Manager Megan at this location is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL & IMMATURE! We've eaten at this location on a monthly basis for years! Management is a hit & miss. For the last two years it seems to have improved until this past Friday night. The person who took our order made some errors. When our food was ready we let them know right away & they were going to make it right. After waiting another 20 minutes it was still made wrong yet again. Manager Megan took a nasty attitude about it. We understand places get busy & workers may get stressed but when your a so called manager, control your attitude! She then had the audacity "to throw" the condiments at my husband?! What kind of manager does this? So unprofessional & immature! Before we left I went up to her to let her know I did not appreciate her attitude & there was no reason to treat customers the way she did! Her sassy response was "what do you expect me to do"? It's a shame customers have to deal with people like this! Do BETTER Habit Burger in Clovis! Useless service......they missed my online order and kept telling me they are working on it. Made me wait for 35 mins....going to spread the word around that service sucks. The food may be good, but this location has messed up my orders quite a few times. I've ordered curbside and they have taken a long time that I've had to go inside. My order has been given on accident to other cars and I've had to wait inside for it (defeating the purpose of ordering online/curbside to begin with). Very hit or miss tbh get more consistent and better service from McDonald's and for like half the price. Food was cold and had order extra crispy fries so they would at least be edible but came cold and borderline frozen. We've been coming to the Habit for many years, starting when it first opened in Santa Barbara. This Habit in Clovis is very good. These are the best char burgers around, always fresh ingredients and juicy. We like the teriyaki burger especially. At this location you can dine indoors or on the outside patio. I ordered Habit from Uber eats but it didn't give me the option to add ranch so I called the store to ask if they could and James put me on hold really quick to make sure and we ended up getting disconnected. He took the time to call me back and leave me a voicemail saying that he was able to put ranch in my order. I enjoy their hamburgers, but man, the ambiance needs some help. Their dining room is laid out so inefficiently that it is usually difficult to find a table where you can have a quiet meal and enjoy the conversations with people only at your table. Either your table is directly next to someone else's table where you can easily reach over and share a fry, none the less listen in on their conversation, or you are relegated to their massive main table with a large group. Yes, this location has an patio but there are no enclosures for winter, no heaters, and the traffic hum from Herndon is constant and prevents you from enjoying your meal. In the summer, there is no shade as you are sitting on the east side of the building, and you feel like you are eating on the freeway. So while the food is consistent, and the staff generally helpful and kind, unless I'm taking food to go or have a deal, I don't come here often. read more

Smiles through out the employees, atmosphere is up beat employees are very polite , welcoming and attentive. Been to other locations not so enticing, however this particular location has the customer service s hooked down! I would and will definitely drive for that welcome experience and hospitality! I am impressed with when your order is ready they review and itemize your order, others don't, but they need to visit this location and pick up on the proper ways to address their customers with their orders and politeness, instead of just giving you your tray with your ordered food! What seems to be the problem?? Don't they deserve at least 1 more star?? Let me explain- My first visit to this particular location was totally gratifying.. The burgers felt heavy, which is usually a good sign that they don't skimp.. I did take out, which takes about 5-10 min ride home and the burgers were still hot and juicy... Fries were hot but nothing special, just a steak cut type.. Second visit was disappointing.. The burgers were cold and unappealing to say the least.. Fries were also cold, kinda weird since it was a steady group of customers.. Basically I wanna give them 4 stars but there's clearly a consistency/quality control issue.. On the plus side- they give u plenty of condiments and a couple of pickled pepper varieties.. Hopefully management will catch wind of the issue and solve it.. Thought I'd give it another try now that it was closer to home, won't bother to go back to this location either. The one star was for the tropical tea which I've only found at Habit or Sequoia Sandwich - my fav tea of all time! For their price-point, their burgers are beyond decent and I have no complaints at all about the quality. They really do produce a good burger and the fact that they were able to get our order correct on a busy day was a major plus! Especially on a busy Saturday afternoon... Sure, we had to wait... but it wasn't that long considering the restaurant was packed when we got there. The onion rings? Meh... The fries? Yum! The burgers? Totally worth waiting for... Hand-pressed patties using a solid mix of ground beef, fresh lettuce, tomato and onion, and the buns seem to be fresh (a big plus in my book). Overall, a really good hamburger experience. Would I go back? Yes. In fact, My Wife and I will be going there this next Sunday. I'm a huge "burger aficionado" so finding this place was fortuitous. We will be back. Ordered 1 double char with cheese, 1 crispy chicken sandwich, 1 Cobb salad, 1 10 piece chicken bites, 1 order of onion rings and 2 mocha shakes. 32 minutes later I'm notified food is ready. The manager on duty and another girl hand me my bag which I begin to inspect. I told both the manager on duty and the girl assisting her all my food was not in the bag. They both insisted everything was in there. I ask about the chicken strips order and was rudely informed they don't sell chicken strip, only chicken bites and they are on the bottom of the bag. I then mention the onion rings are cold and received a negative response. After waiting 32 minutes I didn't have the patience to wait for warm onion rings anyway. I get home to get the food out and the chicken bites were not in the bag as originally stated by me at the counter. The double char was Luke warm, the crispy chicken was cold and the onion rings were cold. The only things correct we're the shakes and the salad and they were supposed to be cold. My wife did go back to get the chicken bites and the same manager was rude to her. I usually don't leave reviews like this but service and food were no where near worth the $45 paid. read more

