We arrived shortly after the lunch rush; we had no idea about this place; only that we were 'hangry' and a eating here seemed like a good idea at the time. We both ordered a #2 double cheeseburger combo, him the Blue cheese and I got the American cheese with onion rings. Looking around the dining area it reminded me of a modern burger joint with favorable seating outside. Somebody ordered a salad that looked delish...Hmmm, maybe I'll get one too next time? The wait time was only about 10 minutes. The food portions looked small on the tray but it was big enough to hit the spot! The burger was juicy and the onion rings crisp and crunchy with flavor (salty-ish?). Not sure, but I really dug them both. I had a medium drink I crazy mixed of peach ginger and strawberry lemonade. The ranch dressing for the 'rings rounded out a great meal, and if I'm in the neighborhood again, I just might try out that salad I was peepin' at! My family and I were staying at the Hilton at the Peak resort nearby when we decided to try out The Habit. I had heard good things about it, but had never had the chance to try it out. The dining options at the resort were (surprisingly) abysmal, so now was our chance to eat at The Habit. Well we were very happy that we did! I loved my veggie burger and the shakes were delicious as well. I would put this place in the same category as a Five Guys, but I thought it tasted way better. We don't have a location that is very close to our home, but if one were to open closer to us I would definitely put this in our rotation. I usually love it here. My birthday is today, and every year they give me a free charburger. I ordered my free burger through the app, and got fries as well. Even added on a tip. I decided to do curbside pickup, as it's usually really busy inside the restaurant. I pulled in, there was a large with truck pulled into the curbside spot. It was blocking my vision of the second spot that I didn't realize was there. So I parked right in front of the entrance and checked in. Mind you, the parking lot wasn't full, just this giant truck and 3 other cars. My car was the only white car in the lot. Waited 10 minutes, no sign of anyone coming. Went in for my order, the girl behind the counter says very snotty like "I didn't see your car in the curbside spot." I told her there wasn't a spot avaliable due to the truck parked there. She snaps back "THERE'S ANOTHER SPOT BEHIND HIM". A SPOT THAT WASN'T VISIBLE WHEN I PULLED IN. She really couldn't peek out the door and see my car parked RIGHT THERE? I will never frequent this location again. I work in the customer service industry, and rarely complain. But her attitude was unacceptable. read more

wife and I each ordered a burger. My order was simply an avocado and bacon burger. The burger i received had only tomato and pickle. My wife returned to The Habit and was told they would replace it. She was also told to return in half an hour. When she returned in half an hour , When my wife arrive, they then put the order in. ( We are still trying to figure out why come back in half an hour ). 15 minutes later , she gets the replacement burger home and..... it had bacon and avocado.... it also had a toomato and a pickle. I'm a bit late in writing this review, but we came here in August (read: HOT as balls outside) for some burgers. The burgers were good, nothing to really complain about there. The problem was the place didn't have a/c. Not sure if it was just broken or what, but they made it seem like it was normal. It must have been a good 90 degrees in there, and humid, too. Before our burgers arrived I was sweating bad. Eating in that kind of heat is miserable. And I wasn't about to eat outside where it was 112 degrees, either. I've ordered habit grill on postmates but this was my first time eating inside at the restaurant. It actually was pretty packed at 8:30 pm on Saturday. Almost all the seating was occupied ! I ordered a veggie burger meal. I got grilled onions on my burger and the person said something about them and I was like ok that's fine. Turns out they are grilled on the same place as the meat ;-; Totally not her fault but it was so loud in there it was almost impossible to hear the cashier. My food was delicious and came out super speedy! Pretty solid veggie burger here. My kids like this place, too. The kiddo menu is legit and better than most places. If you're going for a meaty burger, there are loads of options, and still a couple options for us veggie-only eaters, too. You can request grilled onions or raw, but don't choose grilled if you're a vegetarian, as they are cooked on the meat grilling surface. They'll serve your sandwich/burger on any bread you choose, so be creative. Also a nice touch is the peppers bar to add to your burger. Fries and rings are a la carte, but worth the buy. Those onion rings are delish. It's a solid crowd pleaser and the fancy cucumber lemonades and such that they have as refillable fountain drinks are great, too. read more

