Was able to find a table for the two of us. It was crowded. Right after we sat down the waitress took the order of the people next to (nearly on top of) us. Then we sat and waited. And waited. No one approached or even made eye contact. We didn't realize you could go order at the counter also until we read the other reviews on here. We were already shocked at the prices. I know it's an airport but it's Burbank. And it's not even done yet! $16 for a 6 oz wine? It was cheaper at the LAX International terminal. Not a great value. For the prices charged, i would have expected 1) real utensils instead of disposal, 2) two slices of toast with my avocado toast instead of one 3). How about some fresh bread instead of store-bought loaf like i buy at the market ? I would have enjoyed a Starbucks breakfast sandwich and a vente latte a whole lot more for the money. read more

This has to be one of the absolute worst experiences i've ever had in a restaurant inside of an airport. Every waiter/hostess is extremely rude. Not a single one has a sense of urgency and or any means of respectfully dealing with any sort of customer. I will never be coming here again. read more

Great food, but the waitresses suck! My husband and I asked the waitress for 20min to give the check, she served two tables while we asked. So we asked the other two waitresses they said "ok we'll get it" and they didn't. We had to stand up and say "hey we're about to miss the flight we got to go". Can the customer service be any worse in America/California? You figure this place would be decent being that it's one of Hollywood's famous chefs restaurant but the servers were super rude, didn't want to take any orders, I asked the girl if I could get the cheese on the side and she ( heavier Spanish girl with bad red lipstick) acted like I was asking for a million dollars, like seriously? I just left because with attitudes like that guaranteed the food will be horrible so I left but noticed I didn't have my boarding pass well lucky for me this airport is so small my gate is literally feet away, so I ask another girl (Spanish girl with glasses) If anyone turned in a boarding pass or picked it up from the table I was sitting at like 5 seconds ago, she immediately says no and says no one cleaned the table all while holding the menu book in her hand that she picked up off the table and I see my boarding pass in it, so I'm like that's the menu I had I see my boarding pass. Stopped here for a bite before my flight and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I had the Trashcan Nachos and an alcoholic beverage or two. The nachos were phenomenal! Not only was the presentation factor spot on (a la Guy Fieri), the brisket was tender and flavorful, the cheeses were melty, and the toppings were plentiful. It's a huge order so there was no way I could finish the whole thing, but I sure tried! Service was great; the servers were attentive and I didn't have to wait long for anything. Ordered their tuna poke bowl and the bed of rice was frozen. Told the waiter, she told the cook who then said it was supposed to be that way because it was a fish dish. Seriously? The waitress did apologize for the situation. This comment is for the cook. One thing is for the rice to be cold but another is to serve it frozen. I'm not a Guy fan - I have managed to avoid his many establishments across our fair nation, and the NY Times review of his late and unlamented Times Square location remains one of my favorite restaurant reviews ever. So when I saw Flavortown had landed at the Burbank Airport, I had to give it a try and see if it lived up (or down, as the case may be) to the NYT review. My expectation was that whatever I ordered would taste okay for about two bites when it was right off of the grill, and then would descend into mediocrity or worse while descending to room temperature. I went with the Brisket Banh Mi, and it completely lived up to my expectations. After two warm bites (with a dab of Donkey Sauce and the standard Banh Mi veggies) that were kind of okay, the rest of the sandwich was a dull slog through chewy, dry brisket with the only identifiable flavor being what seemed like an OD of ersatz smoke. (This sandwich appears to be a takeoff on a similar offering by a DDD alumnus, Oh Mai Sandwich Kitchen in Salt Lake City.) I'd give one star, but (1) the staff were unfailingly pleasant and attentive, and (2) the menu and its hyperbolic purple prose did not fail to satisfy, from an ironic standpoint. read more

Seriously! The chilaquiles are a joke. They are basically dry nachos with an egg on top. Guy has a restaurant in San Diego. San Diego serves up some of the best chilaquiles ever! He knows better. Big disappointment. This place takes advantage of being the only restaurant in the terminal. read more

We really liked this place. The Bloody Mary was amazing! We shared the Chilaquiles and each got a fried Egg to go with it. We liked it very much also. The only reason I am not doing 5 stars is they were short on help. Only 1 server that was acting as bartender and server for everyone. We felt bad for her. read more
