My family of 4 (including 2 small children) enjoyed our time at Guy's Burbank location. It is a very fast-paced environment. Our server Marco was awesome! He maintained control over many tables and patrons with ease and efficiency. Although it is an airport facility, Marco made it feel like a comfortable living room where everyone was welcome. His attitude was that of kindness and sincerity that made us feel warm and thankful. What a gem! Marian was not our server however, you could tell she was a helpful member of the team. The whole experience was positive because of the kindness of the people working there. The food was crunchy, classic Guy and hit the spot. Fuck this place. Service from this chick named Marisol was so shitty and slow, WE MISSED OUR FLIGHT. She said food will take 10min, then kept saying "it'll be right out" when we would check in on it. She had no sense of urgency whatsoever that another waitress had to check the kitchen and make sure our food was actually coming out. It's one thing to lie about the wait time on food.. but to lie about the wait time on food when they know you have a flight to catch. The food was also underwhelming. Ok. First off, I have to say thank you to Guy & his people for finally saving Terminal 2 from it's food misery. It's about time someone realized how desperate the food situation has been here. Secondly ... YUMMY! A mistake was made & our order wasn't put in. We had to wait an extra 30 mins., but I have to say, even the extra wait was worth it. The wings & chicken tacos were INCREDIBLE!! The Cadillac Margaritas were SUPER EXPENSIVE, but when they're great, you complain "a little less" about the $52 billz TWO drinks. The room itself could really use some remodeling & I think they should come down slightly in price at the bar as 2 drinks for $52 is truly absurd, (the only reason I gave it a 4 rather than a 5) but without a doubt we'll be back! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. I walked in and had to seat myself because the entire wait staff stood in a corner talking to each other about what sections to cover without actually doing anything. I never received a menu or water, in fact no one ever even bothered to come by my table the entire time I was there. Was able to find a table for the two of us. It was crowded. Right after we sat down the waitress took the order of the people next to (nearly on top of) us. Then we sat and waited. And waited. No one approached or even made eye contact. We didn't realize you could go order at the counter also until we read the other reviews on here. We were already shocked at the prices. Stopped here for a bite before my flight and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I had the Trashcan Nachos and an alcoholic beverage or two. The nachos were phenomenal! Not only was the presentation factor spot on (a la Guy Fieri), the brisket was tender and flavorful, the cheeses were melty, and the toppings were plentiful. It's a huge order so there was no way I could finish the whole thing, but I sure tried! Service was great; the servers were attentive and I didn't have to wait long for anything. The waitress did apologize for the situation. This comment is for the cook. One thing is for the rice to be cold but another is to serve it frozen. I'm not a Guy fan - I have managed to avoid his many establishments across our fair nation, and the NY Times review of his late and unlamented Times Square location remains one of my favorite restaurant reviews ever. So when I saw Flavortown had landed at the Burbank Airport, I had to give it a try and see if it lived up (or down, as the case may be) to the NYT review. My expectation was that whatever I ordered would taste okay for about two bites when it was right off of the grill, and then would descend into mediocrity or worse while descending to room temperature. I went with the Brisket Banh Mi, and it completely lived up to my expectations. After two warm bites (with a dab of Donkey Sauce and the standard Banh Mi veggies) that were kind of okay, the rest of the sandwich was a dull slog through chewy, dry brisket with the only identifiable flavor being what seemed like an OD of ersatz smoke. (This sandwich appears to be a takeoff on a similar offering by a DDD alumnus, Oh Mai Sandwich Kitchen in Salt Lake City.) I'd give one star, but (1) the staff were unfailingly pleasant and attentive, and (2) the menu and its hyperbolic purple prose did not fail to satisfy, from an ironic standpoint. read more

Seriously! The chilaquiles are a joke. They are basically dry nachos with an egg on top. Guy has a restaurant in San Diego. San Diego serves up some of the best chilaquiles ever! He knows better. Big disappointment. This place takes advantage of being the only restaurant in the terminal. read more

We really liked this place. The Bloody Mary was amazing! We shared the Chilaquiles and each got a fried Egg to go with it. We liked it very much also. The only reason I am not doing 5 stars is they were short on help. Only 1 server that was acting as bartender and server for everyone. We felt bad for her. read more
