    Menu on the door

This was our first time trying Gyu Jinya in Quartz Hill, and overall we had a good experience. The restaurant itself is really nice aesthetically very clean, light, airy, and modern. We went around lunchtime and it was pretty empty, so we were able to choose our own table and relax. We told the waitress it was our first time there, so we ordered a little bit of everything to try different items on the menu. We ordered the ribeye shabu-shabu hotpot, cheese tonkatsu, a kids chicken katsu meal, and the fire dragon roll. The ribeye hotpot was good, and I would order it again. The only thing is that the broth tasted more like a basic soup base rather than a rich, deeply flavored broth that's been simmered for hours like some other hotpot places. Still enjoyable, just not super flavorful. The cheese tonkatsu was interesting to try, but personally not my favorite. It was basically fried chicken topped with a lot of cheese. The girls there mentioned it's a popular dish, but it just wasn't for me. I probably wouldn't order that again. The fire dragon roll was okay too. Despite the name, it wasn't spicy, and it could've used a little more flavor overall. The regular chicken katsu was a safe option for our child since he doesn't eat spicy food. Service was good, prices were fair, and the portions were generous. We actually ended up taking leftovers home because there was a lot of food. Overall, I would come back and try different things on the menu. Even though a couple dishes weren't exactly my taste, it was still a good experience and worth trying if you're looking for a local spot in Quartz Hill.

    - Service and friendliness: 10/10 - Cleanliness: 10/10 (didn't use the restroom, but the dining room was spotless) - Food: 7/10 we got a little of everything. Chicken katsu was a solid 7/10, cucumber salad 5.5/10, hot pot 7/10 great flavor/could feed about three people as an appetizer or side/serving utensils need to be more thought out though a bigger ladle would have helped/noodles in the soup were delicious but there wasn't enough in my opinion, sushi 6/10 this is not what I'd come here fore but it's was tasty and gives great variety to the menu, Thai tea 6.5/10 wasn't too sweet which I loved but it lacked in the Thai flavor a bit. We were a party of three and all left stuffed for about $75 before the tip. Honestly a great little spot and must try.

The food is genuinely good. In look at this dish as the Japanese replication of a cordon Blue but with chicken and no ham. Served with cold sides that was perfect for a summers day. One bit of the crispy chicken katsu and it was perfect.

The food was delicious and everything came out fresh and hot. The server was very nice and he helped answer all of our questions which made choosing the food easier.

Got the pork katsu set that was supposed to come with a salad, but they were out of the salad. Everything was just ok, nothing spectacular about the food. I prob won't be back.

Found this place while visiting family today. Advertised as "re-grand opening" and I'd say CONGRATULATIONS! We got 3 sets of chicken katsu, 1 set with cheese, a takoyaki, and a white dragon roll (California roll topped with yellow tail). Service was fast. Servers were nice. Establishment was clean. Price point on the affordable side.

Server spilled soy sauce and continues to walk past it even though she knows it's there

Came in from positive reviews Sunday afternoon 2/22/26. Extremely disappointed with the service, I watched a table walk out from waiting for the server ( Isabell I believe), we almost walked out as well because it was only 2 other tables that already had food. And she didn't come to even get our drink order for at least 5 minutes. By the time she came over we were already ready to order our complete meal. Our server spilled soy sauce and has noticed it spill but continues to walk past it. Never came to check on if we liked our food. We had to ask her for plates more than once to even eat our food.

Shabu-shabu, 2 tiger dragon rolls and a california roll.

Decided to try this place out but as soon as we walked in we were greeted with country music blasting. The server Isabel was insanely rude. We ordered 3 sushi plates and she only gave us one soy sauce tray so my sister kindly asked if she could get her another one and Isabel replied "I already brought this one for you". Mind you, 3 of us ordered our own sushi rolls and she was expecting us all to share one sauce tray reaching over eachother??? Besides that, it's just not sanitary either. Most sushi places usually give each person who orders sushi an individual soy sauce tray. The shabu-shabu was ok but the soup wasn't that good and the tiger dragon rolls were drenched in the sauce that made it insanely sweet, over-powering the taste of everything else. All the sushi was brought out on one plate and she didn't even bring an extra plate for me to eat on and I didn't want to be met with her attitude again so I just didn't ask her for a plate. No follow-up either on asking how the food was. I honestly don't recommend this place.

Very Uncomfortable Experience at Farmer Bros in Lancaster, CA…read more I'm extremely disappointed with the experience my children and I had at the Farmer Bros in Lancaster, California. I'm African-American, and my daughter is only five years old. She is a very friendly, sweet child who loves talking to people and showing them her little toys. During our visit, my daughter tried to interact with one of the cashiers, a woman who had blonde streaks in her hair and clear glasses. My daughter was showing her a squishy toy and trying to talk to her, but the cashier continued staring at my daughter without responding or acknowledging her. My daughter eventually walked away. As her mother, it was heartbreaking and uncomfortable to watch, especially because my daughter had done absolutely nothing wrong. One of the other cashiers was named Gabriella. She had burgundy-colored hair. I did not get the name of the cashier with the glasses, although I believe her name on her badge may have been Jasmine. After I received my food, I went to my car with my children. There was a coupon in my bag for two cheeseburgers, so because my children wanted them, I went back inside to place another order. At that point, Gabriella and the cashier with the blonde streaks and clear glasses began whispering to each other. Gabriella looked directly at me, and when I looked back at them, they turned around. I cannot say exactly what they were saying, but the situation made me feel extremely uncomfortable and gave me the impression that I was being talked about. Whether that was their intention or not, customer service is about making customers feel welcomed and respected, not uncomfortable or unwelcome. The entire experience left me and my children feeling very uneasy. It is especially sad to me that in 2026, people can still walk into a business and feel like they are being treated differently because of the color of their skin. I am not saying that I know exactly what was in these employees' hearts or what they were saying, but the way the situation unfolded made me question whether my family was being treated differently because we are African-American. I strongly encourage management to address this situation and provide additional training on professionalism, customer service, and appropriate workplace behavior around customers. Whispering and looking at customers in a way that makes them feel targeted or uncomfortable is not appropriate. My daughter is five years old. She should be able to walk into a business, smile, talk to someone, and show them her little toy without feeling ignored or unwelcome. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider returning to this location. I hope management takes this review seriously and uses it as an opportunity to make sure every customer and every child who walks through those doors feels respected, welcomed, and treated equally.

We come here every now and then, and the service is always consistently friendly. This visit was no different. Ordering was smooth, and they even brought the food out to our table, which we appreciated. I ordered the shrimp nachos, and we also got another order of shrimp nachos for the table. My brother went with a chicken bowl due to dietary restrictions, and my husband ordered a burrito. Everything tasted really good overall. The only downside for me was that the shrimp nachos didn't have as much shrimp as I expected.Just a few pieces here and there. Aside from that, the flavors were on point with the sour cream, pico de gallo, and cheese. The ambiance is casual, clean, and relaxed. Perfect for a quick bite with family. It's a comfortable spot where you can sit down, enjoy your meal, and not feel rushed. Overall, we had a great experience.
