This store has really gone downhill. Did they change store owners or something? I miss the announcements by the older guy. He was always nice and helpful. Now when I go here every worker looks miserable and look like they're just waiting for their day to be over. All the items I used to shop for have moved, I can't find the things I need due to these resets and pointless moves. I'm pretty sure the last time I was here a week ago I saw a big rat. I used to like shopping here a few months ago but every time I come here it's a disaster. Would advise anyone to go to the Monrovia location when you will be treated much better. When leaving the store an employee followed me to my car unannounced. Then grabbed my shopping cart stating I did not pay for my groceries. My elderly mother was holding on to the shopping cart for support. I was very shocked and surprised by how aggressive the employee grabbed my shopping cart and accused me and my family of stealing . I told the employee that I was startled by her actions and she stated "it's fine" .We showed our receipt an the employee said that one of the items is not on the receipt. We had taken part of the buy one get one free vitamin deal. After the she looked at the receipt . She then proceeded to say have a good day and then left "Liz" . No apology or anything . I love the bargain market! I never know what they have that I need. I always find something that I need to buy.

This was the very first Grocery Outlet that I've shopped at and ever since the very first visit, I kept coming back on my grocery runs. Funny story I actually found this Grocery Outlet through Facebook after seeing various ads for this store. I saw how low priced certain things were and I was stunned so I had to check it out. It was true, many things from snacks to frozen food were really good deals. Also, the staff here are so friendly. Friendly staff at a grocery store, that's rare because most of the time they are busy trying to get you on your way asap. Here they ask how you are and if you found everything ok. I think each Grocery Outlet is independently owned since prices do vary by store and location so when you check the ads they may only pertain to that store only. Parking here is not too bad. Sometimes the front does fill up, but there's usually a space you can find here and there. Overall shopping here is pretty pleasant and definitely worth the return trips. read more

At first glance, this building looks outdated . I'm pretty sure you can miss it when you are driving by. Anyways, I shopped here a while back for the first time and now I keep returning for deals. The individual stores are franchised so they might have different products, so from experience, some may only be there temporarily. Worst Grocery Outlet I've been to. Unfortunately it's the closest to my house. Will be going to Arcadia moving forward. Clueless management and employees. This is now the second time an employee is at a working register with the light turned off. Meanwhile a long line is forming at another register and the cashier is completely unaware of what's happening. Does not call people over or take the time to notice that the register light is off. A manager was in the area and didn't even notice or care. Worth it to make the drive to Arcadia. Much more organized store and employees are more customer service oriented. read more

I came to visit this store because a friend had raved about this place being so cheap for high quality products that you can find at Sprouts, Whole Foods, etc. Being on a paleo-ish diet, my grocery bill was piling up sky high. I had to find a solution...thank you Grocery Outlet. Sure, this store isn't "sexy" by any means. It's a bargain store, similar to the aisles of the something like Big Lots or even the 99 Cents Store, however, you won't really care about the aesthetics if you're getting deals as low as they have here. For example, they have paleo chips that typically I would buy at $5-$6 at a competing store, but here they're about $2. I'll definitely be incorporating this place on my grocery haul days! read more

Wow, let me take you way back into time. I shopped here sometimes back in the days, but not quite often when I lived closer to Ranch Market in Monrovia. They have good produce and meats too. Its just their isles o food was not always organized. I shopped here recently, and there has been a big change in the store. It was a lot smaller when I last shopped here over 15 years ago. we were in today and unfortunately had to deal with a very rude, unhelpful & angry checker! he's a heavy Mexican guy who you can hear from the back of the store talking, laughing and even cursing all the while holding up a line of customers waiting to check out. when the customers receipt was wrong he showed the new employee and the only evidence of "training" was how to be absolutely rude to a customer!! he grabbed the receipt from the customer and then pushed it back in their hand and with his loud obnoxious tone said "SOME PEOPLE" !! he had the new employee hand them back the refund! this guy needs to work in the warehouse, far away from interacting with customers ! we'll be shopping at the G.O. in Arcadia! read more

Wow! I usually go to the Grocery Outlet in Arcadia, but I found a coupon online for this location so I decided to check it out. The Duarte Grocery Outlet is much bigger with a wider selection of goodies! They keep their items on a pretty good rotation and there's a lot more cool stuff here! I even found items that they sell cheaper at this location than the Arcadia location! Everything is well organized and well labeled and the people working here are all very friendly and helpful. Came here with my son to use the coupon advertised found in Fb. My son had his order and I had mine. The cashier would not let my son use the coupon. The coupon states per person not per family. So he left without purchasing but please be clear on your coupons. Store is messy and some items do not have prices. Watch out for expiration dates. I love a good Grocery Outlet. Not only can you find some good stuff at this location, but the team is always so friendly. The only downside is you can never trust the price on the yellow tags because they never match the actual price of the item. However, the manager is usually good at honoring the displayed price. Lastly, if you are sensitive to the cold like me I would recommend bringing a jacket because they like to blast the AC here. read more

