I purchased some items online and went in store to return the items that were not needed or did not fit. Jackie the manager would not accept the 26$ bundle underwear in return die to package being opened. How is customer suppose to be able to know if something fits if they do not open it. As a fellow retail employee I know under garments CAN BE RETURNED AND DEFECTED. She decided to instead argue with me instead of trying to help me. After speaking with online services they apologized and accepted the return. CHANGE YOUR RETURN POLICY FOR UNDER GARMENTS! Make your customers happy. This store is a disaster. It's like a low version of Walmart. The clothing is in an unorganized display and you have to go on a haphazard search for a different size of the style. The sizing tags are so difficult to read and when you finally figure the code out, the clothing is who knows where. The down escalator is broken, but you are not forewarned so when you get upstairs you are basically trapped along with several hundred people. They have the down escalator blocked off so that you cannot simply walk down it as stairs. The line to the elevator wrapped along the whole second floor and there's no way out. Huge fire hazard and extremely inconvenient! Won't be setting foot in here ever again. read more

Terrible service at this location. Mean uncompetitive manager (the bold guy with a sparking earring and tattoos) same as the cashier girl at the counter -If the manager is like that what can you expect from the rest of the customer service reps? I brought in the store 7 bags of recycling clothes which you SHOULD get one coupon of 15% off for each bag. The "manager" (the bold guy I described) said that it was not like that, so he wanted to give me ONLY ONE coupon for the 7 bags!!! I disagreed and told him that on the App, Web & Stores (EVERYWHERE) on H&M is advertised that you get 1 coupon PER bag. He just didn't want to honor that. So, as I'm leaving the counter to take my bags to the Costa Mesa location, the girl at the counter tried to pull my bags in!!! Unbelievable!!! I finally took my bags to the Costa Mesa location and the guy at the store even gave me an extra coupon!!! That to me is real customer service. Where they make you feel you are a valuable customer because at the end H&M is making money out of you recycled clothes. Do not let anybody intimidate you just because they are behind a counter or so called "manager". I do not recommend to this location. They don't deserve our business. read more

I love H&M because they always have these little finds that make you go for it! Located in the furthest corner closest to target and near all the children's stores. The store is separated and has a guy and girl section. Both are pretty big and they have a lot of stuff. They have these shoes you can get for 30 or sometimes 20, not something I'd be up for it but to each their own. I do like the plain shirts or polos they sell and their pants that are dressy are great for when you got invited to a formal causal event last minute and you don't have some nice pants. They have comfy sweaters and over all they are just a good store. I bought these pants for thirty and they fit great, because I tried them on, so yeah there are fitting rooms and plenty of people to help you out around the store. This is a great location. Always has sales and you'll find your size for the most part. This review is specifically for Nathan the cashier. I could tell he was continuously smiling even behind his mask and helping each customer with genuine care. It's hard to get that type of service with a world pandemic happening throughout the world. Cashier is horrible. A line of 5 ppl, only 2 cashiers. The girl cashier finished with one customer and didn't care for calling the next. She went and chitchat with the guy cashier, which slowed him down of course. They looked like they didn't care about other ppl's time, like other ppl's time was theirs to spend. Had to stop at this store on Thursday April 21st. They were very busy and I need help finding a few sizes . I flagged down an employee who was coming my way. I could tell she was busy, all the employees were busy but she she stopped to help me. She was very sweet and helpful. As she's helping me I noticed that she was the manager. Being raised in Europe, I grew up shopping at H&M and I was so excited when they finally reached the U.S. years ago! Their window display and mannequins are all merchandised well and showcases their collection. They usually have a good clearance section, where the clothing is either $5, $7, $10, or $20. Also, they have super cute accessories. Their necklaces tend to tarnish after a few weeks of wear, so it's not the best quality, but the prices are reasonable. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars, is that this particular location (at the Irvine Spectrum) doesn't have a children's department, so I prefer the H&M at Mission Viejo Mall. Their children's clothes are super trendy and cute!!!! I wish they would open a children's department at this location so this could be my one-stop-shop for the family. Overall, a great store and excellent customer service!!! read more

M by Madonna dress for $30 on sale, $5 sunglasses on sale. I like these prices. I had visited this H&M location a couple times before but had been put off by long lines but this time, the lines were practically non-existent. The sizing runs small on some of the items so it would be wise to try them on before buying (If you normally wear a size 6, it might be size 8 or even larger here). A dress at the now closed Forth & Towne was a size 2, but the dress I got here was a size 6. H&M doesn't vanity size. Staff here was helpful. If you asked them questions, they were knowledgeable and helpful about the store. read more

