    Caesar salad & Fettuccini
    Hong N.

An auntie of mine was ravin' about this place and I can see why! Fettuccine was delicious! 3 Cheese Ravioli was all right. Caesar salad was good, more on the savory side. They prepare their food based on ticket orders, and due to the large number of to-go orders, wait times can reach up to 45 minutes. I'd recommend waiting there till your food is ready because it's always nice to have a pippin hot meal than cold, especially when the sauce hasn't settled yet.

We have been to Guicho's a few times and have always ordered sandwiches to go. They do have a little patio for outside dining. The inside dining area doesn't seem appealing. We like the meatball & the Caprese sandwiches. We like to take the food to the Pines Park in Dana point & watch the waves below. Makes for a lovely afternoon Restaurant is tucked into the T.J. Maxx shopping center in San Clemente.Plenty of parking.

    Fusilli special

Great takeout pasta joint near the beach! It seems they've recently added a couple of tables inside so you can dine in, but I would recommend bringing it to the beach and eating it outside on a beautiful day. The plaza is small and parking limited so do keep that in mind. My friend recommended the fusilli special which is a tomato cream sauce with ground sausage and mushrooms. It was so flavorful and not overly heavy. Pasta was cooked perfectly and wasn't drowning in sauce either. It also comes with a side of garlic bread slice to sop up the extra sauce. Loved it and think it's great value as well! I'll be back next time in come down to the beach

Guicho's is not my favorite but everyone else seems to like it. What am I missing? The wife loves this place and with it being walking distance to home, easy for a quick meal. Several different friends visiting from out of town always want to order when they are here. Again, what am I missing? I have ordered many different things over the years: Spaghetti and meatballs - has become my go-to. Not bad but not great. Meatballs are pretty good. Never had meatballs with rice in them but it seems to work. I always ask for extra marinara. Fusilli with sausage - sausage is good, broth based sauce is nice change up from tomato sauce. Hearts of Palm Salad - good. Usually a lot of hearts of palm and the balsamic vinaigrette is good. A lot of good and OK from my perspective. Not great, IMHO. This time the wife wanted the chopped salad - mixed greens, chicken, cucumber, carrots, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, mozzarella, oven dried eggplant, balsamic dressing 12.95. She LOVES this salad. Most of the time she orders this salad and a pasta and then she has leftovers of both for lunch the next day. This time the wife only ordered this as her meal. They throw in a small slice of baguette that is not bad. For me, I ordered for the first time the sausage sandwich. I have never ordered a sandwich from Guicho's so it was a new adventure. I have had the sausage as a side with spaghetti and with the fusilli. It's pretty good sausage. The sausage sandwich is Guichos homemade pork sausage, roasted peppers and onions, giardinera sauce. 13.50. I ordered some marinara on the side. First impression is that there was not much sausage and the sandwich was kind of small. The giadinera looked good. Overall, the sandwich was a solid OK. Giardinera was the highlight of the meal. Ordering marinara is interesting as they say the side is 8 ounces, but it is much less than that. I am not sure if we were charged for the marinara as I forgot to take a pic of the receipt. Like I started with, I am an outlier in my family and friends that really like or love Guicho's. I think I've tried enough of the dishes to get a feel for what I think is OK. In some cases, when the wife and the kid want Guicho's, I will make my own dinner at home or order from a different restaurant. That's me. Go. I'd recommend somewhere else. HAVE FUN!!

First time here! The food was super delicious, great service and nice ambiance, and pretty piano music too. I would definitely come back here again. It was really tasty.

Our table tried the bread basket, calamari, pizza (pineapple and pear/burrata), braised short ribs and the standout for me was the gamberoni! If you enjoy shrimp/ seafood in general, this is a dish to try. The pasta was thick, chewy and filling. The sauce was rich, earthy and flavorful. The shrimp (4 huge ones) were juicy and perfectly cooked. Our server recommended the dish and said they tasted like lobster - he was not wrong! I enjoyed my mocktail (like a pina colada), and the kids had blueberry & passion fruit lemonade. Finished off with lemon sorbet. Delightfully sweet and refreshing!

The Fun Guys pizza was so good--a fantastic mushroom and sausage white pie in deep square form. The fresh parsley was a nice touch. The From the D is basically a classic double pepperoni with those perfect little pepp cups. I'd heard about their cranch, and it totally lives up to the hype. It's just ranch, but somehow it's exactly right. The cranch bacon salad was good pairing to the fun guys. Maybe it's the whole vibe of the place. Tucked into a little seaside surfer town, with kids running around, arcade games, soccer blasting on the tvs, teens hanging out, couples on dates, and families gathering together. Maybe there was a sign but I missed it. Anyhow went to the bar area. Bar tender forgot his name but very nice guy. Ordered pizza and some sodas. The bartender said 4 or 8 cut. I said 8. Anyhow just got a pepperoni pizza. Pizza came out pretty fast. 4 slices not sure what the 8 meant. I was worried it would not be enough but it was. One slice for me was enough but when I was a 300 lb wildabeast I probably could have ate a whole 4 myself. Pizza was good, it's Detroit style so you got to be in a mood for it and I was. It was worth it. The bar area/restaurant is super casual and family friendly. I would definitely go back when I want that style for sure.