Today was my second time here in about a month! The store is clean, spacious and well laid out. The prices are very good! You can get a lot of items for very reasonable prices. The only thing is some of their produce is not very fresh, the green onions today were all wilted and yucky, the avocados way too ripe! But overall the variety is pretty decent. May 1,2021 at 4:19pm, I was at the grocery outlet #469 store, where I was in search of chocolate croissant but they where out. So the manager "Claudia" called store # 309 in Duarte and person from store #309 told Claudia that they don't have it, in the most rude and unprofessional manner. I was in front of the manager when she called therefore heard it. I then thanked Claudia for her professional customer service. I was curious if this was true, so I drove to store # 309 to see if there wasn't chocolate croissants, well it was very false they are fully stocked with chocolate croissants and purchased 3 boxes for my family event. #309 store was messy, and unprofessional employees as I heard another customer ask an employee where the bread was. If employees don't want to work, there are plenty of other people that would happily take that job. It is unprofessional to lie, if they are lazy to look for item then they are in the wrong line of work. I will no longer go to #309 store unprofessional, rude, messy and floor dirty from spills of something liquidity. I will continue to go to store #469 the manager and her team were very friendly, professional and their store looked clean and very organized. #469 go above and beyond for the customer. Grade A++ Claudia and her team should get recognition for their work. #309 Grade F this store needs customer service classes and anger management class for how they treated other store manager. It could have easily been myself calling the store, her rudeness. Owner of both stores please take action to this. So this doesn't happen again. read more

We didn't have a quarter for their cart we tried to pay for one with our phone credit card and they still declined they made us get our groceries with bags and boxes and we had to pay for the bags ; on top of that this fat cashier with red hair was being mean to my mother telling her she needs to be fast because she's being timed with MAJOR ATTITUDE . I'm not sure why this should matter to my mother if she's not the one clocked in and the worker didn't want to make a quick solution by letting her borrow a quarter . On top of that none of the staff have name tags ?? Like how are we suppose to talk to their manager about this they will just tell us they are not sure who we are talking about .! I've started jokingly nicknaming this place "Best Store" when asked where I got groceries from after work. The prices really can't be beat, but aside from that I tend to find A LOT of really niche products that I don't see much at the bigger chains (e.g. lactose-free/vegan cheeses both sliced and shredded, gluten-free baking ingredients and mixes, etc) which has helped immensely with cooking for my wife who actually has allergies to both. On that note, if you're into lactose-free or gluten-free just because you think it's "trendy"...please don't. It's inconsiderate to those that actually have limited options and I can't count how many times I've been to Albertsons and Aldi just to see people have blitzed all the gluten-free products and Lactaid because it's "cool" to pretend you have a gluten allergy. It's not, and it sucks for those that actually have to live with it. /endrant I easily spend way more than I ever anticipate going in here just because there's crazy stuff that I wasn't expecting. Yesterday for example I found like a 2lb jar of sundried tomatoes for $5.99 (normally that price for an 8oz jar at Albertsons...), boxes of Nutrigrain fruit bars for $0.99, craft beef jerky, aforementioned allergy-catering products, shishito peppers, etc. Always fun to see what you'll find, and the fact that they stock smaller brand items you've never heard of before is always a plus! Now for the downsides... It's clear that some stock seems to always be restocked, while others are rotated out. This means that I'm probably not going to see that pasta sauce that was imported from Italy or the bag of GF blondie brownie mix ever again...which is a bummer, but the flip side is that's what makes it a "what will I find this time??" experience to begin with. Probably not reliable for consistent or big grocery shopping. Also, you need to be careful with expiration dates! This is not the place to go if you want to stock the pantry, and if there's a white promotion price on an item it's almost guaranteed it's going to expire the same week. I haven't seen anything that's already expired thank goodness unlike some other discount stores which will go unmentioned..., but I have found a couple things that were going to expire in a couple days. If you get ketchup thinking it will sit in your fridge for half a year you might want to reconsider. Most of the condiments have about a month left. Other products may still have over a year though, so it's very hit or miss. Just stay vigilant and you should be fine. All in all, a good store that's worth checking out. read more

