Half way delicious Tejuino and a jericaya

I found this hidden place in San Jose. Delicious Tejuino, food everything was as it says authentic Mexican food. Great service they are so friendly. My daughter wanted asada fries they didn't had it in the menu but the lady said everything is possible here. And it was possible!! Definitely coming back to try the menudo and the pizza birria. Because the tostada de lomo and the torta ahogada were delicious. Also after I tried looking for it everywhere. I finally found the best Tejuino ever. From now on our favorite place.

Stumbled on a hidden gem! We were looking to get lunch and could not find the place we were looking for. As we set the GPS to the next place, we decided to try this truck that was right in front of us. And we're sure happy we stopped. Tacos were crispy, bold flavor, well seasoned meat, not greasy, and tasty. The flautas were stuffed with a good amount of meat and topped with a delicious green sauce and creama. Birria tacos had great flavor and melted cheese. My only wish would be to have a side of dipping consommé. They have nice tables to enjoy the food on the spot.

Wow what a hidden gem!! Everything we ordered here was delicious! I had the chilaquiles verdes which were semi spicy just how I like it! I heard the red is good so next time will try it. My partner had Quesabirria tacos and tamale de raja. He enjoyed it. Will be coming back for more!

Just off of Santa Clara Street near Five Wounds. I was driving by and decided to grab lunch to bring home to watch the Niners game. But they have a tv and the game was on, so I enjoyed a fun atmosphere and a great torta de asada here. I'll be back.

The food was goood, both orders were shared by two people . The set up of the tables is really cute too . Went on a cold night but they're tarp and heater kept us warm

I've never been here before but today I wanted to try it for the first time. Let me start by saying that they were closed and decided to ask if they could sell us whatever they still had, they proceeded to let us in and when we asked what was available they said that everything on the menu was available and let me tell you. Me and my three friends ordered 4 quesabirrias, 8 asada tacos, 3 tacos al vapor, one al pastor and 5 consomés. Yes we ordered a lot of food and they helped us out with a big smile on their faces. I just want to say that the service is top tier and the food was also amazing. I will definitely come back with my family and friends and I recommend this place to anyone that wants some great tacos and atmosphere.

This food truck was very cute and had a nice welcoming environment! There is a small seating area in front with tables containing sanitizer, napkins, and a tv broadcasting a novela. It almost felt like you were in a Mexican living room surrounded by the vibrant colors of the tablecloth patterns. The quesabirrias were amazing! Every bite was declicious and juicy. The cheese still stretched as I took my final bites. It came with two sauce containers with varying levels of heat. My favorite was the green sauce because it gave it a nice subtle kick. The radishes and lemon slices were fresh and complimented the perfectly seasoned meat. I'm used to seeing smaller portions of this meal, but the ones here were big and well stuffed. I can't wait to go back and try other things from their menu! They take cash or card :)

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! We had Mexican jambalaya, Carne asada plate, tacos Dorado, enchiladas with both sauces, parillada, enfrioladas (bean enchiladas) tacos de pescado, Don julio flight, multiple drinks and churros. The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Overall the service was great and quick. I would definitely come back here.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

Our server was Sebastian & he was super friendly, attentive & recommended us the goods. My favorite here was their enchiladas - red & stuffed with chicken tinga. It also came with a side of rice & beans. The pickled red onions that came on top was delicious as well. My daughter even loved it & she's super picky about her onions. Drinks were good, the michelada with the shrimps - fire. Paloma - not that strong for the price you pay, but it was still alright. Guacamole - my kids loved Sebastian recommended us the coffee to-go, super flavorful Overall good vibes, great service, good food Will recommend.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

The staff were attentive, gave great menu recommendations, and constantly came by to refill our water. Very spacious dining room. We started with the Queso Fundido, served on a small hot plate with chilis, garlic, and oil on top. It's basically a block of cheese served with chips. Even with the hot plate, it didn't stay gooey for long, but it was a pretty good starter. The Coconut Campachano was creamy and refreshing. It also came with chips, though ours seemed like crumbs from the bottom of the barrel. We got the Trompo tacos and Sautéed Shrimp tacos. Both were tasty, and the tortillas seemed fresh. Decent food, great service, small portions, a bit expensive for what you get and that's before the 4% fee.

My wife is Latina, so we're pretty familiar with authentic Latin/Mexican flavors, and from the moment we walked in, we were a little unsure of what to expect. We completely understand we're in Willow Glen and that Copita is going for a more upscale take, but for us, authenticity and flavor still have to be at the heart of the experience. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her service. However, when we asked about the style of the food, there seemed to be a little hesitation in explaining it, which made us even more uncertain about what we had gotten ourselves into. I don't like bashing restaurants or their food, so I'll simply say that, unfortunately, the highlight of our meal was the chips and salsa. The cocktails, on the other hand, were good and definitely not shy on the alcohol! Also, don't expect large portions. The restaurant is clearly aiming for a more upscale presentation and experience, so the plates reflect that. Overall, Copita just wasn't for us. This was our first visit and unfortunately will probably be our last. I genuinely wish them success, but I think a few changes, especially when it comes to the flavors and authenticity of the food could make a big difference.
