos were the bomb! Make sure to go on a weekend for them though! Green Lemon receives a full ten maracas! I've visited Green Lemon often in the past and have always enjoyed their food so I ordered food to be delivered at home. I ordered a bowl with Brussel Sprouts, plantains and a quesadilla. When the food arrived I noticed a major stain on the container for the plantains, I was disappointed with the presentation and was concerned that the food was tampered with so I didn't eat the plantains. The quesadilla was delicious and tasted great. The brussel sprouts were burnt and tasted charred and terrible. The meal was not edible as the brussel sprouts was one of the main ingredients. Where to begin with the green lemon... It's almost like two restaurants and one depending on the time of day. We are regulars on Sunday after church and it's quiet and quaint and there's usually a young lady playing a soft guitar and singing. We never have a problem getting a table no matter the size of our party. Dinner time is a other story. It's like the green lemon transforms into a nightclub! The restaurant is full of college kids drinking, having a great time and you can barely hear yourself talk and the wait for a table can be in excess of 30 minutes. Regardless of the time of day the food is always spot on!
