He calmed down the infestation worries, gave some ideas on how to keep the flies away from the front door and did a full service on the property. We were probably Joe's most annoying customers of the week because of how squeamish we were about what got stuck in the glue traps and he really went above and beyond. There I was, Sunday night on March 8, 2026, when I heard scratching and movement noises close to my cabinets in the kitchen. I made phone calls for the next 45 minutes, and then I called this business and left a message at 10:25 p.m., then 10 minutes later, I got a call from Julio! He made an appointment for the morning which is today. He gave me a really good price, a 6-month warranty, and he showed me photos of all the areas of issue at my home. ​When I looked at Yelp for Rodent Proofing Intelligence reviews only one "Three star review" was there & the good reviews were considered not to be relevant & were held out of a 5-star category... and all of these not relevant reviews were five star reviews! What's the reason we give reviews if it's not counted? I made a choice to choose a smaller company, someone that had excellent reviews, and someone that could do a good job for me. And I did that on the basis of reviewing the "Not recommended" section of yelp's review system. Again, I see a big problem with yelp. However, I am very happy with the service that was provided by Julio. So I ask people out there reading these reviews to consider a company, to maybe do what I did and take a look at all of the reviews whether recommended or not. Because I found that the reviews that Yelps said weren't acceptable, were exactly what made me make my decision to hire this company. Thank you so much for helping me, Julio. P.S. I do find that the reviews on Yelp mobile version, and the Chromebook version of Yelp are extremely different. We paid $900 for a termite treatment that didn't work - and they wouldn't honor the warranty…read more Hi-Tech did a spot termite treatment around a window in our home. Six months later I noticed more droppings and called Hi-Tech back. Their technician told me it was likely the house settling and nothing to worry about. When we opened up the window trim during a siding project, we found tons of live termites (see photo) - still within our 1-year warranty period. When I called the office, I was told the warranty only covered the "inside" of the window, not the outside. It is the same window and the same termite problem. They offered to come back out and inspect, but quoted another $900. No apology, no ownership of the fact that the original treatment hadn't worked. I didn't feel right paying again for the same issue - and for a company I couldn't trust to solve the problem. The inspectors themselves were professional and courteous. The office experience was not. I ended up hiring a different company who treated the problem thoroughly and has been excellent. I'd recommend Hi-Tech improve how they handle situations where a treatment doesn't work. A little accountability goes a long way.

There has been this persistent smell of rodent urine in one of our closets for literally decades, no matter what we have done. Not any more! I could not recommend Rywen Insulation more highly for rodent control work. We've had rodent control people here before, but never at the level that Rywen takes things to. They put in place genuine long-term preventative measures to keep rats and mice out, not just patching holes. And that has made all the difference. No more smell in our under-the-stairs closet! And, I'm not sure if it is always a part of their service, but they offered us a one-year warranty. Rats and mice did return --- probably due to a contractor leaving our crawlspace door open overnight with the lights on, several times (oops). But Rywen took care of the problem immediately, no questions asked and no additional money requested, for the entire year of the warranty. They aren't cheap. But they are soooo worth it.

Ten years ago, we had a major rodent infestation in our home (attic, subfloor and walls). These…read moreguys came out, sealed our home, cleaned the attic and subfloor areas, re-insulated and did not consider the job complete until there was no more evidence of the infestation. For the last 10 years, we have been rodent free. Recently we had major plumbing work done and some of the sealing work may have been compromised. We called The Original Rodent Proofers to come out and look at the prior job and tell us what needs to be done to re-seal the house. The inspector (Brandon) said that the plumbing contractor did a good job re-sealing but would look at each entry point and make sure that the job from ten years ago was still in good shape. This is being done at no charge since they stand by their work. These guys are a 5 star business.

I called around all the top reviewed places and decided on Original Rodent Proofing. They were…read morecompetitive, not the cheapest, but Shannon Lee sold me on their work, along with Brandon (owner's) call to check in and answer any questions. Their warranty on work done was another key factor. An electrician found a dead rat and droppings in the attic, so I needed clean up and rodent proofing. In the crawl space, a bunch of the ducts were unattached by wear and tear and plumbing work that had been done in the past (which I didn't know. No wonder my gas bill was so high over the winter!). Shannon and team cleaned everything up, sanitized, reattached the ducts and rodent proofed the whole house on the outside. Apparently the attic was vulnerable, as prior owners' foam had been chewed through in the eaves. After they were done they set traps which will be checked every few weeks. I will update if there are any further rodents but I am confident in the work by the company and team. I highly recommend this family owned company.
