Chicken and waffle
Karen T.

Service was quick, we called the order in and drove down to get it. By the time we found parking the food was ready. It is a small place and being a bit large, it was a little difficult to get to the register to pay. Girls were really nice and the food was pretty good.

First stop on the island was pretty spot on service and food. The ube French toast and adobo omelette with spam was ALOHA. It's a small establishment so you have to wait outside til they call you. I would return for more good eats.

Everything was solid. Very friendly staff and very diverse menu with so many options. Food came out very quickly and presented well. The waffles were pretty standard but the haupia sauce (added ube mascarpone sauce) made it perfect without being too sweet. The star was da three bite feast. We can definitely tell that these are the top sellers because each one tasted amazing and the perfect go-to if you want a mix of sweet a savory. The pancakes were very soft and not too sweet since the sauce was drizzled on. The crab cake benedict was very crispy and better than we expected! The waygu loco moco had gravy that was nice and smooth. Definitely our new favorite go-to on the menu. The only down side is that the location is small but we came early so we had no problems getting a seat.

There's a reason the wait is over an hour on a weekend morning -- Guieb Cafe might be small, but showcases beautiful, ono food that'll make the wait worth it! Not to mention, the staff are so kind and gracious, even when the atmosphere is packed. My friends and I had such a hard time deciding what to pick, but I got the Ube Marscapone pancakes, and I don't regret it. They were delicious, fluffy, and HUGE! Easy on the eyes and stomach. :) Parking is great, it's in a neighborhood of warehouse-like structures, and free if you're going for brunch, I'd recommend going early, but worth a try every time!

Guieb Cafe has several locations on O'ahu and this was my first time trying out this location. We visited this establishment as part of a group and service was great! We had to wait a bit to be seated, but it was worth the wait. This location is smaller and has less seating available than the Wahiawa location. The food was served hot and fresh, and it was delicious as usual. Highly recommend! 15 photos should be included with this review.

Bangus (milkfish) paired with an adobo rice omelet.
Pauline T.

Came for brunch and they did not disappoint! Kept it savory with the classic Filipino breakfast: perfectly crispy Bangus (milkfish) paired with an adobo rice omelet. For the sweet side, you already know we had to get the Ube Waffle. They come topped with a rich ube mascarpone, fresh berries, and a beautiful orchid. If you love ube, this is incredibly ube-forward but hits with just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. Definitely adding this spot to the regular rotation!

Amazing customer service from the lady that answered the phone to take my order and when I got there the two ladies that helped me! Very fast, friendly, and efficient. Treated me like family!!! Cooks in the back went the extra mile too, to fold the fruits INTO my pancakes! Wow. Atmosphere was very inviting and clean. Great job is an understatement! Guieb Cafe everyone knows the food is always so Ono. But now you know the Aiea staff is bomb! A little bit extra love goes a long way. Will definitely continue to support!

Local favorites with a twist! Appealing choices to select for B & L. Orchid adds a pop of color to entrees. Plethora of free parking in Harbor Center. Instructed to check in with the front staff. First come, first serve for five people or less. We're fortunate to have the last unoccupied table. Highly recommend calling restaurant to make reservations if it's for six or more people. Mom loved the simplicity and freshness of belgian waffles. Son enjoyed generous three stack of oreo cheesecake pancakes. He said it wasn't too sweet. Amazingly delicious crab cakes benedict! Loved how the yolks flowed freely after piercing eggs benedict. Crab cakes, hollandaise sauce, paprika, avocado, and English muffins integrated perfectly with each other. Yummy, crisp sweet potato fries complemented the remaining yolk and sweet, tangy ketchup. Colorful plates, beautiful presentation and delicious meals made a huge difference. Attentive, helpful, quick, efficient, and friendly staff. Quaint ambiance. AC working well. Limited seats are quickly occupied with dine in customers. Turn around times seem fast. There's a 3% surcharge for credit card(s). Highly recommend.

Food is not worth it. Ver pricey and expensive. My bangus was the size of my hand if not smaller

Thank you for being open on Thanksgiving Day! We did a take out just so we can eat at home and watch Macy's Parade on TV. Big portion and you can definitely share. Ube pancake was on the drier side but it came with whipped Ube cream topping so make sure you spread generously. Da Local omelette was definitely packed with lots of local proteins with sweet potato fries. That was different.

1. To be seated, go to the cashier to be added to the list 2. Really small restaurant - be prepared to know your neighbors 3. 10% Military discount This restaurant came highly recommended and I'm glad I got the chance to finally come! The ube haupia was my favorite dish and it's cool that they have a "Filipino favorites" section on the menu!