I experienced really great customer service here this past weekend. I had a shirt that I thought was on sale but the cashier caught that I grabbed the wrong one and brought it to my attention. She told me to go ahead and grab what I needed instead and she would continue ringing me. She then noticed that the slacks I grabbed weren't ringing on sale and notified me. She then called a gentleman to walk me over to the men's section and point out to me all of the great deals and different sections. He also helped me with sizing. This was all on a busy Saturday, too. I left extremely satisfied and impressed with the customer service at this location. New location (moved across from Apple store) - large, 2 story building! Lots of good selections and generally able to find all sizes. Friendly associates, and have never had to wait long in checkout line even on weekends -- tip, help speed up the checkout process for yourself & others by taking off the hangers yourself! Did you know that H&M is trying to give Bangladesh more money per shirt to help them build a better garment industry and infastructure? No? Neither did I until I listened to an NPR Planet Money podcast on it. (Let's hope the Bengali govn't takes them up on their offer and conditions.) Anyway... that makes me a little more likely to shop at H&M. That being said, this H&M location is much nicer than the ones I normally shop at in AZ and the SF South Bay area. It's big and well-stocked with an easy to follow lay out. That makes shopping easier. I was able to find a few new outfits in much less time than anticipated. We liked it so much that we actually went back the next day so my fiance could find a couple of new outfits, too. For an H&M, this is as good as I've seen. This is my favorite H&M in the Orange County area. It has the perfect mix between business, casual and play clothes all in one location (unlike South Coast Plaza H&M)! I especially appreciate the organization of the store, the cleanliness of the dressing rooms and the efficiency of the lines. By far, my favorite store to come to for most of my needs. P.S. my closet is bigger than the guy's section at this specific H&M.... and i own like only 5 article of clothings... THEY NEED A BIGGER SELECTION FOR GUYS. OK. caps rage end. anyways, the sale rack for the guy section is dismal. they need to expand their selection! However, i have found cheap items that i couldn't find at other H&Ms. It's a hit or miss over here. there are plenty of fitting rooms, so you don't need to worry about the indecisive joe/jane thinking whether the shirt looks good on him or the jeans make her fat ass look fatter. you'll get a fitting room no matter what. This place seems to lack both space and organization. People everywhere, and not enough employees. We ended up standing in line for 15min and there was only two registers open for awhile. The selections are not all grouped together. I was looking for a sport coat and had to walk all over the men's area to find different ones - it would be better if they had them all in the same area and organized in some way (oh, and in larger aisles too). As for the pricing, it's good, but not the best. I was eyeing a coat at Macy's and wanted to check out H&M before buying. At Macy's, it would have cost me $125 (good quality, etc) - a similar piece here would have cost anywhere from $120-$170 for slightly lower quality material. And I got a better quality coat from Marshall's for $75. read more

SO DISAPPOINTED. Went upstairs to find the maternity section and it is literally ONE RACK AND the tiniest section of a wall.... PLUS the fitting rooms were closed upstairs, only the downstairs fitting rooms were open. How much of an afterthought are pregnant women to H&M??? Never coming back here. I'd like to make a complaint about a customer service experience at h and m.  I have also uploaded this message to both google reviews and yelp for the H and M location at the Spectrum in Irvine, Ca, USA.  Terrible service on the part of the manager in regards to a return.Also apathetic to my worries about safety with COVID.I will not be back.  (No name but Manager's physical description at the bottom.). As someone who has worked in the customer service field, and as an 18 year customer of h and m I'm really disappointed.  I live with my elderly parents, both who have had cancer treatment and whose immune systems are more susceptible so I've been trying to not enter stores or meet other people as much as I can.  I recently moved home from Japan (after safely quarantining of course).   My online order was the wrong size and without a tag and the manager accused me of washing the item and saying that it wasn't the item on the receipt (No DUH that's why I'm RETURNING IT, I didn't order this size and how is it my fault the item number doesn't match??).  And I'm very obviously NOT a size zero (as the item was) and why would I wash it?! How would washing it make having the wrong size better?!  How rude to insinuate I was lying instead of trying to help me with the problem.  I just risked my and my family's health to walk into your freaking store. I had already tried to return it online/through the mail and had a really frustrating experience so risked going into the store which I already did NOT want to do, but 40 dollars (for the item they wouldn't let me return) is a lot when you're out of a job and have no clothes (just moved back to the states so I lost a lot of my basics).  So after already being super uncomfortable physically being in the store (even with a mask) the manager said (even though the product mailed to me was wrong at the fault of H and M) that I couldn't get my money back and I could only exchange it.  By the way saying this like he was doing ME a favor or bending the rules. That or I had to call some number about it and mail it back WHICH I already risked coming in the store because the mailing process was so frustrating to figure out anyways!  And online it says "free returns" or mail back your item if it doesn't fit. (see attached photo). So with nothing left to do I had to scramble and grab a couple things so I didn't waste the 40 dollars and just ended up buying a couple random things instead of being able to come back in many months with a credit or being able to order something online with the credit.  The manager had said I could come back within 30 days but AGAIN why would I want to risk walking back into the store with COVID just because the staff were being incredibly unhelpful!  And what a negligence to my safety! I have shopped at h and m since I was about ten years old, so about 18 years and I am really disappointed in this experience, they may have lost a life long customer.  And as someone who moves a lot and has to leave a lot of clothes behind I had really enjoyed shopping at h and m as I could easily restart my life in another country with affordable basic items.  My next moves I will not be shopping at this specific store and probably not at H and M at all.   I didn't ask for any names so here are some descriptions of with those I interacted with.   The manager who "helped" me was a tall gentleman with dark hair and a black mask on Sunday July 21 at around 3:00pm.  (I noticed another manager of a similar description with really nicely done eyebrows who I didn't speak to----To clarify it was not him.) The two ladies at the cash register helped me as much as they could; one latina woman with nice eyebrows and dark hair and one woman of asian ethnicity who had really nice bejeweled nails.  They both were empathetic but the treatment from the manager I mentioned was frustrating enough I don't believe I will be returning to this location. I know that with everything going on with COVID it's an adjustment for a lot of businesses as far as safety concerns but I was  very disappointed in the way that I was treated. read more

