We were looking for something quick and casual to eat and saw this Habit. Last time I had the habit, the one in La Habra, I got sick so I've avoided trying another one. Today I was feeling adventurous and willing to try a different location. Parking was easy during a late lunch and queue to order. We used the screens to order and it was weird to be asked for tip when you placed your order and you grab your order to take to the table. Nevertheless, I ordered the ahi tuna sandwich as it sounded interesting and I wanted seafood. From the sides, the onion rings were my favorite followed by the green beans. Onion rings were big and freshly fried so very crisp. The green beans were also very crisp and tasty. The fries were just ok, not my favorite. My burger was really good with the ahi tuna slightly cooked but a little pink in the center. I would definitely get this again! The reason for the missing stars in my review is to do with the lack of cleanliness in the dining area. There were multiple dirty tables inside and outside. We had to kind of clean our table before we got our food which goes back to why ask for tip? They have 2 gender neutral restrooms and both were not great with missing paper towel and kind of dirty. I gave this location a chance after 3 years. This place is a disaster. The cashier was upset, giving customers a bad attitude and not making eye contact with anyone. I ordered a Cesar salad with ahi tuna. The tuna was over cooked. The salad was made with the same chopped lettuce they use in their burgers. Never had I ever received it this way. No lemon available. When asked they said "this is all we have" and gave me a dried lemon end. Onion rings sat in the counter for a good 10 mins before I received my meal. I didn't complain. The food was fine. Regular type of burger place. My issue is with the employees. We ordered a kids meal with a milk. The employee gave my son ice cream mix (before it goes into the machine). My son had drank most of the it. I notice it looked strange. Took a sip sure enough it wasn't milk. I went up to front to talk to the employee about the situation she ends up telling me that they don't have milk. Which is absurd why wouldn't she tell me when she served it! The quality of the food has plummeted suddenly. My family has been having a special night out at The Habit once a week for years and now we can't go there. I'm so disappointed. The serving sizes are 3/4 what they used to be. Little tiny burgers, little bowl of wilty salad. Soggy fries. Twice now I've ordered a sandwich and had it arrive with the toasted bread room temperature, greasy, and rock hard, like it had been cooked in the morning and then sat out all day. I took my dad here today on Saturday June 28, 2025 and this place was very nice and the order taker was super sweet and even brought out food to our table because we are disabled and we order the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and mine was with Teriyaki Sauce and my dads was with BBQ Sauce and we order Fries no Salt and Onion Rings no salt and had a Dragon Fruit a drink and Strawberry Lemonade and this food was the Best. Cooked perfect and nice and hot and so delicious. The seating area was nice where we looked out a window at some beautiful palm trees and we can wait to return again. We will try a salad next time but the cashier was so nice and sweet and so kind to us and patient while we were ordering. She listened to every detail we wanted and cared for us disabled people. Food - 5 Stars Service - 4 stars I am a vegetarian and this place didn't have a lot of options but it's veggie burger didn't disappoint. The bun was toasted, the toppings were great. The side of green beans were a perfect pair. My issue was that the person at the counter asked me if I wanted guacamole and of course I said yes. I did not know this was an extra charge. I would have gladly paid it but I would prefer to be told that since it was offered to me. Once I got my burger him I realized that the extra quac I paid for was not on the burger. I'm NOT rating one star because I waited 15 minutes to have my curbside order brought out before I had to get a baby out of the car to go inside to find out where my order was. I'm giving one star to whoever the manager is. Once inside, my order was sitting on the counter, however on a Friday night, very busy, THERE WAS ONLY ONE PERSON working the counter and two cooks in the back. But..the burger meat was undercooked, this is unacceptable! I guess I'm going to rant about the process of the franchise and not this store itself! The whole call center ordering deal SUCKS. I called, I gave them my credit card number because they said that's how you do phone orders for pick up. The first person I talked too, said it went through and just hung up. I called back, to check if it went through and they confirmed it did. Sent my husband to pick up the order, apparently there was no phone order and my payment didn't go through. So I have to wait extra time and have him place a whole other order. I do appreciate the manager helping my husband out! We've never had anything bad here up until yesterday. We ordered our food to go around 2pm and when we got home my charburger meat was still raw and undercooked. I didn't realize this until I had already had 2 bites. I had to throw it out as it looked like a disaster waiting to happen. My husband's meat was raw as well but not as bad as mine. Whoever assembled mine literally doused the entire burger with mayonnaise. There was soooo much mayonnaise on it that not only was it dripping out everywhere, you couldn't even find the pickles because they were buried in mayonnaise. Yet when they delivered the item, the birthday burger was nowhere to be seen. Worse yet, not only did the app delete the offer after being "used," the app's "past orders" tab also doesn't work, meaning I can't use the offer in a future order, or even show the restaurant that I ordered with the birthday offer! The Habit at Whitwood Center is a great place for Burgers and Sandwiches. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich is perfectly marinated and seasoned. It is served on a Buttered Ciabatta Bun that is Grilled. Ordered curbside for the whole purpose of not having to go inside to place my order and to avoid to long wait time. My Order stated it would be ready at 3:18pm parked and confirmed at 3:15pm with enough time to spare didn't get my food till 3:25pm food was cold and soggy. She bluntly, replied, and said those items are sell served, and if I wanted some, I had to go inside and serve them myself. This location is currently undergoing construction, so the inside is not aesthetically pleasing while it is functional. It is located in the Whittier mall which offers lots of shops, and can be seamlessly added to an errand trip or a weekend out. On this week's visit I decided to try out the new seasonal Italian Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich, it just sounded like what I want in a sandwich and they pulled it off. Start with a ciabatta roll, which feels tactfully different and substantial, then add grilled chicken, add a slice of salami, provolone cheese, and finish with arugula, tomato, a balsamic vinaigrette and a basil pesto aioli. I will note that I could barely taste the salami or the balsamic vinaigrette, and think the sandwich would succeed even without those. Overall the pesto dominates the flavor, the arugula provides a tad of bitterness, and the roll completes the mixture of textures, just all around great. We also got a Santa Barbara single char and sweet potato fries. Both are consistent and tasty, perhaps the best sweet potato fries for a large chain. read more