I have been hearing nothing but good things about Habit Burger for the last couple of years. They didn't start popping up everywhere in Cali until after I moved, so I haven't tried it(every time I am in Cali, I want In N Out instead). We finally tried it on my most recent trip into town, and I was quite impressed. Small, but really good menu. I wasn't super hungry so I just went with one of their small cheeseburgers, with some fries and a shake to share with my fiance. All the food was really good, and I would say Habit Burger is the closest I have ever seen to "similar to In N Out". Good quality food though, for sure. I'll definitely be back. My one complaint is how small this place is, and my friends I was with said they are all like that. This place is apparently ALWAYS packed. There was a line out the door, and people hovering near tables to try and grab a seat. These places definitely need to be bigger. read more

The burgers remind me of my childhood. This is how burgers should taste! That being said, I have now moved on from the Charburger with cheese to the mushroom/Swiss Charburger. I'll be honest, my stepson and I LOVE the Habit for the chocolate shakes. We can leave or take the fries. My Husband likes the fries better than In&Out. He likes the Teriyaki burger. The service is fast and friendly. I enjoy watching their quality control and kitchen organization. It is a real example of how to run manage a kitchen with great communication. My only complaint is that seating can be difficult to come by, but hey! That's good news for business, because it means they are busy. read more

I'm really surprised by how much I like Habit Burger. I don't eat meat so I'm usually pretty skeptical of burger joints, but I actually have had great experiences here. They offer plenty of non-meat options that are really good. I recommend either the tuna sandwich or the veggie burger. The tuna was fine, and the teriyaki dressing is a nice touch. The veggie burger was awesome. It's so hard to find restaurants with a good veggie burger, but this is probably one of the best ones I've ever had. The only downside to going there is that their place on Herndon is way too small, and it can be hard to find a table. Their restaurant also wayyy too air conditioned! But anyway, I'm looking forward to going back and having more! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. read more

I was very excited to see a second Habit Burger open in Fresno/Clovis. I got here at 4:30pm during a week day, two weeks after they opened and it was packed. I stood in line, ordered my food and everything was perfect. I got a Char-burger combo with avocado, bacon, cheese, no mayo. Food came out perfectly. It cashier was nice, the girl that handed me my food was very nice and when i finished eating, a worker came by and took my try away for me. Ate here for the first time tonight. We ordered double cheeseburgers to go . We got our food in a timely manner, it was very hot so stayed warm on way home. As for the food, great loved it and the fries. Th reason I'm taking 1 star away is the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant. You could see the grill needs cleaning and also when you look in corners were all dirty, this is a sign they aren't doing a good job cleaning. As a former Quality Manager in food processing, I can tell you this will be a problem next time local food inspector co,es for inspection or impromptu visit. Just moved there and this was the only place that opened late in my neighborhood. First time I had the mushroom burger, but I couldn't tell the difference between the meat or the bread. There was no juice or flavor. It was bland The best part were the fries or maybe I was just hungry from a long day of unpacking. Second star is for the fries.
