If you're visiting Mizner Park with kids, Sloan's is one of those places that's hard to skip. My…read moredaughters absolutely love it, and honestly, I enjoy coming here too. The first thing that catches your attention is the store itself. It's spotless, beautifully decorated in bright pink, and full of fun details that make it feel magical for kids. The chandeliers are gorgeous, and everywhere you look there's something colorful to see. The ice cream portions are huge! My girls each ordered a chocolate-dipped waffle cone covered with colorful sprinkles--one chose vanilla and the other chocolate. They loved every bite but couldn't even finish half because the servings were so generous. The staff was friendly, patient, and welcoming, even with excited kids trying to decide between all the flavors. Besides ice cream, Sloan's has a surprisingly large selection of toys, gifts, and fun accessories. They even carry adorable treats for dogs, which I thought was such a cute touch. One thing that really surprised me was their collection of novelty mugs. It's not something I'd expect to find in an ice cream shop, but they definitely caught our attention! My older daughter couldn't stop laughing at the mugs shaped like a woman's body. They were funny and unexpected. Personally, my favorite was the Palm Beach bikini mug--I actually know someone who would love it as a gift.

Every visit, I've stood at the counter without being acknowledged while staff focus on phone calls and filling delivery orders. On more than one occasion, I watched employees answer calls and process multiple orders before even making eye contact with me. It genuinely feels like in-store customers are an afterthought. I don't mind waiting when a place is busy, but not being acknowledged at all is a basic service miss. The ice cream may be good, but the customer experience really takes away from it. I hope they improve how they prioritize and engage with customers in the store.

There are two types of people in this world. People who…read moreremember the glory days of self-serve frozen yogurt... and people who have never experienced the power of holding your destiny in a paper cup. Menchie's Frozen Yogurt should be that place. The comeback tour. The DIY dessert lab. The land where you mix, match, and absolutely ruin your self-control by the ounce. And at first glance? It is all there. Grab a cup. Pull your own froyo. Go wild with toppings. Pay by the pound like a dessert outlaw. Concept? Still elite. Still dangerous. Still one of the best ideas the dessert world ever had. Now... execution. Yikes. Let's talk flavors. I went in excited. Sampling like a kid in a candy store. And then... immediate regret. Some of these flavors tasted like they lost a bet. I hit that sample spoon a few times and seriously considered a life reset. Tough scene. I did what any seasoned froyo survivor would do. Audible. Landed on dulce de leche with a little vanilla chocolate swirl to try and balance things out. A veteran move. A necessary move. Then came the toppings. And this is where things got interesting again. Stacked. Loaded. Sneaky elite. And yes... Lorna Doone cookies made an appearance. Who invited grandma's cookie jar to the party? I don't know, but I respect it. That's a power topping. That's championship depth. And then... the texture. Man. This wasn't frozen yogurt. This was yogurt that went through something. It was icy. Overworked. Like the machine just gave up halfway through and said "good luck everybody." Every bite had that crunchy ice situation going on. Not creamy. Not smooth. Just... confused. Final verdict. Three stars strictly off the strength of the concept and the toppings carrying this place like LeBron in Game 7. The yogurt itself? Needs a serious pep talk. I'll be back... but only because I believe in second chances and Lorna Doones.

Quality products. I love anything sweet and cold. This hits the spot. You'll pay, but it's worth to…read morego out with family or friends or just yourself. Have fun in your life. Treat yourself to this. Menchie's has all the toppings you'll want. You have the ability to try flavors before you buy them. They give you a tiny cup as a sampler. Every time I go in there, the place is clean and tidy. No mess, just cleanliness. There are always young people working there. And usually fairly pleasant. Hint: try the plain yogurt. Mix it with something else. The yogurt is tangy and gives a "jump" to the other flavors.
