Service was quick, we called the order in and drove down to get it. By the time we found parking the food was ready. It is a small place and being a bit large, it was a little difficult to get to the register to pay. Girls were really nice and the food was pretty good.

First stop on the island was pretty spot on service and food. The ube French toast and adobo omelette with spam was ALOHA. It's a small establishment so you have to wait outside til they call you. I would return for more good eats.

Everything was solid. Very friendly staff and very diverse menu with so many options. Food came out very quickly and presented well. The waffles were pretty standard but the haupia sauce (added ube mascarpone sauce) made it perfect without being too sweet. The star was da three bite feast. We can definitely tell that these are the top sellers because each one tasted amazing and the perfect go-to if you want a mix of sweet a savory. The pancakes were very soft and not too sweet since the sauce was drizzled on. The crab cake benedict was very crispy and better than we expected! The waygu loco moco had gravy that was nice and smooth. Definitely our new favorite go-to on the menu. The only down side is that the location is small but we came early so we had no problems getting a seat.

There's a reason the wait is over an hour on a weekend morning -- Guieb Cafe might be small, but showcases beautiful, ono food that'll make the wait worth it! Not to mention, the staff are so kind and gracious, even when the atmosphere is packed. My friends and I had such a hard time deciding what to pick, but I got the Ube Marscapone pancakes, and I don't regret it. They were delicious, fluffy, and HUGE! Easy on the eyes and stomach. :) Parking is great, it's in a neighborhood of warehouse-like structures, and free if you're going for brunch, I'd recommend going early, but worth a try every time!

Guieb Cafe has several locations on O'ahu and this was my first time trying out this location. We visited this establishment as part of a group and service was great! We had to wait a bit to be seated, but it was worth the wait. This location is smaller and has less seating available than the Wahiawa location. The food was served hot and fresh, and it was delicious as usual. Highly recommend! 15 photos should be included with this review.

Bangus (milkfish) paired with an adobo rice omelet.

Came for brunch and they did not disappoint! Kept it savory with the classic Filipino breakfast: perfectly crispy Bangus (milkfish) paired with an adobo rice omelet. For the sweet side, you already know we had to get the Ube Waffle. They come topped with a rich ube mascarpone, fresh berries, and a beautiful orchid. If you love ube, this is incredibly ube-forward but hits with just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. Definitely adding this spot to the regular rotation!

Amazing customer service from the lady that answered the phone to take my order and when I got there the two ladies that helped me! Very fast, friendly, and efficient. Treated me like family!!! Cooks in the back went the extra mile too, to fold the fruits INTO my pancakes! Wow. Atmosphere was very inviting and clean. Great job is an understatement! Guieb Cafe everyone knows the food is always so Ono. But now you know the Aiea staff is bomb! A little bit extra love goes a long way. Will definitely continue to support!

Local favorites with a twist! Appealing choices to select for B & L. Orchid adds a pop of color to entrees. Plethora of free parking in Harbor Center. Instructed to check in with the front staff. First come, first serve for five people or less. We're fortunate to have the last unoccupied table. Highly recommend calling restaurant to make reservations if it's for six or more people. Mom loved the simplicity and freshness of belgian waffles. Son enjoyed generous three stack of oreo cheesecake pancakes. He said it wasn't too sweet. Amazingly delicious crab cakes benedict! Loved how the yolks flowed freely after piercing eggs benedict. Crab cakes, hollandaise sauce, paprika, avocado, and English muffins integrated perfectly with each other. Yummy, crisp sweet potato fries complemented the remaining yolk and sweet, tangy ketchup. Colorful plates, beautiful presentation and delicious meals made a huge difference. Attentive, helpful, quick, efficient, and friendly staff. Quaint ambiance. AC working well. Limited seats are quickly occupied with dine in customers. Turn around times seem fast. There's a 3% surcharge for credit card(s). Highly recommend.

Thank you for being open on Thanksgiving Day! We did a take out just so we can eat at home and watch Macy's Parade on TV. Big portion and you can definitely share. Ube pancake was on the drier side but it came with whipped Ube cream topping so make sure you spread generously. Da Local omelette was definitely packed with lots of local proteins with sweet potato fries. That was different.

    1. To be seated, go to the cashier to be added to the list 2. Really small restaurant - be prepared to know your neighbors 3. 10% Military discount This restaurant came highly recommended and I'm glad I got the chance to finally come! The ube haupia was my favorite dish and it's cool that they have a "Filipino favorites" section on the menu!

Ube haupia French toast dipped in ube & coconut flakes. On the side: purple "ooze" and a creamy haupia sauce.

Wow! One of the best discoveries on our visit to O'ahu! The place was cozy and inviting, and the staff was so hospitable ... a quintessential trait of our Filipino culture, if I do say so myself. The menu had all the classics, along with some delectable twists. We ordered the longsilog and the ube haupia French toast. Had to take them to-go because the place was at full capacity with more ppl waiting outside! Yeah, it's pretty fantastic.

When I heard about the Ube pancakes, I had to have them. It's a tiny unassuming restaurant, what might be perceived as a hole-in-the-wall, but a hidden gem. It was a full house for breakfast, so we sat at the counter. My daughter and I shared the pancakes. Beautiful Ube and mascarpone, Deliciously purple fluffy pancakes. A flavor sensation. Very friendly service. Go! 13

My family and I were craving Filipino food and walked in hoping to get our fix. The restaurant was empty with 2 people dining in so we thought we avoided the dinner rush. Upon entering we were approached by a middle aged woman who points us to a chair and tells us "over here is fine". No greeting or acknowledgement. Even before we could get to our chair, she shouts out about 5 dishes they were out of with her back turned to us. This lady was cold and absurdly rude. We left and ended up just getting dinner from Foodland. I would've loved to have spent my money on a Filipino owned restaurant but it seemed that lady didn't want the business and never cared to help anyone that came through her restaurant. Such a very disappointing experience. I rarely drop 1 star reviews but I walked away stunned at the lack of customer service this lady displayed. Do yourself a favor and go to Elena's. They actually care about their restaurant and the people who spend their hard earned money there. I'll never be coming back. I'll also be sharing my experience so others are spared their time and money.

There is a chicken + meat combo that allows you to upgrade the meat to ribeye; we ordered this plate with all green salad. Then we ordered the King Kam ahi katsu with rice and upgraded the side to imitation crab salad. If you love sauce, this is for you. Their fried items are nicely cooked, the ahi katsu had a nice rare center and the boneless chicken was still juicy, but both lost their crispness under a mountain of seasoned soy sauce, Kewpie mayo, sriracha aioli, and sweet chili sauce. With the additional garlic, katsuobushi, furikake, and green onion, these are flavor bombs. The ribeye had a nice char from the grill. It's served with a side of crack sauce which has a vinegar, fish sauce base, plus chili, garlic and cilantro. The heat from the steak and chicken withered the bed of green salad underneath, so we didn't eat it; serves us right for not getting rice and mac salad with a plate lunch. At Kingz, more is more. It might've been the search for fried chicken to which Minasa didn't disappoint. We arrived just after opening and happened to get the last open table - after ordering, of course. The restaurant is clean and well put together with darker accents. Our food came out relatively quick - having the chef's special and ube churros. The kalbi sauce soaking into the rice was the perfect balance of flavors. Same for the calamansi fried chicken. Lechon, I must say was also a fine example of how seriously the chefs take their selection of ingredients - as I looked closer, it had the classic 5 layers (shown in my photo). Usually, this is the prime factor in the perfect roast pork - providing juicy layers of pork meat. Overall, this has been the best (new) meal we've had in a LONG time.
