I hate to leave a bad review & have been a fan of Gus' BBQ for many years but the quality has gone downhill. Our recent order on 2/11/26 of 2 Tri trip steaks with 2 sides was inedible for myself & my boyfriend. Both of us found our individual tri tip steaks tough & gamy and were only able to sift through pieces to find anything we could actually eat. At $40 a person after taxes for our combo this was extremely disappointing after a long days work where we were both starving! The side dishes however were still extremely good! But at $8 a side dish, I didn't plan on spending $40 bucks a person to only be able to eat our 2 sides. We ordered through door dash & was only refunded $10. For our $81.88 purchase. On a side note, I normally I cook steak every night for my boyfriend, but today as we got home late & we just didn't have the time. The prime beef brisket in the sandwich was dry and I think the kitchen was trying to hide this by generously slathering it in bbq sauce. The butter can be a bit on the hard almost frozen side. Deviled eggs are almost always a ust get. THey top with chives and bacon. Salt mix for extra seasoning.
