I order take out from here often for lunch from work and I have always had a great experience. They are so warm, welcoming and friendly when I call or come in. I have tried many dishes and they are always full of flavor and delicious every single time, I've never been disappointed. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side but I always see people dining in. If I didnt live 45 minutes away I would definitely come back in for dinner, although they would be worth the drive! From my first sip of that very spicy shrimp soup, I was struck by the refined flavors and delicate knife work. The beef Panang was awesome, I could eat that twice a week. Best thai takeout anywhere in our area. Some of the flavors are so authentic, just like home made especially the penang and red curry flavors. Chef Waree and her team do a phenomenal job with all of the dishes! We especially love the fish, crispy cod over ramen and the crispy sea bass but we have tried beef, chicken and vegetarian varieties of the various dishes and absolutely love everything! We have been going here for several years and it is one of our favorite places. They have dine outside and take out, which is great, since we do not dine in anywhere at this point. The food is amazing. I like medium spice and the wife likes spicy and they make the food to our different desires. We have tried almost every dish on the menu and each and every one was great. We have some favorites, such as the SeaBass, Crispy Cod, Korean Beef, Grub Buns and Smack Calamari. If available, try the flan and/or the mango sticky rice. The Thai Tea, Thai coffee and the Lychee tea are all great but a bit sweet. Service is just right. read more

I really wanted to give a 1-star review today just based on the customer service but the food is really tasty in general so it's only fair that I gave 4 stars. The owner is great but I am really disappointed in the server tonight. The white man with the glasses (sry I didn't get the name) served us. I had ordered the same dish as my husband but with teriyaki sauce; and instead of the chicken strips with string beans and peppers, I got chicken breasts with carrots and broccoli. On the menu they only display the chicken strips with string beans/peppers, so I would imagine they've had customer confusion before. When I told the server I had ordered what my husband had but with teriyaki sauce instead, he looked at me with a blank stare and told me it's the same dish. I gave him an "are you kidding me right now" stare and explained it's completely a different dish minus the coconut rice. Don't insult my intelligence sir, string beans/peppers are different vegetables than broccoli/carrots! You could have easily brought me out a side of string beans. He also did not come once to check on our table or refill my water. I understand it was busy but it doesn't cost a thing to be more pleasant. read more

Let me just start out by saying this is some of the best food in rockland. In the last month my wife and I have been here about 4 times and were go to sleep dreaming about certain dishes. The one dish that really hit it home for us is the crispy sea bass with red curry. Spice levels can be adjusted but we usually go for a good amount of spice. The sea bass goes great with the coconut garlic rice. The chicken satay buns, shrimp tempura buns with smack sauce, and the special Thai wings are also all just amazing! Now when going in realize this is small business with about 7 tables and about 2 people taking and running orders. There are times where they seem to get overwhelmed due to the tremendous amount of takeout they do (which should also be a sign of the quality of the food). So expect to wait a little bit but use that time to enjoy some conversation or just take a break from your day because either way the wait will be worth it. The staff is also super nice and very hospitable. So if you're looking for an amazing place to just unplug take your time and enjoy high quality food this is most definitely the place to be. read more

Was in town for business staying at the Doubletree and stumbled on this place through yelp. SOO good! Might have been the best Thai Green Curry I've ever had and I am a huge Thai food fan. Staff was very friendly. They didn't have brown rice or the mango sticky rice (its seasonal) but that was ok. I got shrimp Bao buns, coconut water (a real coconut!), shrimp green curry and fried banana for dessert. Everything was sooo good. I would definitely return if I was in the area again. Hands down the BEST Asian fusion spot in Rockland County. I'm addicted to their Roti Canai and everything else I've tried has been wonderful. From their Smack Shrimp Lettuce wraps, Korean BBQ buns, and even mango and rice dessert. Caroline is a gem of a host, always saying hello to everyone BY NAME, and Waree comes out to always talk with the guests. Do yourself a favor and check out this spot. This location, in West Nyack, just opened a few days ago. We ate in. They do not have a liquor license, and as yet, can't accommodate BYO. That said, they offer a fresh coconut and juice that was delicious. The menu has a lot of options. We had the chicken dumplings, beef tacos and Korean Beef BBQ, for desert fried banana and ice cream. The food was very good. The service couldn't be better. We will definitely be going back. I've been back, a few times, this has got to be one of the best places to eat in Rockland. there are other asian fusion restaurants in rockland co but none as unique & delicious as Grub. the vegetarian spring rolls my party ordered were light, tasty, and very delectable. then, we both traveled to Thailand for the Beef infused Drunken Noodles. the entree was served in a bowl and the server was very pleasant. however, the temperature not intensity of the dish was only warm not hot. i don't know if this is customary and i intend on trying the Vietnamese Pho. it's not a knock on this eatery. it's just my opinion. the ambiance and hospitality is first rate. i will definitely return. more rocklanders need to be informed of Grub. the secret is out now. shhhhhhhhh. read more
