My husband and I and a glimpse of the starry ceiling
    Charlotte C.

In Redding for the weekend and needed a place for dinner. This was a great choice! The decor is fun and provides a great ambiance! Makes you feel like you are outside under the stars! (I will note that the seat cushion in the booth was not that comfortable as the padding is a bit wore out so you feel the structural boards underneath so you may want to opt for a table instead of a booth) We had the fajita trio for two that came with shrimp, steak & chicken. (Ask for it medium well as the meat kept cooking on the skillet and steak ended up a bit more like jerky. lol) my husband had a Cadillac Margarita and wow! It was worth the $$! Service was excellent and we witnessed even a couple birthday celebrations. It was a fun place for dinner dare I say even a bit romantic!

I've been here like 20 times & it's always good! My favorite Mexican place in Redding.

Not from this area and I'm glad i stopped by, food was authentic and had some tasty beer watching the World Cup game.

Stopped in for dinner and I must say it is so colorful and nicely decorated. The ceiling gives the effects of shining stars. We were seated quickly and everyone was very nice and welcoming. We got the chips and salsa. The chips were a little on the stale side, hard and chewy. The salsa had flavor, not much heat. The drinks were big and came out quick. The food portions are pretty big and good prices. The food was good, nothing really great. The chimichanga could have used some sauce on top instead of the sour cream which said it didn't come with. The carne asada was a big piece but a little tough. It all lacked some flavoring and the rice was dry.

Benjamin was consummate wait person. Chile Relleno was first rate. Spotless restrooms. Enjoy.

Highly recommend. We were so happy to find this restaurant on the way through town. The restaurant decorations were amazing and so fun. The food was excellent (burritos, chimichanga, and tacos, salsa). The wait staff was probably the best we've ever experienced.

    Chicken fajita salad.

Once again really REALLY good, fresh Mexican food. I highly recommend this restaurant, they never seem to have an "off" day. And after many years of eating here I had another fantastic meal, actually two in the last week. This was a to-go meal, and was very good. Chips were still warm when I got home, everything was perfect.

Fajitas three ways and all the goodies that go with!

Our family's favorite for years... we have been loyal customers because these folks are fantastic and the food is top notch! The lights in the ceiling and all the traditional art work is welcoming. We almost always have a group of 5 or more and they take great care of us. Warm Chips and yummy salsa on the table when we are seated, they know my husband likes the hotter salsa and bring it without needing to ask. Service is friendly prompt and always with a great smile! We have our favorite dishes but are never disappointed when we give a new item a try. The fajitas for three were hot hot hot and yummy today. If you leave here hungry, it's likely your own fault, cause they serve great portions! If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out !

Cheese enchilada and pork tamale combo
    Cam A.

Bottom line - this is C grade Mexican food. Arrived and received chips and salsa and they were average. Ordered a combo with pork tamale and cheese enchilada. The cheese enchilada was cheesy yet the sauce seemed out of a can, not very authentic. The tamale was DRY and if I had to guess, a frozen tamale. Not fresh. The food was hot and honestly their technique probably dried the rice out - it was dry. Was hopping this recommendation was good - but sadly it was not and I'm sure there is better.

The one in Redding is great, but the restaurant in Red Bluff is different and not as good. Great service.

I got asada, but added two eggs and guacamole in the burrito, with cilantro and onions for added crispness and flavor. I asked for the tortilla to be crispy on the outside, but wish the fries were crispier. It was $15 for everything, which is a damn good deal, considering the size of the burrito. I'm not sure about the price of a regular Cali burrito, but what I ordered was $15. She even skipped the tip portion (I tipped in cash instead).

Really good food but basically just warmed up at the restaurant and prepared elsewhere. I wonder who the actual food preparation is done by?? There are a few things removed from the menu Perhaps not easily just warmed up and hard to maintain quality This place was called Chuys about 2 1/2 years ago. The rumors are that there were some legal issues and he left and the new owners took over not long after that. Not much improvement aesthetically and hasn't changed in two years or more. Restaurants us clean and presentable. There are many places you can go in Redding and get the same quality or better and pay a lot less.

I've heard a-lot of good things about this place…read moreand being a bit of a snob when it comes to Mexican food, the places I've visited in Redding have been mediocre at best with Casa Ramos being the "best" in Redding until now. First off, the rice, white queso dip, cream sauce, salsa and bean dip they have, rival a favorite place of mine in LA called Salsa and Beer I ordered basic cheese enchiladas (one with red sauce, one with green sauce). They were FANTASTIC. If you think something as simple as a cheese enchilada can't be gourmet and elevated, I suggest trying anything from Rick Bayless (Chicago or LA) and El Cholo (LA) with their aged cheddar. All that to say, Casa Rios didn't disappoint. My friend got the chili relleno with cream sauce, one word, FANTASTIC. I like that it had a bit of char to it and that it wasn't super eggy. It had a nice crisp to it. For desert (it being my bday week and all lol) was their coconut tres leches cake with strawberries. Another smash out of the park. I will definitely be back. Eager to try their fajitas, birria tacos and flan. Great job. If I'm in town on Tuesday (8/11) I'll have my bday dinner here.
