The food was amazing, service was speedy, and the ambience was total diner vibe. We enjoyed our food and our time at the free light diner

The service was absolutely impeccable. And the food was completely to die for. The omelettes were massive, flavorful, and rich. The hashbrowns were so crispy it almost made me weep. It's classy and fun and lovely. First time going, plan to come back often.

Their menu is what brought us here. They have multiple options for breakfast sides, and that's what got me excited. I ordered the Mediterranean eggs with their steel cut oatmeal, plus toast. I enjoyed it. My man ordered scrambled eggs with pancakes. His pancakes were nice and chewy, but he loved the sausage links they served. They serve big mugs of coffee, which felt cozy to sip from. Service was fine after we were seated. They have an awkward entrance up the stairs (not the ramp doorway) and a bar at the front, but no one working in the front to greet guests so we stood there for a good while before the young lady noticed us standing there. We grabbed breakfast on a Monday morning at around 9:45 a.m., and no one paid attention to us waiting by their sign that said "wait to be seated." Cute retro diner themed restaurant.

A must stop if you're in town during Breakfast hours! Delicious food at a good value and exactly what you'd expect. The environment is good old American vibes as well. The staff is courteous and give off the vibe that they're all happy to be there! Would recommend!

faithful 50's diner but booths springs are saggy - collapsed -lack of upkeep -sitting height too low for tables - customer experience?

Earnest, eager staff. Need more training. Place seems a bit tired. Menu good with lots of comfort foods yet the food product sourcing is middling quality and kitchen team doesn't seem to have great skill or consistency.

Not greeted just seated, we felt uncomfortable sitting in the middle of the restaurant floor so the MANAGER (she helped us the whole time) sat us all the way in the back. My fiancé and I waited 10min for sodas when she was talking our orders, she was going to SKIP my fiancé ALL TOGETHER until he said "oh i will be ordering as well." The food was mediocre. My eggs were supposed to be over easy and were waaaay to runny and his were RAW! When I let her know she said they would "fire it again" but given the treatment we have been shown I decided to ask for the check. This place has a CERTAIN demographic they cater to and NEVER AGAIN will we go.

Good food good service and cool diner feel. A nice little spot in the Viking town of Poulsbo. Not too busy on a weekday. We showed up a little after 8am when they open but be careful if going on weekend, I hear if you show up after they open at 8 then there is a line!! I had their Migas plate as a burrito. It was good except I asked for no avocado and they still put it in. Not bad but I had to pick it out. Otherwise burrito was good. Wife had the florintine bene and added ham. She enjoyed it. Good spot with all you could want t form a diner Enjoy!

Build Your Own Omelet with Diced Red Potatoes & Sourdough Toast

My wife and I ate here for the first time today. I proclaim the meal I had as the best breakfast I've ever had in a restaurant or diner. Ever. The place is decorated in a '50s style with the usual touches and augmented by a great selection of late '50s R&R over the sound system. There's an espresso bar in the front opposite the entrance. The place was about half full when we walked in so we were quickly greeted and shown to our table by the friendly host. Our server was even friendlier as she gave us our menus. I chose the Build Your Own (4-egg) omelet and constructed it from bacon, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes. I chose red potatoes and sourdough toast as my sides. Coffee was brought to me inside of a cup the size of a, well, let's just say I've seen smaller tureens. Anyway--the food. The thick delicious omelet covered half the plate and was FILLED with long sections of perfectly cooked bacon, sliced button mushrooms, diced tomatoes. Now I'd expected grated Swiss cheese. Oh no, my friends, there was something like 2-3 long slices of Swiss cheese extending across the entire omelet. I've never seen such an abundance of ingredients inside an omelet. The red potatoes were served diced and grilled and filled the other half of my plate. My wife ordered the Green Light Garden Scramble which was which was a two-egg scramble with veggies (including spinach and zucchini) and cheddar, served with cut up fruit (pineapple, cantaloupe and honeydew) which she proclaimed delicious and, along with her toast, almost too filling. She gave me a taste--which I liked--but I had my own deelish egg monster to carve through and enjoy. Great staff, wonderful food with HUGE portions. We'll definitely be returning to order from the Lunch menu. The Green Light Diner is an emerald gem of a place in Poulsbo.

Great little diner. Doesn't looks like much from the outside, but it's a fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Service and food were great.

Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Our server, Jennifer Burnett, was noticeably warm and attentive to another group nearby, but with us, the service felt dismissive and disengaged. For example, my husband ordered an Aperol spritz, and when they were out, we substituted Campari--but what arrived resembled a raspberry sparkling water, not even close to what Campari tastes like. When we brought it up, the response felt very brushed off. It's disappointing because the setting and food have so much potential, but service matters. I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere in Poulsbo--there are plenty of great spots along the main strip that offer both good food and a better overall experience.

This review will be a bit long, but I feel it's important to acknowledge when businesses go well above and beyond... into orbit in this case. Not only did they work to exceed expectations, but to set the ultimate standard for customer service and to demonstrate a commitment to caring for people beyond the customer-business relationship. This post is also a message both as an endorsement for diners, but also an advisory to every other business in this county. Take note - this is a roadmap for how you win forever customers: Last Saturday, my daughter got married in Poulsbo, in a ceremony that involved guests from Alaska, California, and Colorado. On the Sunday morning afterward, my wife Gayle and I threw a brunch celebration for our out of town guests as a thank you for making the journey for our daughter's special day. We made the reservation back in February in order to ensure they would have room for 20+ guests. At some point between then and now, Sully's decided to stop serving brunch. We didn't need to be their problem. It would have been easy to call or email us and let us know that our plans would have to change... with sincere apologies and an explanation as to why - blah blah blah, and with enough notice to get a reservation elsewhere, maybe. They didn't. In fact, they didn't even tell us they'd stopped brunch service. Some of our guests were calling us and asking: "Hey, Google says they're closed. Are you sure about this?" We didn't know, but figured we'd show up and find out. Instead, Sully's made sure to have enough staff a few hours early on Sunday, enough food, broke out the old brunch recipe book and dusted it off, and cleared the patio and set it up. All of that work just to ensure our guests had brunch. And a fabulous time. This was solely for our benefit. They weren't going to make a lot of money on just our party. Truth be told, they might have even lost some on it. They could have just shrugged us off. But they honored their commitment, even though it was a hassle, and a lot of extra work. Even though it meant knowing they'd have to special order food just for us, even though it meant more expense. And - not to belabor the point - they trusted US to honor *our* agreement to come. They hadn't taken a deposit. We could have ghosted them, especially if we'd believed Google's page saying they were closed. After all, we were strangers to them. But they treated us like family. And then... ...they crushed it with the food, the drinks, the service. They setup a special U-shaped table, complete with linens and flowers, and showcased a view of the Duwamish Sea that is unmatched in Kitsap County dining. I'd list all the food items and give a review - each one a culinary gem. But that would be cruel. I'd be bragging about food we had that won't be available to the community at large again (unless they bring back brunch... pretty please). No, what I wanted to call out was how deeply touched my wife and I were at their willingness to honor their promise, our reservation, and then go the extra mile to make it special. They didn't have to. But they did. And our guests were incredibly impressed, both with the food and the service. Thank you, with our whole heart, to the people of Sully's... from the owner on down to the staff. You made our day so very special. And while they may not serve brunch anymore... I urge you to go there for lunch or dinner. Support a restaurant that demonstrates loves for its community through its actions, not just words or fancy FB posts. And get the wings! (My personal fave) You won't regret it. Cheers to you, Sully's! We'll be diners with you for life.
