Oh yea. Finally a great donut. On the money and we'll worth the price. I had the Boston cream and it was a perfect donut. The coffee was great also. Came around here around 9 am and it was pretty empty. Only a couple mins passed by and there was a long line of people waiting outside. Got the Nutella flavor donut and it tasted delicious. The only thing is you don't have much time to look at the menu, people were waiting outside, it felt like I was in a rush. The prices are average in the Hamptons. Durning COVID, only a certain amount of people are allowed in the store. Overall I would come back to this place again. read more

Best doughnuts on the south fork. And the unsung hero of this place is their amazing coffee as well! My favorite donut here is the lemon poppy. Deliciously fluffy, and the perfect amount of sweetness so you don't feel like you hate yourself afterwards. We often make the trip to Sag Harbor just to come here in the morning! Fresh and tasty donuts are what's on offer here. Super fluffy and not too sweet which is the perfect combo in my opinion. The glazed wasn't drenched in icing and the chocolate had the right amount of choc goodness. The S'mores donut was considerably sweeter than the others but a big flavour coupled with a big smile on my face made this the pick of the bunch for me. I wish this place was closer to me, I try to get here about once a month and just realized I never left a review. As a coffee lover, their cold brew is amazing and the perfect compliment to the amazing donuts. Today I had the Nutella smore donut and I love how light and airy they are and it wasn't too sweet which is perfect in my book. While I love desserts, I'm not a fan of overly sweet stuff. Love that this shop is in Sag Harbor where I have so many happy childhood memories of and love stopping by each time I walk through town. Was such a great treat after paddle boarding this morning. This place is a unique addition to Sag Harbor. It has an antique feel and has a room to show you how the donuts are prepared. Nicoles family and I were looking for a donut place around the area and this was the closest. At the time we went, much of the selection was gone and the donuts were ok. There wasn't anything that surprised me nor spiked my interests in this place. It was a donut shop that looked cute. I got a green tea donut and mocha. Hi, I have been a long time Yelp lurker, but felt compelled to write a review for these guys, because the donuts are so good! They have awesome cake donuts, the kind I was used to growing up. But the real star of the show are the brioche donuts. These things are a work of art, light, pillowy almost, with really great toppings (thank you for not trying to pile a whole mess of stuff on top. I hate biting into a donut and having pieces of cereal or whatever fall all over the place). The coffee is great, I think it is from a third party, but whatever it was it was better than the stuff I usually get down the street. They also have a cool selection of cold beverages that I usually stock in my fridge at home (Recess, Oatly, etc). This place is really good. I've come here twice, once in the spring (Easter weekend 2019) and again the first weekend in November. We got an array of doughnuts, from plain glazed to apple cider. I also got the maple sea salt and others. The doughnuts always taste fresh and delicious, even if you're eating them a day later. This is one of the places that we will always top by when visiting the South Fork, and I'm so happy to have discovered this awesome, local, doughnut shop. read more

After hearing about it for so long I've finally made it to Grindstone Coffee. I ordered the honey lavender latte, iced with house made almond milk. I don't normally like almond milk in coffee but I was curious to try theirs and I was not disappointed. The milk was so creamy and the honey lavender notes were strong but not overbearing. The coffee didn't taste watered down either and kept me awake for hours after. Everyone working there was super friendly and informative and I really appreciate the shop's effort to be green by using paper straws. Next time I go back I'll be sure to try the donuts! read more

I was craving donuts for weeks, walking past Grindstone multiple times. Eventually I went in and purchased almost every different donut they had to offer. After getting back home, I was so disappointed in the lack of quality in all of the donuts (their iced coffee was really good though). Got there on a late Saturday morning and there wasn't a lot of choices in the case but they had lemon poppy and that was what I wanted so I was in luck. The cappuccino was great!!! They use Stumptown and I do love their coffee. The donut was good, crispy on the outside and tender layers inside. The lemon icing was very good, really lemony flavor. Since there wasn't a lot left and I wanted to take some back I asked if there were more coming? In about 20 minutes the young lady at the counter told me. We strolled around town and went back and sure enough there were more. We got chocolate Boston cream, Nutella Boston cream, cider donuts, classic glazed and peanut butter.. the cream in the Boston creams were really nice. Cute shop, great coffee, really good donuts and friendly service! The place is small there are 2 window areas you can sit at or go outside on benches. I heard the owner is Michael Symons son!!! I haven't had much donut experience, but so far, this is the best donut place I've ever been to. They use a different type of homemade dough that tastes AMAZING. This place also isn't too packed, so you can sit down and enjoy a donut in peace. The music is kind of loud, but it's not bad. The staff is polite and kind. To accompany your donut, you can have some coffee too! I've never tried the sandwiches here, but they do sell sandwiches! I would recommend coming here for a quality donut. Much better than dunkin' fonuts or 7/11. Adding to this review on a second day of going to grindstone, the owners adorable dog was in the shop and while you are peacefully eating a donut, you can pet the pup!! I assume this means you can bring your own dog in Grindstone, and this also means be weary if you have dog allergies. I also tried a sandwich, and it is delicious. You know what they say- "third time's a charm"! Not necessarily. Dear grindstone, don't you want me to want you? I came in this afternoon for a pick me up as sag town coffee was closed and my mrs really wanted a matcha. Got an iced matcha, small hot latte and on a whim, I decided to try their new to me offering of brioche sandwiches. I opted for the Lox. Matcha was not too sweet but not blended properly at all. There were still lumps of matcha powder floating around like asteroids in the milk. my poor mrs accidentally got struck by one as she sipped her sage green tea. The latte was lovely, I do have to say the espresso used was delicious. Now onto the brioche bun sandwich: I was looking forward to this- the sandwich I choose was the "lox" smoked salmon with cream cheese and red onions. As I bit into the sandwich I was greeted by the soft sweet pillowy brioche bun then a glob of cheese and smoked salmon. I loved the taste and texture of the bread but I think it's too sweet for the flavor pairing. The cream cheese was just there as an adhesive. The onions were non existent and the salmon fell short of being spectacular only because of what it had to work with! The sandwich needed a bit more crunch and brininess perhaps a bit more red onion, cucumbers and capers just to give it that umph. Who doesn't love a good doughnut! We picked up a dozen and they where delicious. Various fresh flavors even had some fresh fruit on it. Made me not feels so guilty after I had four and washed them down with some of their coffee which was really bold. It was very close in comparison to my favorite Starbucks clover brew. Would defiantly head back often I wish but I would then turn into one super happy fat bastard. And the wife she would yell at me even more for not eating healthy. read more

The cashiers are always friendly and helpful. The coffee has quite a few options for milk alternatives which I love, but the espresso is not as strong or flavorful since it gets almost flavorless in a latte or cappuccino. I've had the donuts here and they are solid, although the apple cider doughnuts have been consistently dry and almost inedible every time I've tried them (I would avoid those if you could). I can only speak to the donuts here. It's a cute shop and the selection seems delicious, but to me the ratio of dough (too big) to toppings is off. Furthermore, the actual donut doesn't taste great.
