I was looking forward to trying this place out since I'm usually game for healthier food. This location is in a shopping area with a supermarket and a bunch of other smaller businesses with a spacious parking lot. Our party came here and tried out 4 orders and below is a summary of the consensus feedback from the group. 1) calamari burrito - we ordered this specifically with the calamari and sauces on the side but the calamari got added into the burrito anyways. The burrito was overall ok and had a sweetness to it, not something we'd reorder. 2) salmon salad - one piece of the salmon was undercooked and was still translucent, there was a slightly fishy smell to the salmon which took away from the enjoyment of the meal, although we liked the salad (minus the salmon) most out of all the dishes we tried 3) vegan burger - not sure about the appeal on this dish. We had asked for all sauces on the side but the chipotle bbq sauce got added anyways so between that and the caramelized onions there was a sweetness in the burger that we didn't care for, 4) surf and turf rice bowl - For a healthy dish, it tasted too oily and that took us by surprise since the oiliness overpowered the dish. 5) Also ordered 4 lemonades and requested all of them withOUT ice. They all came out WITH ice. We ended up just asking them to exchange one of them since we didn't want to hassle with exchanging all of them. We got the sense the lady who brought our drinks seemed a bit annoyed at having to redo the one drink. We could have returned the orders that didn't come out correctly, however, at that time, we decided to just go with the flow and not bother. In this case, the order not being prepared according to the request was not that big of a deal for us because no one in our group had food allergies. However, I would advise that the kitchen be more careful about preparing meals exactly according to the order because it could be detrimental in a case where someone has allergies. To be honest I've never been so disappointed with a meal. My salmon tacos had zero flavor, I couldn't even tell I was eating salmon. My sons tofu and rice also had zero flavor and the tofu was breaded and fried into tiny chewy squares that he couldn't even chew. Complete waste of my time & money. read more

The staff here seems like they don't really care all that much. I ordered two soups, one to go without cilantro and one for here with no special instructions. Both soups were packaged up to go and both soups had cilantro. Not the end of the world, but this goes to show how important it is to listen to your customers' order! I personally love the Protein Scramble and the Grass Fed Burger accompanied with the Sweet Potato Fries! My daughter likes the Tofu Bowl (Vegan minded) and also the Sweet Potato fries too! So I will start with the good. I love their lunch/dinner and the baked goods. But we went for breakfast for the first time today and it was NOT good. I ordered the blueberry waffle and it had a sour taste. NOT GOOD AT ALL. So then I order the chilaquiles and it was just as bad. It was bowl of soup basically. Coffee was like muddy water. This place is one of my go-to's! I love the variety on the menu and the combination of ingredients is awesome! They've got some delicious bowls, wraps and melts among other items but every bite is a mouthful of flavor and texture!! If you're looking for a plain (boring) burger, this ain't the place! I also really enjoy the outdoor patio. My daughter can run around and play with chalk while we enjoy our meal. I recommend the spicy surf and turf bowl with a cucumber mint lemonade. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, specifically the Brea location. The food is consistently delicious (enough to take home for a second meal/snack later), it is fairly priced, and the service is outstanding. They have a great selection of gluten-free and vegan options, particularly their GF blueberry muffin, which we can't get enough of. The restaurant here is super clean and nice. The aesthetic is cute and you can bring your pupper outside on the patio! I usually get the Caesar Chicken Wrap or the Grilled Cheese with Tomato soup - though today I ordered my food through postmates (so I couldn't have restaurant fix it) and the tomato soup was very greasy and didn't taste a thing like tomato soup, I stopped eating it after 3 bites cause I started to feel sick. I was excited to try this place since I am a vegetarian. They have both meat and non meat options like avocado or crispy tofu. I got the Miso Bowl with crispy tofu. It was very disappointing. I wanted to share it with my son but the bowl was too salty and spicy though it was not marked as spicy on the menu. I isolated the spiciness to the broccoli and the overly salty flavor to the tofu. There was no noticeable miso flavor and the rest of the bowl was pretty bland which ended up being a good thing since my taste buds were overpowered by just salt and spice. Not flavorful at all. I really wanted to love this place. I gave 3 instead of 2 stars because the decor is bright and cheerful, there is a nice outdoor patio, and plenty of games for kids.