Normally we would have called to deal with this, but there was no way to do that. This store really ruined our meal tonight, and then there was absolutely no way to contact anyone to fix it, short of coming back to the restaurant (defeats the purpose of a takeout order). No one answered your phone - it was all automated, telling us to go to the website. Trouble is, the website also didn't work when we tried to use the " Contact Us" feature. We ordered 2 different double char burgers, but received 2 single veggie burgers. Ordinarily, we would have just eaten them, and griped about it - but these tasted terrible, and I do mean awful. We ordered large drinks, but were given regular sized cups, and the only drink available was mango limeade. I can understand about shortages of varieties of beverages, but if we couldn't have the size we ordered, then refund the difference. In the heart of midtown Phoenix, this tiny place serves up killer charred burgers. The restaurant is one of those (order and come pick up) kind of places, so no servers, your food is ready when the vibrating device lights up and vibrates. I walk in and was greeted by a lovely employee who was ready to take my order. I ordered the BBQ bacon char burger with portobello mushrooms and avocado, and sweet potato fries with a medium drink. They also had different type of goodies like tempura green beans so I got me one of those. It took a little time, but for quality food I guess the wait is worth it. The taste was good. I think I may have had too many elements in my burger that I didn't taste the flavors but there also was too much BBQ sauce. The geek beans were very tasty and my favorite was the sweet potato fries. I went to the location on Thunderbird in Phoenix. When I pulled up the closed sign was in the window, but you could tell there were people inside. When I entered the floors were filthy dirty. I placed my order for a double burger with white American and no bun, but lettuce wrap instead. When I got my order home it was on a bun with no cheese. I returned to the store to let them know what happened and I was asked if I wanted a rework or a refund. I opted for the rework. I think the associates need more customer service training. I have been to one of the locations in Las Vegas many times and have never had any issues. I will go back to this location one more time for a second chance. read more

1st time trying The Habit Burger Grill out. I received a mailer in the mail promoting a free sandwich. This week highlighted the grilled chicken whic is perfect because I don't eat red meat. The Resturant is a cute modern style establishment. Hip music playing when you walk into the small dining area that includes outside patio service. The establishment is very clean and organized. I came during lunch hour so it was busy. Limited parking and a long line that went fast. I decided to take my order to go. I have say I was not greeted when I walked in which could because the Resturant was slammed. There is a trendy virtual menu to look at while waiting in line. The cashier noticed my coupon and said "there are many steps to this sandwich order." Then she asked me questions on what I did and did not want. It was confusing because I did not see these options on the virtual menu like Smashburger. I also felt rushed. See at Smashburger they always ask you if this is your first time dining at the Resturant. Then they welcome you or they thank you for returning. I added onion rings to my order and that was it. The wait time was not long. They give buzzers to their guest so you know when your food is prepared. I feel it takes that personal touch away. At Smashburger your assigned a number then your food is delivered to you. This is for dine in. Takeout they walk the food over to you. I checked my order to make sure my food was accurate. My sandwich was prepared wrong. I asked for no cheese and they put it on there by accident. My sandwhich was quickly remade as the grilled chicken is already prepared. They just pull it out of a silver heated container and reheat the meat. There was never an apology. I was just ignored and told to wait. I got home to indulge and noticed I was not given any napkins or condiments. My food was nicely wrapped which helped it stay warm. My chicken sandwhich had a nice presentation garnished with lettuce and an orange slice. My sandwich bread was soaked in butter. I like the type of bread but way to much butter. The chicken and veggies were good. My onion rings were good as well. They were not salty or to greasy. I have to say it was not bad but I am all about customer service and a great experience. I may try them again but I am not in a hurry. Smashburger has sold me since the very first time I walked through there doors. I have been to three in the valley and have had the same great experience at each location. Which is why I now eat there at least 2-4 times a week. read more

I love me The Habit! I hadn't been to this location before and was pleasantly surprised by how much quicker they were than the location on Guadalupe and McClintock. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because some of the tables were dirty and none of the employees cleaned them up. Between that, not using some tables to allow proper distancing, and most of the tables already being taken, I couldn't have eaten in the restaurant even if I had wanted to. And she remembered to ask me for preferred cooking temperature. I forgot and since I like it "rare", it's important. You know, she could've just had it cooked "medium", neglected my true temperature choice and let it go. But she checked, I'm happy! The Habit advertises, "sushi-quality", but this expression has no real world food meaning. It's like when they say "voted best buffet". Who said? Who voted? I guess what it really means, what it's supposed to mean is it "really good tuna". AND IT WAS!!! REALLY GOOD TUNA. See photos! I don't like The Habit 'beeper alert system' they employ, but this was mid-afternoon and it was PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!! I watched it being made. Slow slow service for just an okay burger. We came here because someone gave us a gift card. We were excited to try their menu, but we were disappointed when we came in around 3pm on a weekday and discovered we'd have to spend almost 30 whole minutes just waiting for our order. We both got burgers and they were not memorable. Fries were okay. The only good part of our meal were the milkshakes that were pretty tasty. Overall, highly disappointing. We had a large order. But we had the absolute worst service & food. We had to multiple times clarify our order, mind you it wasn't busy at all. 1 other customer already w/their food.. when we got our food almost every order was wrong, missing or added condiments, burgers were completely under cooked, 2 were not edible. Customer service was no where to be found, the guy was laughing while we were explaining everything was wrong and some were raw. He didn't seem to care, would say "well is everything else ok?" didn't try to fix anything or offer a refund. I would not recommend this location at all, they seemed to not care about anything. Took the kiddos here for a Spring Break Burger and shake. I was going to go with a salad, they looked great! Decided to splurge and ordered a Char Broiled Cheese Burger and Boy am I glad I did! Yum ME!! Thick, char grilled patty loaded with grilled onions and the usual toppings. The kids size burger seemed to be the same size as the regular burger which my older boys gobbled down in mere seconds.