Rude employees. I was trying on a jacket for a second and an employee said I couldn't. Does it not make sense to anyone else that we are supposed to take clothes home, put our germs on them from our homes and then bring them back if they don't fit? Instead of just trying them on in the store? This makes absolutely zero sense to me. And I had my mask barely pulled down because I was drinking water for a second and was told to pull it back up by the same employee? Understand this is a difficult time and everybody is doing their best but some of these store practices are absolutely ridiculous and just driving customers away. read more

This is my go to H&M. I always say "I'm just going to look, I'm not going to buy anything." It's almost like reverse psychology... when I actually need a certain item I have no luck. I always go to sales/clearance section first. I find the best stuff here at such a great price! The staff is always very friendly and accommodating (especially when you're in line waiting to pay.) Pearla always has a smile and is incredibly patient when she helps us out at the register. I always have a very delightful shopping experience when I come here. read more

They moved to the new part of the Spectrum in a completely new building, and my (more fashionable) friend wanted to go here. It now has two entrances: one from the parking lot and one from the inside of the mall that is a short distance from the playground PokéStop. They now have two floors with some sections being on the bottom and some being on the top. When we went upstairs it turned out the down escalator was out of order. Are they trying to trap us upstairs? The only other way to get down was via the elevator, so we used that. A little slow waiting for it, but it was the only option at the time. My friend seemed to like the available options but I don't think she bought anything. read more

When I went to purchase a shirt in the sale section the shirt had a discounted price marked with a sticker, and a further discounted price marked in pen ink. When I went to purchase the shirt at the register I was charged the discounted sticker price not the further discounted pen price. When I told the employee of this discrepancy in price I was told they would adjust the price to match the pen ink but that I was being given one of those "only this one time" as if I was being done a favor. The shirt I picked up had those pre-existing pen marks on the tag, as did numerous other clothes in the sales section with other pen marks. Check your inventory and check the tape, you're not doing customers any favors by confusing them with price discrepancy and poor customer experience by belittling them. This store needs a morale boost and improvements to team culture. read more

Pretty great selection on business attire and they even have a little bit of the "Conscious" line at this location. Always clean and easy to move around the store, I feel like this location is always pretty stocked well with inventory. I would rate 5 stars but for some reason I don't get service in the store and their WiFi doesn't always work, so I can't use my H&M app sometimes in the store. Bummer! How dangerous is this place?!? It's pretty bad. The first time i went in here i was looking for shoes. i'm extremely picky about shoes so i left thinking, "this place sucks, i don't know what all the hullabaloo is." (who says 'hullabaloo??') then i went in one day to check out the actual clothes, and man. OH, MAN! SOOOOoo much cheaper than i was expecting! Comparative to Forever 21, which i love because it's hella cheap, the prices at H&M are about equal but the QUALITY is much, much better! The selection is great, the only bad thing about it is if you find a really cute top that fits you perfectly (which you will, i can guarantee it), you want it in a different color? nope. that's it. you get one color of one style. but who cares?! you got a really cute top for $20 that fits like none other! it's on the hipster-y side of style, which is GREAT! :-) clothes you can wear out to parties, to your daytime office job, to dinner with your man or playtime with your girls. everything. (oh, i guess they have dude's clothes here, too. didn't check them out.) but it's pretty dangerous. i spent $80 here in one trip, three tops, a skirt and two necklaces. the skirt... i had been looking for a jean skirt that i liked for about three years, no joke.
