My husband and I came to Griddlecakes for the first time. It was a good experience. The establishment is clean and the staff are attentive. The food is good brunch fare. I was celebrating a negative glucose test, and what better way to celebrate than carbs on carbs? My husband and I shared 2 dishes - the carne asada skillet and the lemon blueberry pancakes. If you check in on yelp, you also get a free buttermilk griddlecake, so we had that as well. The carne asada skillet was very delicious, and there was a huge helping of cheese and potatoes. I wish there was more carne asada. I asked for the eggs over hard (since I'm pregnant, I can't have raw eggs), which were cooked eggs over easy instead. Not a huge deal, but eggs aren't that hard to cook. The lemon blueberry pancakes were kind of disappointing. They didn't have a strong lemony taste. In fact, my husband and I both liked the regular buttermilk pancake more surprisingly. All in all, the brunch was good, but not mind blowingly good. Great place! We were lucky enough to arrive early enough that we didn't need a reservation, but it's probably a good overall recommendation. Most of us had some variant of eggs benedict -- no one had any complaints. I had the crab cake benedict and I was very happy. The menu says that they make the crab cakes in house and I believe it. Savory and loaded with crab. I tried my kids pancakes and they were fluffy and hot. We had two vegetarians in the party and both were happy with their options and meal choices. Very long wait time to receive food even though it didn't seem like they had too many customers at the time. Food was ok, gravy very bland, almost flavourless, coffee was very acidic. Received waters until right before paying. Had ate at this place before and didn't care for it so decided to try it again but still did not see the hype over the food here. Cafe style decor that is minimalist but cute. I felt a little bad arriving to Griddlecakes at the time we did because we arrived around 2:40, and they close at 3. The server was more than willing to seat us, so that was awesome. We were also the only customers in there. We placed our order and the server was soooo patient with us. Our food came out and my goodness, our eyes were happy to see our food but probably not as happy as our stomachs were about to be. I ordered a burger and she ordered some kind of skillet. Wifey and me tried out Griddlecakes today for breakfast. My wife ordered the Hamburger patty and over easy eggs with hash browns and sourdough toast. She said that the patty was really good and the portions were great. I ordered the Portuguese Sausage with scrambled eggs and hash browns and flared it up with some Tabasco sauce. The portions were great also but would have been over the top if rice was available. We then both ordered and shared a short stack of their famous "Monkey Business " pancakes. It was good . I've honestly haven't had a bad experience here. The first time I came here, I ordered the white chocolate raspberry pancakes and they were delicious! The raspberry drizzle definitely stole the show. The pancake of course was also soft and fluffy. The second time I went here, I went for the protein oatmeal pancakes with bananas, pecans, and cinnamon. I can't remember the name of the pancake but it was awesome! You don't have to compromise your diet as much. These pancakes were delicious and it reminded me of oatmeal cookies without the raisins! Which I fell in love with instantly. I love how a simple pancake can taste so yummy. Oh and I ordered the raspberry drizzle on the side cause why not? Apart from the yummy pancakes, the service is great! Nick is clearly a sweetheart and what seems to be either the owner or the manager here, was awesome as well. Just arrived from the airport and needed a good breakfast place. This location was the first spot that showed on google and decided to try it out. It was very clean and a lot of seating available. First time at griddle cakes. I believe this location is a bit smaller. It only had about 9 tables. But pretty busy inside. We dined in on a Sunday. Not a bad wait time though. They take down your name and number and call you in when your table is ready. Service is pretty fast, and the food came out even faster. We ordered the monkey pancake (something with peanut butter and banana), an omelet, and an egg Benedict. Portion sizes are huuuuge! Like for two. But I guess you get a bang outta your buck! Because we checked in through Yelp, we were able to get a free single buttermilk pancake. Our food came out hot and sizzling from the skillet. Everything was amazing!! We loved the buttermilk pancake and it satisfied our craving. The portions are also humongous and large enough to feed an army. It was just average. I judge a breakfast place based on how good the country fried steak is. Unfortunately my country fried steak here was very chewy and had a gristly texture. The gravy was just ok, not very flavorful. The pancake I got on the side was enormous and quite good. So I'd say if you wanted to go somewhere with awesome pancakes this is a good option. But I like more than just pancakes when I eat breakfast. Price was a little steep. Had a buy one get on free breakfast coupon and still ended up costing us 25$ with tip. Ok ok! So Griddle Cakes is killing the game with their 4 locations, I was in this side of town because of a Doctor appointment and I was starving afterwards! Me and my kiddo grabbed a couple of our favorite dishes, the chicken and waffle is my kids to go dish, and there's was good. He loves getting chicken wings with his waffles! Our breakfast was served promptly and was delicious. Coffee was refilled often. Often music in a breakfast cafe is on the safe side, easy listening. It consists of home style potatoes topped with thinly sliced steak sirlon with cheese and eggs however you like. This was probably the worst I've ever had. The steak had a weird taste to it. Like a meat gone bad? Potatoes were under seasoned, even ketchup couldn't save it. Only good thing was the scrambled eggs it came with. You also get a choice of toast or biscuit and gravy. I chose the biscuit. Honestly biscuit was good. My mistake with this was not asking for the gravy on the side. The biscuit was drowning in the gravy when I got mine. So I scrapped off all the gravy as best as i could and tried eating the biscuit without the gravy, because it was just way too much. Overall, I don't think I would come back. read more

I yelped good breakfast spots in the area and GriddleCakes pinged. I'm so happy that we made the tiny detour to stop in and have breakfast. The wait was about 15 minutes and there was only standing room inside because it was about 40 degrees outside! Pros: Price was just right for the amount of food you get.
