Patrick is awesome!!!! I brought my 2019 4Runner in with a grinding noise in the rear ended. I had a lift put on by 4 Wheel drive parts in Marietta a year ago. However, I have been back to 4 Wheel drive on six separate occasions and to Toyota on 4 occasions. Toyota dealer continued to tell me that it was the lift and take it back to 4 Wheel drive. In doing so, 4 Wheel drive continued to blame the Toyota dealership. I was frustrated and very upset! My 4Runner has less than 22000 miles and sits in my driveway because it sounds like a 1918 farm truck squeaking, grinding and popping when I drive it. I stopped by to ask Patrick to take a look and he immediately stated it had the wrong lift!!! After referring me to Toytec Lifts and speaking to Hugo with Toytec, I ordered a new left and had it shipped to GAS. Patrick installed the new lift and my 4Runner looks and rides AWESOME!!! No more grinding, squeaking or popping! It's amazing what a genuine and honest businessman can do for an individual who was taken advantage of by a "big name" company. From out of state passing through with brake failure on my pick up. I didnt have the faintest idea where to go. Auto shops everywhere. Limped into an auto shop on same street as Greer Automotive. Heard a bunch of double talk from the service guy and decided to limp a little further. Found Patrick at Greer's Automotive just down the street. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts. Patrick was accommodating, professional, and straight talking. Long story short, it took twice the parts to repair the brakes that I anticipated. Now the good (great) news. The job was half the price I anticipated. It was so fair that I tried to tip him for the great service but he refused. Bottom line, family run business, squeaky clean shop, mechanics that tell you what they found and what is the most economical way to make repairs without telling that you need hundreds of dollars of repairs just to get back on the road. If you want "a friend in the business" put a Google star on your map next to Greer Automotive so when you need a place to take your car or truck so it will be easy to find. Before the review I have one thing to say. When you walk into GAS the first thing you notice is a clean and tight shop floor. Dealerships don't even keep there work spaces this tight. That sets the tone for a VERY VERY professional shop. Patrick and his team are absolutely incredible. I am very skilled mechanically and I used to be a technician at a reputable Toyota dealership. Because of this experience none of my vehicles have every been anywhere outside of my driveway for any kind of maintaince or custom work. After competing the Red Clay Rally in 2017 I met a few guys that highly recommended GAS/Patrick. As life goes on you naturally have less and less time for your hobbies and the little vehicle maintance items. I decided to give Patrick a shot at aligning my vehicle after installing a lift. His team was so professional and knowledgeable that I have since returned multiple times!! I have sent my fathers truck and my sisters Miata in for all kinds of work. Patrick's shop came highly recommended, so when I was finally ready to lift my 2005 4Runner Sport 4x4 by about 3", GAS was the only shop I considered. He sold me the actual Toytec lift for cheaper than I could get myself online, and the labor was very reasonable. I brought in my own basic bullbar and Spidertrax wheel spacers for them to install also. I wanted a few suspension related items checked out, and was told they didn't need replacing, when they could have easily told me otherwise. Most importantly, they did a stellar job with the install and the 4R performs great. I thought there was a lot of rubbing at first, but it was just against my front mud flaps, and when I ripped them out the new system is quiet and smooth. This is the repair/ custom shop you've been looking for. They'e the only ones I'd trust with my Toyota. My third gen 4runner suspension was clapped out, worn and tired and these guys gave my 230k truck new life. They've replaced damn near every suspension component. They stand by there quotes, never try to sell you on things you don't need and provide professional work that they stand by. When I bought the truck I never thought it would ride as well as it does now. If youve been looking for someone to trust your Yota with in north ga look no further. After many conversations with the owner I've learned they only use oem parts or better. Yesterday, I took my Buick Encore to Buick and they wanted to charge me $75 just to diagnose what was wrong with my car even though I did not have this problem until after Buick had replaced the turbo on my car. I called Greer Automotive this morning and they said to bring it over and they'd take a look at it for me. When I asked how much they would charge to diagnose it, Patrick laughed and said they don't charge to diagnose. They were wonderful to me! They fixed my AC - which was way low on refrigerant that Buick had caused when they replaced the turbo. The mechanic at Greer Automotive was very knowledgeable and very kind, and so is the owner! I will be taking my business, my daughter's business, and my husband's business to Greer Automotive from now on! read more

Believe the other reviews, this place is the real deal. My old truck wouldn't start and I had towed to Greer. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the shop. They were able to look at my truck that day, and it turned out to be caused by a loose electrical wire. They fixed it for no cost. Really?? In 2018 there is still a place that doesn't charge you an hour of labor for a two minute job?? I even tried to pay for their time. Can't guarantee that kind of service for everyone, but Patrick clearly struck me as a straight shooter. When I took the same truck for another issue, the work was done promptly and very reasonably priced. I am so glad I found a local (and locally owned) auto repair shop I can trust. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! Patrick the owner is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Being a knowledgeable guy when it comes to cars, it's easy to know when someone is feeding you BS. Greer Automotive isn't that place. They check your vehicle out and let you know exactly what's going on. No nonsense of "well your mileage is this, so your car needs A, B, and C done." One of the biggest issues people have is finding someone who will be honest and truthful when it comes to car repairs. Greer is one of these places. This is my go-to for anything from basic repairs, alignments, and maintenance. I knew Greer Automotive Services was where I would take my car from now on when I spoke with Patrick for the first time! He was extremely informative, patient, and respectful every time we spoke and that's hard to find when you're a young female in need of car repair. I paid the same price for my repair that I found quoted online so I knew it was fair, but Patrick was also willing to offer advice and suggestions that other places probably wouldn't take the time to explain. My first time here was two weeks ago, and it was a great experience. Patrick was honest and straightforward, qualities I am unaccustomed to seeing at automotive service shops. He diagnosed the problem with my 1999 Sienna as being a bad starter and ended up charging me $7 less than he quoted on-line. I had to have the vehicle towed-in and needed to get to Athens from Woodstock that afternoon. No problem at all, and no BS about a bad flywheel or any other fabricated issue. I met Patrick and the GAS crew 8 months ago when I had my new 2018 Toyota 4Runner in for some additional off road modifications. These guys are great, incredibly honest and excellent attention to detail that goes well with my OCD Recently I need some overdue maintenance on my beloved 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited. I am very pleased with the work that Patrick, the owner, has done on my trucks. I've had an alignment, balance, and rotation done on my 2012 Toyota 4Runner that has a 2 and a half inch lift kit on it, and he has also helped install custom headlights. Patrick has also installed a stereo system in my 1995 Toyota 4Runner. On my mother's 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, he performed an alignment, balance, and rotation. Not sure why or what you are up to , discriminating this business for your personal gain? Maybe you are getting paid to write bad reviews. Maybe you see the pictures on social media and assume the handicap spaces are blocked? What you see are yellow lines on the pavement. Yellow means do not park here because the garage door is open. Patrick is amazing! I went to two different places to have my car inspected and get a quote for the work that needed to be done.