Ube haupia French toast dipped in ube & coconut flakes. On the side: purple "ooze" and a creamy haupia sauce.

Wow! One of the best discoveries on our visit to O'ahu! The place was cozy and inviting, and the staff was so hospitable ... a quintessential trait of our Filipino culture, if I do say so myself. The menu had all the classics, along with some delectable twists. We ordered the longsilog and the ube haupia French toast. Had to take them to-go because the place was at full capacity with more ppl waiting outside! Yeah, it's pretty fantastic.

Ube and mascarpone pancakes

When I heard about the Ube pancakes, I had to have them. It's a tiny unassuming restaurant, what might be perceived as a hole-in-the-wall, but a hidden gem. It was a full house for breakfast, so we sat at the counter. My daughter and I shared the pancakes. Beautiful Ube and mascarpone, Deliciously purple fluffy pancakes. A flavor sensation. Very friendly service. Go! 13

Anyone tried the oxtail soup? Any good?

Yes, I tried it. I tried it a week after I saw another patron order it and ate every drop. I asked her what she thought and she said she liked it, so I had it the following week. It is 3.5 stars to me. The broth isn't as rich and deep as the flavor… Read more

From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Everything tasted great, and the student who served us made us feel very comfortable. They checked in often to see how the food was and whether we needed drink refills. The service was truly five-star. We loved every dish, especially because the flavors were well balanced and never overpowering. The blueberry scones were not too sweet and paired perfectly with the cream cheese. The salad starter was fresh, and the phyllo was crunchy and flavorful on its own. The crab was delicious and well prepared. For the main course, I had the pork loin with apricot and prune. The sweet and savory flavors worked beautifully together, and the meat was perfectly cooked and not dry at all. For dessert, I ordered the Pots de Crème au Chocolate. It was rich and indulgent without being overly sweet -- the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, this was a five-star experience, and I will definitely be booking another reservation again.

The place has been bought so a complete renovation with lovely new chairs, tables, couches, even a fire pit! Inside there are TVs abound and a nice full bar with 10 seats and TV. The breakfast menu is pretty darn good and hats off to their chef! It's healthy, delicious, nice portions! They are having an Easter Brunch on April 20 with an extensive buffet (posted pic of menu) for $75 adults, $45 for ages 4-12 and free for kids 3 and under. Location: Kitchen Deja Vu is located inside the Blue Tropix Bar & Grill, which just so happens to be right across the Chili's from Pearlridge Center. Parking: Plenty! You can park anywhere in the Pearlridge Center parking lot Food: We ordered 5 items 1) pan fried pork cheese buns: 10/10 - pillowy soft bread expertly soaks up all the juices from the pork filling, perfectly pan fried bottom adds a bit of crunchy texture, pork filling was seasoned well and there was a decent amount of cheese inside as well (it was giving pizza flavor vibes), supposedly "spicy" but it wasn't too bad at all so this would be good even for those with a low spice tolerance 2) pulehu style short ribs: 10/10 - incredible smoked and grilled flavor, cooked and seasoned to perfection! They're not stingy either, nice portion size and a hearty amount of meat on each short rib too 3) big shrimp potstickers: 11/10 - succulent pork & shrimp filling filled to the brim of wrapper! Very on brand because these buggahs was massive and sooo tasty! Classic potsticker taste and there's a whole shrimp in there too, paired with their shoyu vinegar (I think) sauce and wooo this one was winnnahz ‍ 4) charsui udon: 10/10 - nice & chewy udon noodles and absolutely loaded with charsui and veggies that were so wonderfully stir fried allowing them to soften just a little but remain crispy, adding another layer of texture to the dish and ensuring you get a nice little crunch in every bite! 5) kau yuk (caramelized pork belly): 10/10 - big chunks of sweet & savory pork belly, but not as sweet as the name would have you think. It's actually perfectly balanced, you can definitely taste some authentic asian spices going on in there, and the meat was nice and tender Service: 11/10 We ordered take out but you can absolutely dine in if you wanted to, plenty of booths and/or tables to choose from. But I did wanna mention that we were lucky enough to meet Charlie, the owner! Really nice guy, after we gave him our order, our server Kyle took such good care of us. Checked in on us multiple times & offered to get us some water while waiting for our food. Overall: 10/10 Food was delicious, the chefs obviously know what's good, hats off to them! First time trying this place out and it didn't disappoint and love that you can also order directly from your phone through all major food delivery apps or you can even text your order in, how convenient!
