My go-to spot for Mexican food! The chips and salsa are always delicious, and the queso is amazing too. The mini tacos pastor and barbacoa are hands down the best I've ever had - so much flavor in every bite. The green salsa that comes with the tacos is incredible, and their rice is delicious too, my favorite! Drinks are great, prices are fair, and the food is consistently top-notch. Food was nothing to write home about we were visiting from out of town.. we did have a large group but we sat while all the tables around us got their food way before us. Came to Lake Jackson to go the mall. Wanted to grab a bite. My wife had the mini chimichangas which were not mini, they were amazing! The queso was great. Even the rice was fantastic. Tried this place after church and absolutely NOT impressed. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. We weren't greeted even coming in the door. Found a table and sat down. About 5 min later a waitress came and took our drink order. 3 waters 2 sprites and 2 teas. 10 min later she came back with drinks and chips/salsa. She apologized for the lengthy wait. Ordered chicken soup no flavor boiled chicken leg and thigh and threw a potato, a carrot, 1/2 squash and some vegetable we couldn't figure out. Been here a few times for the crawfish and it's usually pretty good, day servers are way better than the evening ones. Place is very dirty! Night service sucks! They like seriously need to clean but they would all rather stand at the counter on their phones. Men's restroom is out of order, no soap or paper towels in the women's. Server disappeared. Showing support for this local restaurant we went for the first time. The food was absolutely delicious & they had a good selection of draft beer in their cantina. Not the best service at all. Went with my family and our waitress was not attentive at all. She never offered us refills and didn't check on us if we needed anything. She never smiled or anything just took our orders. Food took a while to get to our table. She was too busy congregating with the men that were there and basically ignored us. The other waitress serving the table behind us actually came to our table and asked if we needed anything. The chips and salsa lady also asked us if we needed anything. I stopped by yesterday to check out their lunch menu. The place was packed with liberals waiting for Beto O'Rourke to stop by for a rally. I stuck around with the large group of Conservatives that showed up and sure enough O'Rourke showed up at noon. Around 30 minutes later the fire marshal showed up and shut the rally down. The first few times we tried it last year it was great. Now, the last 3 times they can't get an order right, the food is greasy and the servers don't seem to care if it's wrong. Example: Ordered beef fajitas with no rice or beans, extra veggies. Received: beef fajita steak with double beans and no veggies. Just left this place and what a huge disappointment. We used to eat here at least three times a week but now not again. We sat down ordered a margarita and was told the machine was off again but we waited to get one. Meanwhile, no chips or salsa was served and we had to ask for it. The waitress brings out the two margaritas and they were not frozen and she stated the machine was giving them problems and needing repaired. Wanted to get some Chile con queso but decided to just go somewhere else. The service suck. They took for ever to seat us. And tool even longer to serve use. We got there at 6:30 and didn't get are drinks tell 7:00. Than didnt come back tell around 8:00. We ordered are food and waited a long time to get it. One of the worst places I've eaten at in quiet awhile, it was like eating a taco shell full of grease and unmelted cheese (it was cool when it got to the table) and the beef (what little was in there) was disgusting. First time visit, I had the chicken spinach enchiladas plate with rice and beans. It was a different kind of twist, really didn't think much of it to be honest. The bathrooms were super clean and nice, that's a plus. The manager walked around and asked how our food was,a nice touch. Our waiter Edson took excellent care of us, he was very attentive. One of the best tasting Mexican food in the area! Good family friendly atmosphere, great prices! Been waiting for this place to come here (original from Angelton. Fajitas are tender and juicy, salsa and chips are so good it is hard to stop eating them. I prefer this place over the overpriced El Torro, or La Casona. Beer is cheap during Happy Hour @ $2.99 a bottle. Been here twice in one week now that I know they are open in Lake Jackson. It's somewhat hidden in the plaza behind Lubys. The only improvement they could make is on the number of waiters. Since they expanded, they have a growing wait staff and are still working out the kinks. Overall great edition to Lake Jackson. Wife and daughter liked everything they tried including: the chile con queso, the quesadillas, and rice and beans. They loved breakfast here too: excellent huevos a la mexicana, chorizo con huevo, and amazing pancakes (move over IHOP). Oh and FYI the Angleton restaurant has the same "regular" customers for years (since food is that good). I hope this place continues to grow and have its own "regulars" here in Lake Jackson for years to come. read more

I had the crispy tacos plate with rice and beans. Came out hot and served a unique way by having the taco shells stuffed with taco meat and the lettuce, tomato, and cheese on the side. It was kind of like build your own taco. The shells were crispy and the taco meat flavorful. Speed of service lacked tonight with an uninspired server helping us. No real sense of urgency.
