    Half of my Everything bagel
    Larry G.

Being from the NY Metro area I counted down the days when I heard H&H Bagels was opening in Tampa. I was in the area so I made it a point to stop in and give them a try. I noticed that the prices were pretty hefty but I guess that comes with the understanding that the bagels are shipped in raw and frozen to capture all the goodness that NYC water gives to bagels and pizzas. They are then freshly baked at the Tampa location. The bagel was extremely enjoyable, nice crispy crunch on the outside with a nice chew to them. I ordered an everything bagel with lox and chive cream cheese. There was a good amount of cream cheese a schmeard (think NY) on the bagel and it was satisfying. But between the distance to the location from Dunedin and the price I would just assume stay local and enjoy St. Pete bagel company or Clearwater bagels.

The bagel here was good, but didn't quite live up to my expectations. I ordered online, where it told me it would be a 40 minute wait, and when I arrived 30 minutes later it was ready and waiting for me. The problem with this is that the bagel sandwich was already cold, which isn't ideal for eggs and cheese. The cheese also wasn't melted enough for my liking. The bagel itself was pretty good and they fill it with a good amount of fillings, especially for a pretty low price. The inside was clean and the staff was friendly, I just would recommend ordering there rather than online.

Top notch, excellent bagels. Very good drip coffee and they're cracking fresh eggs. Good service and the place is bright and clean.

I knew I was going to Carrollwood that morning. I *didn't know I was going to NY Bagel and Bean…read more Thanks, Yelp! You did me well! This cozy little shop is located in Carrollwood Village... a huge housing development, that somehow-innearly 36 years of living here-I had never been to until now. But missing a turn, led to some exploring and then, some bageling! New York Bagel and Bean is in a plaza at the corner of South Village and West Village. The joint was jumping when I was there at 11am on a Wednesday. It was difficult to find a parking spot, but so worth it. The shop is very homey and welcoming-with several tables and homespun decor. The owner (or manager) was very friendly and helpful. I felt truly appreciated. I felt bad I was only ordering one bagel. It was big and the perfect texture. And then... came the honey butter. Honey butter, people! It's happening! This was not a drill! It was delicious! Decadent, yes-but the perfect accompaniment. I may be in love! Should I move to Carrollwood Village just to be closer? Maybe!!! I'lll report back!

I love that they have premade recipes so you don't have to make up your own bagel and mannnnn do they hit! I've had 3 different sandwiches now from them because I can't stop going back and they've all been stellar. Two amazing things to highlight that sets Pete's apart. 1. They offer a punch card! idk about y'all but I LOVE A PUNCH CARD! 2. There is a dog park attached to the patio so even if you don't bring your pup with you, there is plenty of cutie pie entertainment while you eat. Not only are the bagels incredible, but the matcha is bangin! My wife and I always get the lavender matcha and it has never missed. For the best experience, I'd recommend to go early and to sit outside. Because the line gets long, it's gets a bit cumbersome to eat inside PLUSSSS not only do you get pup entertainment but since they're in Ybor, you get free chicken entertainment. Who doesn't love a good nature scene when eating the best bagel you've ever had. One last great thing about Pete's is that they have bike parking and plenty of it. Makes for a lovely Sunday morning ride to brunch!

They are super busy but the ambiance is super chill lending it self to have conversations. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwich is perfection. As a New Yorker I'm a pretty hard critic on BEC bagels but trust me this is delicious. The bagel has just the right crunch on the outside but perfect on the inside and they do no cheat you on the bacon. Glad to say I actually got a photo this time before devouring my meal.

The only downside honestly is the service. I had to explain multiple times how I wanted the sandwich made with the toppings side by side and the person taking the order just wasn't really understanding what I was asking for. Even after explaining it again, it still wasn't clicking, which was frustrating. I've noticed this pretty much every time we come here. The staff never really seems approachable or friendly and the customer service could definitely improve, especially when tips are being requested. A smile and better communication would honestly make such a huge difference because the food is genuinely great. We also tried the matcha latte for the first time, and unfortunately it wasn't good at all. Maybe it's new, but it definitely needs some improvement. Overall, we still love coming here because the food keeps us coming back, but the service has consistently been lacking. Realistically the service is probably a 3, but because we love the place and the food so much, I'll still give it a 4.

The drought is over…read more You absolute mad hatters for putting a Ruben on a bagel. Absolutely smashed it. If you look at my reviews I haven't been the nicest to bagel shops around these parts. Going into Hyde park I didn't think they would be the saviors for the genre but they have gone and done it. A smash and grab operation. Swept me off my feet with an Asiago bagel with Ruben fillings (yeah they toasted it and applied all toppings themselves. Even cut it...other shops, take note) But yeah an odd order but it worked out so well. I loved it. Also tried a regular everything bagel and it did everything it needed to do. Hit all aspects of what a bagel needs to be and delivered. (Not pictured) Now you may see the photo of a purple bagel with blue cream cheese...did I order this, absolutely not. Did it kinda hit...yes...yes it did. Heres the deal chat, I will try weird things but I do need to also try to basics, like an everything bagel to really gauge things. This spot ripped. Prices are good too, 11 bones for a Ruben bagel. Yeah yeah I'll take that. A fun suprise and a location that will see me more often trying new things. Shoutout you all for making bagels that are actually bagels not gimmicks.

The lady behind the counter was not exactly welcoming, but she wasn't rude either. I told her hello and asked her how she was doing and she gave me a curt reply of "fine". I ordered the smoked BLT bagel sandwich on an everything bagel. The employee were treated to the back and swiftly made my food. I did appreciate that the sandwich was cut in half because it is quite large. The amount of bacon and cheese and tomato and lettuce topped with che cheese on the sandwich were plentiful. There's also a free water station set up for the guest use. The bagel seemed very fresh.

5-star update for one of my favorite Tampa restaurants! Psomi is a must-go for breakfast/brunch…read moreevery time I'm in town. I most recently took my sister here for the first time while we were visiting for a concert and she loved it, too! We started with iced baklava lattes and the greek donuts (loukoumades) drizzled with honey and this was actually my first time have these here. They're served hot and fresh -- absolutely delicious! When I want something light for breakfast, my go-to is the Everything but the Bagel yogurt bowl (house cured wild caught salmon, cucumber, pickled red onion, tomato, crispy capers, & everything seasoning). It's such a fresh gorgeous bowl, packed with protein. I also love their extra thick cut bacon on the side. My sis got the strapatsada which is a breakfast classic on their menu (greek scramble with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, & grilled baguette). It's a very generous portion and she had a good amount leftover to take home. Of course, you can't leave without a few pastries for the road! They are a bakery-first concept and all of their breads and baked goods are made in-house. We got the baklava coffee cake and brioche bread pudding muffin to-go. Psomi never disappoints!
