Great cleaners for the $1/pound level of laundry service. However, never ask them to get a stain out of that prized piece in your wardrobe: they always miss it. Ask them to do it again: stain is still there. I think they basically just don't treat individual stains, even when you pay for their highest priced dry cleaning option. They'll flag it, tape a yellow sticky on it, tell you they'll attack it, and then... nothing. My suggestion: use some oxi clean spray at home, and then wash in a regular laundry load (and greeness has a great price for that!) PS can someone please convince them to stay open past 7pm? I mean really, who can make it home from work to pick up their clothes by 7pm!? read more

As Cleaners- great service, fast, friendly and if you feel like spoiling yourself and also letting them wash your clothes you'll feel like a queen. I LOVE the ladies that work there too. They're so cute and friendly. As Alterations- go to Paragon Cleaners. It's more professional. Greeness can get it done, no question, but it's not up to my standards. I guess I'm an alterations snob :) I changed my review from a 4star to a 3star because I just picked up some dry cleaning (2 shirts and 1 pants) and it seemed a bit expensive. Plus, the shirts smelled like dry cleaning...uck. They also turned one of my brand new sheets pink, just one so I don't even have a matching set anymore. It's taken them 3 weeks to resolve the situation too... sigh read more

If you do NOT care about your garments, this is the place for you. I live in a household of 5 people and we used to use Greeness as our cleaners because they were four buildings down (purely a matter of convenience). We recently as a group decided that all the headaches they caused were not worth our patronage. Here are the issues we've had. 1. Lost Garments: They have repeatedly lost items that we drop off four laundry as well as expensive dry cleaning garments. There system will even say that the ticket is still open and they can't find our stuff. 2. Poor Service: The ticket says when you can pick up your drying cleaning. Over 50% of the time, they have not had all our garments ready for the pickup date that *they* designated. When you're expecting a garment for a particular event and it's not ready or are leaving to go out of town, this will case major headaches. 3. Bad Dry Cleaning: We've taken garments before that were previously dry cleaned by them to other dry cleaners who have been able to remove things they weren't. 4. Piss poor Customer Service: "Old cute lady" should not be the qualifier for good customer service. I had a blanket dry cleaned there that I was told would be ready Monday. I came Monday night to pick it up and the attendant couldn't find it. I complained and she called the owner. The owner called me the next day asking me what my problem was and that the blanket was there. Uhm. . .last time I checked I didn't run her business. You shouldn't blame a customer if your own attendant can't find your stuff even if it's ready. It's not ready if it's not in my hands. Overall, you'll love this place if you don't like your garments! read more

Just moved to the area - first time I go there they lose half my clothes. They recovered about half of the clothes they lost after I waited a week. What is worse is that they made no effort to remedy the situation. I am now out half of my sheets and some other missing clothes. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the million other cleaners in the area. read more

So granted I can't say that I have any REALLY good reasons to love this place, theyre downstairs, reasonably priced (ok not as cheap as I remembered SF dry cleaning, but not $$$ or anything!), super nice, and only take a few days to wash anything! The women who work are so incredibly nice and friendly (at least the 2 that have been there the longest). They did raise the wash-n-fold a dime/LB, but that's not affecting this reviewer... I moved about 6 blocks away and still give them my business, so that should say something. read more

This is the least competent cleaners I have used during my 40 years of S.F. residency. I tried Greeness Cleaners once and they lost part of my order. Francis, the clerk, initially blamed the dry cleaner to whom they farmed out my dry-cleaning, for losing my linens. She then assured me that Green Cleaners would reimburse me for my loss. She told me she would call back within a few days but I never heard from her. After two futile personal return visits, I was instructed to call Cathy, "the owner." Cathy accused me of not counting my laundry correctly. She suggested that I should have removed the packaging and checked its contents before having left the store. I am not angry, just frustrated over losing my linen and having to replace it my cost . Nor will I take these Incompetents to Small Claims Court. But, I think the public should be forewarned about bad businesses in our community. And, Greeness Cleaners is one! read more
