I used to dread going to mechanics. I found Greg's Orange Auto from a friend that only had great things to say about the quality of service and how much she trusted JR and knew he would do a great job. I had my brakes done here earlier this year and she was right! I'm back getting my starter replaced, as I'm writing this review. JR took the time to explain the process and what he would be doing. Every interaction, from the customers that come in, the customers that call to his mechanics working with him, he is so respectful and so nice to everyone! I brought my RAV4 to Greg's Orange Auto to get a second opinion. This was after I received a quote for some service that "needed" to be done on my car. From the start JR was fantastic. He looked at the quote, did diagnostics and then explained that not everything needed to be done immediately. It is not often that I give a 5-star rating to an automobile repair shop that didn't fix my truck, but my experience is the reason you want to work with these folks. I had a 15-year old Ford F-150 which was making ticking sounds similar to issues associated with lifters, oil issues, or a timing chain. My normal mechanic referred me to Greg's Orange Auto and I had my truck towed to their shop. "JR" did an amazing job of keeping me informed on the progress and always called when me he needed to perform more analysis due to the possible severity of the repair. Long story short - my engine (110,000 miles) was shot. JR spent the next two days looking for possible used and re-built engines. By the time I had all my information on the cost to make the necessary repair, I elected to salvage the truck given the cost/benefit of repair and truck value. JR and his father, were very helpful in finding a reasonable salvage value for the truck Like I said - it is not often that I provide a 5-star rating for someone that didn't "repair" my truck, but the clarity, honesty, and assistance they provided were the best. read more
