For years, I had steel cut oatmeal for breakfast. Then one day, I tried a Gregory's Coffee Vegan Bar to have with my coffee. Since then, I've had breakfast at the closest Gregory's, wherever I am. It's a motivating factor in getting out of bed. I can't wait to bite into the compressed bar of dried fruit, nuts and other stuff. I'm not vegan and it isn't the healthiest item (240 calories and has corn syrup), but I'm hooked. I love the music they play at their stores and actually enjoy their coffee drinks. I had bought a thermos from another location by broke the top. The company was so nice to send a replacement top to pick up as it wasn't available online and I LOVE my Gregory's coffee thermos bc it's thin and I can carry it around easy. I have regular size female hands and this was the only thermos I found that was really comfortable to hold and easy to grip. I was walking through the city with a couple friends and as we were walking we stopped by for a cup of coffee. As soon as we entered we were delightfully created by the staff. I have never felt so welcomed by a group of people. My drink was delicious and my friends could not stop talking about the salted caramel cold brew. I order Gregory's Daily for my entire office. We all loved the rich coffee and menu items. The service started out well in the beginning and just plummeted. We have an issue each day and I'm giving up on this location. The phone is in the basement so you can't even call to get updates on your orders and NO COMMUNICATION if they are out of items. The worst part is I have gone in person to confront the order issues a few times and am always given a "I'm sorry that happened to you". And "maybe we just didn't hear your calls" but how could they with the phone in the managers office in the basement? Not me nor my office will be ordering from this location again. I went here 3 times on 3 different days and had 3 different experiences. First time, I tried the pumpkin smash and it was delicious! Tasted like pumpkin pie in a cup. Chai tea was also yummy! 2nd time I visited they were out of pumpkin smash & the vanilla latte was not good. 3rd time I visited, I ordered 2 pumpkin smash and one came out with no oat milk..... and the other was not good. This is where I get my breakfast and Coffee. I really like Gregory's coffee's pastry options and these are what I've tried so far: Vegan Bar, PeanutButter Banana Power Ball, Chia Power Ball, Banana Walnut Bread, and Doughnut. (They have carrot breads, pumpkin muffins, blueberry muffins, brownies, variety of cookies etc.. so many options!) Vegan Bar: Supposedly 150cal Vegan Bar (which I believe will have much higher calorie counts) is very healthy and full of good nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. This bar is very filling (even good substitute for lunch/dinner!) and energizing as well :) Power Balls: Strong in PeanutButter flavors, Gregory's power balls are great treats for filling snacks. I like to have one of them for breakfast with my iced coffee. What is special about this particular Gregory's is that it's located near NYU and Washington Square Park (good for students). It may not necessarily have huge study space but this beautifully decorated cafe (with lots of greens and lights) offers relaxing environment. read more

I'm a very loyal customer to this coffee shop as well as all of my coworkers who work next door. I spend atleast $70 dollars a week on coffee and usually the service is really good. Unfortunately I had an unpleasant run in with their regional manager Lori. I wasn't purchasing coffee at that moment and according to the customer service team I cannot be denied a place to sit especially if there's amble seating in the store. I had an entire long table to myself. Lori greeted me pretty loudly as I walked in I said hello and sat down to wait for my shift that was starting in 10 minutes. She came over to the table stood in front of me, curtly asked me to take my headphones off and told me if I wasn't purchasing that I needed to leave. I explained to her that I shop there every single day and sit inside every morning. Her response was "interesting, you still have to leave". She then stood in front of my table until I gathered my things and exited the store. It was an embarrassing and incredibly micro aggressive exchange that I believe was racially motivated. I as well as my coworkers won't be shopping here again well take the couple hundred dollars a week we spend at Gregory's collectively somewhere else. read more

Specifically ask for my beverage to be prepared without ice. Was told I'd be charged an additional fee for no ice which I agreed to. When I received my beverage, lo and behold, there was ice in it. When I pointed this out to the cashier, she replied, "well, we basically filled the cup." I said, okay, then why was I charged more? Plus, I didn't want my beverage cold. She actually ignored me and began speaking to other customers. I waited it out and once others had been served asked for the difference back as there was ice in the beverage which I specifically ordered with no ice. She and the other barista refused to return the difference. I told them I would expect better having worked in customer service myself. I wish I had had the presence of mind to simply ask for a complete refund at the time since I had already paid $6 for a measly 8oz beverage. I'm disgusted with the dishonesty and lack of customer service at this location. I definitely will not be patronizing again. read more

I was super excited when i heard they were opening this location. I work on the same block as Gregory's and we dont have many spots like these around. Ive been here a few times because i really like their muffins but every time i go in there the service is terrible. You say hi nobody answers, You say thank You after you buy something and they dont even look at you. Especially a short guy thats always at the register in the mornings.