Located in the same plaza as Little Caesar's and the Tropicana Market, took over the former Mike's Food Market. I am so glad this place finally opened because the tiny town of Duarte needs more food market options. Aisles were stocked and clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. I have already shopped at the Grocery Outlet in Glendora just recently and was happy to see how affordable food items are here. Currently you can buy 1 dozen eggs for only $0.89. The only down side is that this maket doesn't have some somewhat harder to find ingredients in hand like fresh ginger (but I'm pretty sure the newly opened Smart & Final will have it, which is across the street). But with just a minor lack of selection, I am still glad this place finally came over to Duarte and will definitely be a regular here. read more

Duarte Grocery Outlet sells case Crystal Geyser water 1.99 and skinny Diet Coke case of 8 .99 cents. My sister and I went on a Saturday morning in May to look for deals. I've found butter on sale 1.99, Diet Coke cherry .99, ritz crackers with cheese 1.49. The aisles was clean and seen some workers stocking the vegetables and meat area. No lines at the registers. Really great service! I was looking for a specific item and could not find it. I asked Medarlo (most likely spelled wrong) a gentleman who worked there if he could help me. He was unable to find the item so he asked his coworker Amelia (spelled wrong too) to help. Unfortunately, they could not find the item. However, even after they could not find it, they still kept trying and found me in the store to Show me a picture of the item to make sure they understood what I was looking for. Then they continued searching for it. Unfortunately, they were out of what I wanted and they apologized. Even though I didn't walk out with what I wanted, I felt like they really cared. Some standout features of GO: (1) the produce is priced well & is of very good quality, (2) the fair selection of meat & poultry, (3) the variety of the dairy case, (4) the selection of cold coffees and juices in the refrigerated section at the back, (5) a healthy liquor section in the front, (6) an excellent freezer case with great variety of items, (7) the plethora of beverage selections, the expected and unexpected, & (8) the variety of cereals and bars to please nearly everyone. The setup of GO isn't fancy or warehouse-like. They are smaller stores on par with the size Fresh & Easy stores were. Bring your own bags to save money or buy them here and reuse. For those who are wondering, they do take EBT (call ahead if you want to verify). The employees are also so kind. My coupon didn't work but the cashier took the time to find the matching discount. I just have to say, it's nice to walk out of a store with a full cart and always spent less than $50. Check their website for great coupons. Sign up for emails and they'll send you more coupons and info on new items. The money you save here is tremendous. I've made many visits now and not one was a letdown. If I had to describe Grocery Outlet, it would be a cross between your discount/dollar store combined with a small scale market. It's cool that the have seasonal goodies and deals. The one thing that I notice though was that some of your favorite brands are there for a cheaper price, but when you look a little closer, the flavors are not your normal ones you find at the super market. For example, Pop Tarts were half the price you'd find at a super market, but they had grape or peanut butter flavors. I also saw this brand of coconut chips I've had before, but upon closer inspection, they were salted caramel flavor. We also got General Mills "Star Wars" cereal that looked a lot like Lucky Charms, but when we opened them at home, it tasted like fruity pebbles with marshmallow characters. No wonder it was $1 for the box! Don't get me wrong, we found a ton of things that we liked! Don't forget your reusable bags!! read more

I just love this place. The people here are really nice and I don't know how they do it but every time I go they play a song I didn't know I needed to hear. Seriously who ever does their music playlist is tearing it up. The selection of items they have comes and goes. This location is further from me but selection seems bigger. I shopped here for 2nd time this past week. Items well stocked. I found the staff readily available but gave you a sense of "please don't ask me anything." At other store, staff would approach you and ask if you need help and if you did, they would walk you to the isle. I always be met with a friendly greeting while shopping in the isles. I enjoy shopping at this Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. It is clean, organized, and most importantly, not crowded. The store clerks are all masked, and they keep a bottle of cleaning spray by the door to wipe down your cart. The produce section is always well stocked with a wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. I did my grocery run at this location tonight. First time to be in this store and I was very pleased with the layout, selection and friendliness of the cashier who exhibited cheerfulness while ringing up my items even though it was about 5 minutes before closing time. Had I gone in sooner, I would have scoured the aisles to check out other goodies, as I saw they had toys on display, too. I was able to use the $5 off $15 coupon which Grocery Outlet gives out in the mail every once in a while. Be on the lookout for it as you are able to get more bang for your buck while shopping. Nevertheless, even without the coupon, you are still very likely to find true bargains especially when it comes to fruits, produce, canned goods, bread, baking products and pasta - all of which I regularly purchase when I'm at the store. There is a smaller Grocery Outlet nearer to our house but because of my wonderful experience tonight, I think I will be splitting my time and money between the branch near us and this Duarte location.
