I Love Filipino Food! This joint does it well. The best time to visit this joint is around lunch time. The lady's working there are forward-facing and get down to business. No real thrills in smiles. But, the food will make you smile. So ignore aunty & Manang for being a bit lack-luster. The restaurant is located in Uptown Mall Pearlridge. Nothing fancy. Just tables & chairs if you don't wanna take it to-go!

Yummerz is all I can say. Pusit guisado & monggo beans

The food is always consistently tasty. Pricey, but tasty. My go tos are the pig feet, pinapaitan & the tenga ng baboy. Delicious & addicting !

Don't know why I haven't reviewed here before, I do get food every so often. Pancit - a little oily but yummy. It's all I got this time but I've enjoyed the veg lumpia and banana lumpia, pigs feet, and adobo in the past. What would make it 4 stars if the food was hot. Then the bit of oiliness wouldn't matter as much. Will have to check if they have a microwave oven the next time I go by. Servers are ok. Price is a bit high. It was $8 for a mini pancit, but the server did pack the little container completely full. I had to open it carefully so the noodles wouldn't spill out.

When they charge for the soup containers and put foil... maybe tell the patrons that you are skimping!

Used to be a good place for filipino food. The soup has no taste and lumpia is very small for $2 - literally the length of my pinky!! Service is ok. Located in the food court at Pearlridge Mall uptown side / Mauka.

Absolutely Delicious! Highly recommended if you love Pancit. I suggest trying everything

Glad to have an option for Filipino food at pearl ridge fair portions for the price. $18 for two choice but sooo filling. I wish there was an option to replace rice for pancit because I wanted lechon kawali as well and ended up with a super full plate mahalo!

Every time I come to Pearl Ridge to shop, Bautista's Filipino Kitchen is my go to for lunch. It's because their Filipino version of kalbi is good, the adobo is almost always seasoned well. A plate lunch with 3 options is $18.95 before tax. Today, I got 3 options with white rice, adobo with potatoes, stir fried shrimp and longanisa (Filipino sweet sausage). The adobo with potatoes was seasoned well. The potatoes were soft. We also got stir fried shrimp. The shrimp is soft and tender but it was a bit salty. The 3rd option is longanisa. They can't go wrong with this since it's premade and it only needs to be fried. ;) The service is so-so. I don't think they have ever smiled or said hi or hello. This is their normal service so don't expect anything. The older lady who serves the food isn't mad, she just won't smile and gives you a look that makes you wonder if she's pissed off or something. The one thing that bothered me was when I asked for vinegar. It's a small container with vinegar that is normally given when you purchase lumpia. I didn't buy lumpia but I spent about $33 with the mochi and coconut juice. I didn't get any vinegar. I was told there was none. I looked behind the counter and it was filled with a bunch of tiny containers filled with vinegar. I asked the cashier again if I can have just one vinegar. The cashier said we don't have any. I paid and left and didn't argue. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great week!

Short ribs. A little oily, but good.
    Wanna L.

Nice selection of items to choose from. I saw the short ribs and wanted to try them with rice. It's a 1 choice plate for $12.99. Ribs were a bit oily but flavored nicely and very tender. Rice was a touch mushy, but I ate it happily. The counter lady was very nice and offered me utensils, napkins and a take out bag. The place looked cleaned and bright. I saw a couple of dishes I never had before. I might have to try them on a return visit.

    Pancit plate w/lumpia...

Love Bautista's. Food is always fresh and the prices are reasonable too. Go for the 3 choice plate, its the best deal.

I used to go here all the time to get my filipino food fix. Unfortunately they closed the Kalihi…read morerestaurant and now have to make the drive out to Waipahu. If you have never been here I highly recommend you trying their filipino food. Portion size is good and worth the money but the main reason you're buying their food is cause it's winnahs. I did take out a few of their menu items. Their special for July is lechon Kawali, pancit, pork gisantes and pork adobo fried rice. It's good to get this or mixed plate with 3 choices. It allows to try more of their menu selections. While one is good 3 or 4 is much better especially if coming here for the very first time. You won't be disappointed. I called in to place my order and it would be twenty minutes which is fine cause that's how long it took me to get there. The food was hot and ready to go. I made sure my ac was off so I can enjoy a nice hot lunch. The place was crowded even at 1pm. People know good food when they eat it. Lots of parking. The lechon Kawali was good. It's nice and meaty with some nice soft fat pieces. Oh so good. Yeah if you are worried about cholesterol then this might not be for you. If not you gonna enjoy it. The pancit is good. The pork gisantes which is more commonly known as pork and peas is really good. It's like stew and you wanna mix your rice with it. If you like eggs over easy then you should have that over your gisantes. It's sooooooo good. Kinda like Loco moco except it's stew. When that yolk breaks and blends in with the gisantes hoo boy. Just really good stuff there. Then the main attraction is their pork adobo fried rice omelet. I believe they were the original restaurant that brought it out. I might be wrong but they make it just right. Every bite is so good especially when you bite into one that has fat in it. Yummy. Yeah not a good choice if you're staying away from cholesterol but if not you're gonna enjoy it. The pork adobo fried rice is not dry like some other places I've tried. Ok I admit i love filipino food. I had to get dinuguan. Chocolate meat. Another winner with rice and really good with over eggs on top of it. Nice tender succulent pieces of pork. Oh my God, it's so good. I also got Shanghai lumpia. This is da bomb. You gotta eat this one hot and fresh. If not it gets stale and soggy so I ate this first. You dip it into vinegar. I like a little heat so I add Tabasco to it. Great with beer. It's so good. I'm missing it already. Then the final dish i got was their sari sari. It's soup with mixed veggies, baby shrimp and lechon. The soup is delicious and comforting. It's great on a cold night or maybe when you're feeling sick. Better than your chicken noodle soup for sure. It's also great remedy for that hangover you got last night. Lol All in all you just gotta try it. Let me know what you got and how good it tasted. Enjoy and thank me later.

My adobo was *almost* as good as my mom's. If they had more sauce to put on the rice, it would have been perfect. Even before we could get to our chair, she shouts out about 5 dishes they were out of with her back turned to us. This lady was cold and absurdly rude. We left and ended up just getting dinner from Foodland. I would've loved to have spent my money on a Filipino owned restaurant but it seemed that lady didn't want the business and never cared to help anyone that came through her restaurant. Such a very disappointing experience. I rarely drop 1 star reviews but I walked away stunned at the lack of customer service this lady displayed. Do yourself a favor and go to Elena's. They actually care about their restaurant and the people who spend their hard earned money there. I'll never be coming back. There is a chicken + meat combo that allows you to upgrade the meat to ribeye; we ordered this plate with all green salad. Then we ordered the King Kam ahi katsu with rice and upgraded the side to imitation crab salad. If you love sauce, this is for you. Their fried items are nicely cooked, the ahi katsu had a nice rare center and the boneless chicken was still juicy, but both lost their crispness under a mountain of seasoned soy sauce, Kewpie mayo, sriracha aioli, and sweet chili sauce. With the additional garlic, katsuobushi, furikake, and green onion, these are flavor bombs. The ribeye had a nice char from the grill. It's served with a side of crack sauce which has a vinegar, fish sauce base, plus chili, garlic and cilantro. The heat from the steak and chicken withered the bed of green salad underneath, so we didn't eat it; serves us right for not getting rice and mac salad with a plate lunch. At Kingz, more is more. The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo).
